She's Back and Better than Ever
Blog Hop

Aren't you all excited for the new Victoria Case for SCACD collection?!  I hope you are enjoying your stops along the hop!  If you are here from fabulous and so creative Lori's blog then you definitely are in the RIGHT spot!  Isn't Aurora GORGEOUS?  I am so in love with all of these BRAND NEW stamps!  Seeing how I am at the CHA SuperCraft Show today I am scheduling this post so I hope you are all enjoying the hop!!!
Today I am sharing the BRAND NEW Berry Nice!  You can color this so she has grapes, blackberries, blueberries, raspberries, whatever your heart is content with!  I decided to color her as if she is eating grapes. Of course she was colored with Copics ;)   I've used Basic Grey Wisteria papers and finished with Wild Orchid Flowers.

Sorry there aren't a lot of pictures in this post....I'm staying at my friend's house so we have been busy (not a lot of computer time) on the go all week!  Talk to you all when I get back and will share LOTS of pictures, I promise!  Your next stop on the hop is the ultimate talented Aud.

TIO*T* - Animal Challenge

Happy Thursday Friends~

Today is Day 3 at CHA!  Woot Woot!  Got a migraine at the end of Day 1...not so fun!  I did get the chance to meet up with Marti, my fellow DT member at I am planning on meeting up with the fabulous Suzanne!  Yippy!

So today is Thursday....and you know what that means....TIO*T*!!!  This week's challenge is to use an ANIMAL on your card!
For my card I have decided to use Teddi and Friend!  Of course I had to make a gift set too! :)
Here's Teddi and Friend again!  Don't you love this Teddi stamp?  I absolutely love him!  Papers are from the fabulous Memory Box Jubilee collection.  Sentiment is from the fabulous KK Goldilocks stamp set.
Teddi was colored with Copics.  As you can see the I've used my Viva Decor Ice White Pearl pen and added custom sized pearls to the scalloped oval.  Behind the scalloped oval is a Labels 11Illuminate Smooch has been added to the flowers and butterfly for some sparkle.
Flowers are from Wild Orchid and consist of pink Classic Sweet Rose25mm rose, 15mm roses, 10mm roses, and aster daisy.  The charm was a gift in an order that I recently purchased.  Papers were edged in star dust stickles.

I hope you've liked my gift set!  Now make sure you head over to the SCACD Blog to check out what the other girls have made.

WOJ #84 - Fuzz It

Hello Everyone~

Hope you are having a wonderful week so far!  CHA has been a migraine at the end of day one so that hasn't been the greatest...hoping the headache goes away REAL fast!  This week at WOJ Challenge Blog Donalda has put together a very fun challenge!  This week is to FUZZ your projects!  This can be felt, flower soft, flock, anything fuzzy!
For my card I have used this new cutie from the Summer Store Stamp Kit.  I absolutely love this cutie!  I paired her up with some Cosmo Cricket DeLovely papers.  The edge of my papers have been stickalized with star dust stickles.
Of course the image of this bathing beauty and the starfish were colored with Copics.  I've tried coloring her with darker "skin" colors to make it look like she got a tan.  Then, I've used Silver Spica on her sunglasses and then coated the lenses with diamond glaze for a more realistic "sunglass" look.  For my Fuzz I have added ultra fine flower soft in sand to parts of the beach, and then I took white flock and created some white puffy clouds in my airbrushed sky.  The beach scene was created with my Copic ABS.
Flower are from the famous, Wild Orchid Crafts.  This first arrangement uses the Daffodils and 6mm closed rosebuds.
The bottom arrangement was made with 35mm Large 2-colored Wild Rose, another Daffodil, and some 15mm yellow roses that I took my Copic ABS and airbrushed to match the large wild rose being 2 colors.
Finally here is another view so that you can see the "fuzz" on my project better.

WOC #2

Good Morning Everyone~

I hope your week is off to a good start!  In a few hours I will be driving to Chicago for CHA!  Woot Woot!  I am so excited I can't even stand it!!!! :)  I'm so looking forward to the vacation from school....although I will be wondering what I am missing this week....good thing I have a group member I am close to who will keep me in the loop!

