WOC Blog Hop & Candy

Welcome to the Wild Orchid Crafts Classic Colour Roses Blog Hop!  Today the WOC DT are bringing to you some beautiful new roses called:
This collection is an all new colour range and is a mixture of Vintage and Soft Faded colours!!!  They are all BEAUTIFUL!!!

If you've come here from the fabulous Jacqui's blog then you are in the right spot.  If not, please go to Bev's blog to start at the beginning of the hop....because you don't want to miss a stop along this amazing you HAVE to check out these NEW Classic Colour Roses....they are gorgeous!!!
For my card I have used 2 new to me techniques.  First I stamped my image on some kraft cardstock and then took my paint brush with a little bleach and bleached out the stamped image so that I could use my Copics to color the beautiful image.  After it was colored I ran it through my embossing folder to give the image a faux cross-stiched/fabric look.  I think it's perfect for a vintage theme!  Cotton Lace (from Wild Orchid) adds to the  beautiful vintage look of this card.  Decorative Metal Corners (also from Wild Orchid) were the perfect touch to add even a little more vintage to this card....I absolutely adore these corners...they are so light weight and I adhere them and my flowers to my creations using the fabulous Crafters Pick Incredibly Tacky Glue.  Papers are from the Kaisercraft English Rose Collection.
Flowers from Wild Orchid make up my arrangement which consists of a NEW 35mm Classic Colour Trellis Rose, NEW Classic Colour 25mm Roses, Cherry Blossoms, NEW Classic Colour 10mm Roses, Hip Rosebuds, 4mm Closed Rosebuds, and Burgundy Crystal Stems.
Image corners have been accented with Self Adhesive 3mm Pearls.  I can't believe how many of these pearls come in one definitely are getting more than your $$ worth when purchasing these...and the wide arrangement of colors to choose from at Wild Orchid means that you can match your pearls to any creation you make!!!

Thanks to a very generous Paul and Siri at Wild Orchid Crafts, I'm lucky enough to be able to give away some of these fabulous NEW Classic Colour Roses!!  Make sure you leave a comment for your chance to win the following prize:

WOC #22 - White + 2 Colors

Happy Monday...I hope you all had a fabulous Easter weekend and got to spend time with your loved ones.  Hubby and I spent yesterday with my in-laws....had a yumalicious meal.  Then had to head home to work on some homework.  Only 2 more weeks of classes + 1 week of exams and then I will be a graduating girl!  I am soooo excited....May 14h is on its way and keeps getting closer and closer and I am loving that!

Today is Wild Orchid Challenge Day!  YIPPY!!!  This week our challenge is White + 2 other Colors & use Roses (either flower roses or papers with roses on it).  Please note that we have some new rules over at the WOC Challenge Blog!  They are:
1. All entries MUST have at least ONE WOC product on
2. You may combine our challenge with NO MORE than 2 other challenges
3. You MUST link back to the Wild Orchid Challenge Blog, and
4. NO Back linking, only NEW projects/cards please.
Now that we got the formalities out of the way....let's get onto some crafty fun!!!
My color combo for today's challenge is WHITE, PINK, and GREY.  I had so much fun making this girly card!  The cutie pie featured on here is Day Dreaming Peeker who is part of The Peekers Collection at SCACD.  I so remember having my jewelry box with the pink ballerina that danced and played music everytime I opened it up!  Papers are from the MME Stella Rose Hazel Collection.  The jewels in the corners of the card are found at Wild Orchid Crafts and are the fabulous self adhesive rhinestones that come in MANY different colors!  The stunning lace is also from should see the amazing selection they have.  The white panel in upper right hand corner goes along with the "rose" part of this week's challenge.  I took a white piece of paper and embossed it with my manhattan rose embossing folder, then took Illuminate Smooch and went over the raised embossed lines for some added the look it gave!
This cutie pie was colored with Copics.  I've added tulle to her skirt so that she has a beautiful ballerina skirt just like the ballerina in her jewelry box!  Diamond Glaze was used on the mirror in the jewelry box to make it more real.  Star dust Stickles was used to give Day Dreaming Peeker some beautiful pink ballerina shoes.  She was cut out with a SB oval nestie and popped up onto a Labels 4.  My Viva Decor Hologram Glitter Liner was used to edge the image.
Flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts!  The cute little white flowers are the NEW Sweetheart Blossoms!  I absolutely LOVE these and they come in a variety of colors...make sure you go and check them out and order yours right away!!!  Flower arrangement one consists of a Small Flat Gardenia, 20mm Roses, Sweetheart Blossoms, Hip Rosebuds, and 8mm Semi-Open Rosebuds.
Flower arrangement two consists of a Small Flat Gardenia, 20mm Roses, Sweetheart Blossoms, Hip Rosebuds, and 8mm Semi-Open Rosebuds.  Here you can also see the beautiful self adhesive rhinestones.
Finally one more view so you can see all the fun sparkle on this card....and you can see the dimension of Day Dreaming Peeker's tulle skirt! :)

I hope you've enjoyed my card today....I can't wait to see what you create for our challenge!  Make sure you head over to the Wild Orchid Challenge Blog so you can see the other fabulous creations by the rest of the DT!