It's hard to believe 2 weeks have already passed since the debut of the Wild Orchid Crafts Challenge Blog!!!  WOW we are thrilled to bits with all of the entries...we hope that you will join us for Challenge #2 which is LACE!  Use lace on your projects....
For my card I have decided to make an easel's been a while since I last made one and I love how these look!  Papers are K&Company.  I've been seeing quite a few people stamping their images on Kraft cardstock and then coloring.  I thought I would give this a go with my rustic/western theme.
For my image, I've used Howdy from Sampler Edition #5 by Elisabeth Bell exclusively for SCACD.  My lace is from Wild Orchid Crafts, it's the Natural Cotton Lace.  I've pleated the lace around Howdy and the outside border of the the look this gives.  WOC has LOTS of fantastic lace!!!  Make sure you go and check them out.
Howdy has been colored with Copics on kraft cardstock.  **TIP** One thing I have noticed when coloring on kraft cardstock is that you have to use darker shades of colors.  I wanted light pink but when I started coloring with the original colors I had picked out they didn't even show up on the make sure you use a darker shade for your wanted colors.  Howdy's belt and tops of her boots have been painted with Copic Opaque White and then gone over with Viva Decor Glitter Liner in Hologram.  The glitter liner was also added to the flowers on her hat and shirt.  Then Viva Decor Cream Pearl Liner was used around the scalloped Oval nestie.
The flowers are all from Wild Orchid and consist of 35mm Wild Rose, 30mm Wild Rose, 25mm Rose, 15mm Roses, 10mm roses, and 6mm closed rosebuds.  Flowers were adhered with Incredibly Tacky Glue.  I am telling this glue is the BEST for adhering flowers!  I used to use glue dots, but after a month the flowers would fall off.  With Incredibly Tacky I no longer have random flowers falling off's amazing!!! I total must have!  The jewels in the flower arrangement are Light Pink Crystal Drops.  Flowers have been sparklized with diamond stickles.
Here's the bottom panel of the card.  Sentiment is from Verve and nested on top a Labels One die and scalloped oval.  Ribbon is Baby Pink 25mm Organza Ribbon also from Wild Orchid!  They have a fabulous collection of colors.  The bow was created with my Bow Easy.
Corners were decorated with pearls made by my Viva Decor Cream Pearl Pen.

I hope you've enjoyed my lace creation.  Now make sure you head over to the WOC Challenge Blog to see the rest of the DT's amazing creations!!!  And head over to Wild Orchid to get some lace, flowers and to check out all their newest adds...I hear there's lots of bling!

SCACD teams up with QP for VIVA Fun!

Welcome to
the SCACD and
Quixotic Paperie

Quixotic Paperie owned by the Fabulous Elaine and our Susana of SCACD have been partnering on efforts behind the scenes such that they consider each other International Sister Stores. They are combining efforts on certain mutual adventures starting with this awesome Viva Blog Hop which of course involves Yummy Candy!!  So make sure you stop at BOTH store Blogs -->SCACD HERE--< and -->Quixotic Paperie HERE<--

You will have a chance to win a set of 3 of the most popular Pens - (Ice White Pearl pen, Holographic Glitter pen and the Clear Gloss gel pen). So each Store Blog will offer up one chance to win the set. How Yummy is that?!!  The candy will run thru the 31st.   All you have to do is answer a question at each store blog - 1 entry at each STORE blog per person please!

If you are here from amazing Lori's Blog then you are in the right spot!  If not, please start at the the Quixotic Paperie Blog so that you don't miss any fabulous stops along the hop path!
I'm so excited to bring you some fun creations using the VIVA DECOR Pearl Pens (found at Quixotic Paperie for our international friends)!!!  My projects show that you can use Viva Decor not only on paper but also on MANY different surfaces...think metal, glass, wood, etc.  This is a little notebook and watering can (filled with yummy chocolates!) that I've decked out with Viva!  Can you tell I love my Viva Pens?!!
The watering can was decorated using Basic Grey papers (Basic Grey can also be found at Quixotic Paperie for our international friends).  The watering can was a clearance buy on one of my shopping excursions a while ago...I just had to have it and it did come in handy with this project!
Around my MS punched border I took out my Viva Decor Ice White Pearl Pen (Viva Decor Ice White Pearl Pen is also available at Quixotic Paperie for our international friends) and used it to put the centers in the flowers.  I really love how with these pearl pens you can customize any size pearl that you need (I know I say this all of the time...but it's the absolutely truth!!)  These pens come in MANY fun colors too!  And you definitely get a lot for the price that you pay...the bottles are's a great deal!!!
Next is this fun notebook that I found in the dollar spot on day at Michales during one of my shopping trips.  It's able to hold a photo but I thought the Watering Can (which only comes as a BONUS when you purchase the Hearts & Hugs Summer Collection by Victoria Case for SCACD......exclusive SCACD stamps are also available at Quixotic Paperie for our international friends) was the perfect image to use here.
The Watering Can was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then colored with my Copics.
Here I have used my Viva Decor Lilac Pearl Pen (also available here at Quixotic Paperie) to create my own flourish coming off of this fun button.  It really is so wonderful how the Viva products can be used on any type of surface!
And of course one more angle pic so you can see the side of the notebook that also comes with it's own pen!

I hope you have enjoyed my Viva creations!  Your next stop is over at the wonderful and ultimately talented Carolyn's Blog....I know she has a fantastic creation to share with you!  Hope you enjoy the rest of the hop!

BUT...before I go, I'd like to share some  more CANDY NEWS with you....if you thought today was sweet, make sure you head over to the SCACD Store Blog on Sunday the 25th for the chance to win some MORE CANDY.....EEK I am gonna faint from all the excitement!!! :)

TIOT 77 - Swan Princess Fun

Hi Friends~

I hope you are all doing wonderful!!!  Only 3 more weeks left of my summer school class!  YIPPY!!!  One more paper to go + one presentation and then I'm DONE....get a couple weeks off and then fall classes start!  Bummer that my time off is so short...but getting this hard class done during the summer really will be a blessing!!!  Also I'm so pumped and looking forward to CHA this next week!  This is the first time I am attending so I'm seriously jumping out of my seat with excitement!!!  Looking forward to meeting many of my blogging friends and of course the fun getaway is a blessing too!

It's Thursday.....Are you ready for another TIO*T*?!  I'm very excited to share my creation with you today!!!  Not only have I used one of my brand new fairytale Kraftin' Kimmie stamps (which Susana now has at SCACD)....combined with the challenge this week I think this turned out amazing!  Don't you love when your creations turn out just as you have pictured in your head?  This week Suzanne has an awesome sketch challenge for us!
Here is the brand new Swan Princess and the sentiment even comes with her along with a cute swan and rose accessory stamps...this mini set is definitely worth the money!  When I saw this card that Elaine made I knew I had to have this beauty!  I've used Kaisercraft Gypsy Sister papers oh how I love this paper collection...I think these papers and colors scream "Kim!" LOL!
Here's the wonderful sketch that Suzanne has made for us to play with!  I hope that you will play along with us!
Swan Princess has been colored with my Copics, I used mainly BG colors and added B52 for a blueish tint to the teal/greens.  I've added eyelashes with my Copic Multiliner to make her look a little more girlie (after I saw my DT Sister Aud do this on one of her cards....thanks for the inspiration hun!)  This beauty has been cut out with the Oval and Scalloped Oval nesties.  The famous "Crissy Armstrong Dot Shadow" has been made with colors from the princess' dress.
Flowers are a mixture from Wild Orchid Crafts.  The large 35mm Wild Rose started off white and I airbrushed it with my Copic ABS again using the colors from Swan Princess' dress.  The 20mm roses are from the Purple/Lilac Floral Foundations pack.  The small roses are 10mm white roses that also have been airbrushed.  To finish off the flower collection is a white Gladioli Stem that too has been airbrushed.  I've added star dust stickles to the Gladioli stem for some extra bling!
Finally I have another angle to show you of Miss. Princess.  I've added Illuminate Smooch to her wings for even more bling!  I hope you have enjoyed my card!  I hope that you now head over to the SCACD Blog to check out the amazing creations my DT Sisters made with the sketch!

You're Fantastic & a Tutorial

Happy Friday!  I hope you all have a wonderful weekend.  I just got home from the was sad, but I loved spending time after the service with my friend's family (or as I call them my "adopted" family)...they are the greatest!

Today I have a fun card to share with you and a tutorial too!  Lots of fun here today! :)  Do you remember -->THIS<-- project that I shared with you back in June?  Well I used the same image and made a tutorial to share with you how to create the beach scene that I made!  The tutorial, can be found  -->HERE<--  over at the SCACD Blog!  :)

Now onto the card, which I have used the sketch from Sketch Saturday.
MME Bloom and Grow papers have been used on this card.   I have used By the Sea by Victoria Case exclusively for SCACD.  She is from the Hearts and Hugs Summer Collection

I've colored her with Copics.  She has then been cut out with Spellbinders oval and scalloped oval.  For the background piece I have used Labels 11 and on the edges I have used my Viva Decor Pearl Pen in Kiwi and after making my pearls I then covered them with Glamour Dust for more sparkle.
Flower are all from Wild Orchid Crafts.  I've again used white flowers and my Copic ABS to airbrush them with the colors to match my cutie pie's swimsuit.  I've used  a Gardenia, and two 20mm roses. Flowers have been spritzed with Smooch Spritz in Vanilla Shimmer.