Peeker Fever!

Has Peeker Fever hit you yet?  It sure as here!!! :)  I absolutely adore the newest collection at SCACD called The Peekers!  These adorable stamps are Susana's personal ideas and with the help of Elisabeth Bell these beauties are now a reality!
Again I have made another post it note holder.  This one was for another co-worker of mine!  Her favorite color is red so with that as my focus this is what I created for her!  This features the beautiful and sweet Hey Birdy Peeker!
Here is the top of the easel card/holder.  Papers are from the Memory Box Brioche Collection.  Ribbon in the bottom left corner is Vintage Seam Binding in Antique Gold.   Pearls in the upper right hand corner were made using my Viva Decor Red Pearl Pen.
Hey Birdy Peeker was colored with Copics and the background was airbrushed.  The ribbon on her dress and hat were dazzled up with Illuminate Smooch.  The whole image was bordered using my Viva Decor Hologram Glitter Liner.  Little butterflies were punched using a MS punch and then I accented them with my Viva Decor Ice White Pearl Pen.  Diamond Glaze was added to the water in the bird bath to give it more of a realistic look.
Flowers are from Wild Orchid and the arrangement consists of a Gardenia, 25mm roses, 15mm roses, 8mm semi-opened rosebuds, 4mm closed rosebuds, Gypsophila, and Pearl Stamens.  Flowers have been glitterized with Diamond Stickles.
Here you can see the bottom of the post it note holder.  Again accented with more Wild Orchid Craft Flowers...same as in the arrangement on the top part of the card.  I hope you've enjoyed the stop by!

Sad Day....

Hi Friends~
I hope you are all having a great week.  Unfortunately today is a sad day!  Today our friend says goodbye to his sister.  She was taken from us this past Friday due to a car accident.  At 23 years old she had her whole life ahead of her and was taken too soon from Earth....she was planning her wedding for this fall....and besides her wonderful family and fiance she leaves behind a 1 year old daughter.  If you could all say an extra prayer today for the family that they find peace as they say good-bye to their love one that is greatly appreciated.

Today I am sharing the sympathy card that I made for the family:
This card is made using the Verve Forever in Our Hearts stamp set.  I love the peace and serenity that this set offers.  Papers are from MME Stella Rose the Hazel Collection.  I've also used some of the fabulous and gorgeous lace from Wild Orchid.  The pearls accenting the image and sentiment are the fabulous self adhesive pearls.....gotta love being able to match your colors of pearls exactly to your card color scheme....make sure you check out the amazing color selection that Wild Orchid carries in both self adhesive pearls and rhinestones.
Image has been cut out using a Circle Nestie and then airbrushed using Copics.  I've accented the tree using my Viva Decor Hologram Glitter Liner.
Flowers are from Wild Orchid and the arrangement consists of:  a Hellebores, Calla Lily Stems, Gypsophila, 15mm Rose, 10mm Rose, 4mm Closed Rosebuds.
And here is the finished inside...using some more of the fabulous MME Stella Rose the Hazel Collection papers and another sentiment from the stamp set.

May you rest in peace Jennifer!
This is a picture that one of her classmates put together.  She will definitely be missed!

Happy Monday!  I hope you all had a fantastic weekend....I had the weekend off as it was my best friend's bridal shower on Saturday....and I am standing up in her I got to spend the day with her!  The shower was so fun!!!

Today is another fabulous Wild Orchid Crafts Challenge!!!  Our challenge for you this week is to create a project with WINGS!!!  We have put together some additional rules for entrants:

1.  At least one WOC product must be used
2.  An entry can only be combined with 2 other challenges.

Unfortunately those not following the rules will be disqualified from winning the prize.  Now with the technicalities out of the way...let's get onto some crafty fun....
This is a refrigerator magnet that I made for my friend (the one who just had the bridal shower.) Her and her fiance love John Deere Tractors so their kitchen's color scheme is green and yellow I thought this would be a fun girlie touch to add to her kitchen!!!  The butterfly is a wooden piece that I picked up on a shopping trip.  I got out my Viva Decor Golden Green Precious Metals paint and covered the butterfly.  I absolutely love how easy this paint is to use and in one coat your project is covered and full of shimmering beauty!  I wish my camera could capture how gorgeous this paint really is!!!!
Flowers are from the fabulous WOC and consist of a 25mm Rose, 15mm Roses, Gypsophila, 5mm Closed Rosebuds, Pearl Sprays, and Crystal Stems.  Then I took some yellow self adhesive rhinestones and accented the butterfly.  The flowers were glitterized with Diamond Stickles.  I think the magnet turned out so cute!

Now don't forget to go and check out what the other girls have made over at the WOC Challenge Blog!