One more angle shot so you can see how the finished water looks!  Now head over -->HERE<-- to the SCACD blog to check out the tools you need to make your own water scene!  I'd also love if you'd link your water projects over at the tutorial because I'd really love to see your water work! :)

TIOT #76 - Clean and Simple

Happy Thursday night everyone!  I hope you all had a wonderful day!  YAY tomorrow is Friday...too bad I have to go to a funeral :(  Our best friend's Grandma passed away this week so I will be going to spend some time with him and his family.  Today's card is the card that I made for the family.  It also is my sample for this week's TIO*T* card!!!  Suzanne has challenged us to make a clean and simple card with just white/cream and one extra pop of your image can be multi-colored.  Of course this was a little tough for me as I don't think it's in my blood to make a simple card...hee hee!
For my card I have used the NEW Just For You by Elisabeth Bell exclusively for SCACD that is from the Sampler Edition #5.  This stamp is gorgeous...I absolutely love the swirls on the vase!  This stamp can be perfect for any occasion...birthday, thinking of you, invitation, you name it!  Of course you can see that I've used blue for my pop of color.  I've used a Sizzix embossing folder for the back panel.  Corners were jazzed up with my Viva Decor Light Blue Pearl Pen.
The image was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Neenah Solar White cardstock and then colored with Copics.  I've cut the image out with my Spellbinders Oval die, and the pansy background was made with my MS border punch.  The main image was edged with my Viva Decor Glitter Liner in Hologram.
Flower are from the fabulous Wild Orchid Crafts!  All flowers were white and then I airbrushed them to match the color blue from my cardstock.  I've used 8mm semi-open roses, 10mm roses, and a 30mm wild rose.  All flowers have been accented with Star Dust Stickles.
Finally is another view of the beautiful vase!  From this angle I am hoping that you can see the shimmer to my image.  After coloring with Copics I then went over the image with various Twinkling H2Os to add that shimmer to the image!

I hope you head over to the SCACD Blog to see what amazing creations the other DT members have made!!!  They are all stunning!  I also have a fun tutorial for SCACD coming up soon and you don't want to miss it!

WOJ #83 - Sketch by Bev

Hello Friends....Happy Wednesday!  Hope you are all having a wonderful week!  Today I'm HALF way done with my last summer class....Thank God!  I'm hoping the next four weeks go smoothly!  Two papers down and two more + one presentation to go!  Too bad the next two papers are the hard ones.....Grrrr!

But...onto much more fun and exciting the Whiff of Joy Challenge for this week!  Woo-Hoo!  For challenge #83 Bev has provided us with a SUPER fun sketch!  Thanks for that Bev! ;)
As you can see I have used one of the BRAND NEW City Girls from Collection II!  This is Willow with Cocktail!  I just love her sitting there drinking her cosmopolitan....maybe I need one of these to un-stress from my class!!!!  I've used some MME papers from the Meadowlark Dusk Collection...I think these are my new favorite....oh wait....I love name is Kim and I'm addicted to paper, Copics, stamps, and flowers!  hee hee!
As you can see this is Bev's wonderful sketch!  I have actually turned it on it's side for my card....and will definitely use this sketch again!
Miss. Willow has been colored with Copics and cut out with a Spellbinders Labels 4.  I thought she looked funny sitting in mid-air so I tried to make it look like she was sitting on a ledge somewhere.  I've also used my Viva Decor Cream Pearl Pen to give Willow a pearl necklace, earrings, and anklet.
And we all know that I can't make a card without adding flowers!  hee hee!  To this card I have added a White Flat Gardenia that is from Wild Orchid CraftsStar dust stickles has been applied to bling this beauty up a bit although this flower is so gorgeous in real life it would not even need bling because it's so stunning!!!

NOW...I hope that you decide to play along with this challenge as Katharina has very generously offered a Fun in the Sun Stamp Kit as a prize for 1 lucky participant!!!  Remember in order to be in the drawing to win this amazing prize you need to make a card with Bev's sketch and you NEED TO USE A WOJ STAMP! :)  Happy Creating!!!!  Now make sure you head over to the WOJ Challenge Blog to see what the other girls have made....their creations are going to leave you breath-less!

Stamps: Willow with Cocktail (Whiff of Joy)
