WOC #16 - Love

Happy Monday Friends!  For all of you at CHA..I am so jealous...oh how I would love to be there! But instead I am here in snowy Wisconsin...headed to school this morning to my Auditing class to take my quiz on the 10 Audit Standards....then it's off to work in the afternoon!

WOW how times goes by soooo fast....I can't believe it's already time for another Wild Orchid Crafts Challenge! Thanks to everyone who played along with our last challenge...it was so fun seeing all of your lovely creations!   The challenge this week is to create a LOVE THEMED creation!  I do love playing with all of my flowers and this challenge topic was a lot of fun!!!
I decided to make a love themed card....but instead of using the traditional pink and red for a love card I went with some non-traditional colors and love how this cutie turned out!  Papers are from MME and Bo Bunny.  Guipure Lace is from Wild Orchid and I used my Copics to airbrush the lace to give it a soft brown and purple hue to match my card.
Fairydust Tilda was colored with Copics and then accented with a white gel pen.  She was cut out with an oval SB and then popped up onto a SB Beaded Oval.  The beaded oval was then accented with Self Adhesive Rhinestones from the fantastic Wild Orchid!  You need to check out all of the amazing colors that Wild Orchid has in stock!!!
The heart is another Maggie stamp from the Raising the Ceiling collection that has been colored with Copics and then I took one of my Verve Sentiments and stamped the saying inside.  Finished the ribbon hole with a brown rhinestone for some bling!  You know you can NEVER have too much bling on a card! LOL!  The heart has been finished off with some WOC flowers that contain a hip rosebud (that I airbrushed to match my color scheme) and two 5mm closed rosebuds.
Flowers are all from WOC!  Arrangement one consists of a small flat gardenia that has been layered on top of a flat hydrangea bloom 20mm roses, and 5mm closed rosebuds.
Arrangement 2 consists of a curly wild rose, small flat hydrangea blooms accented with brown rhinestones, 15mm roses, and 5mm closed rosebuds.
Finally the upper left hand corner was decorated with some teeny tiny butterflies and a dragon-fly that was made with my Doo-hicky die!  I hope you've enjoyed my "non-traditional" love themed card!  I got some more crafty fun coming up for you this week so make sure you stop back....*wink wink* there might also be some candy to be given away too!!!!

Challenge I would like to enter:

WOC #15 - Sentimental

Happy Monday friends!  I hope you all have a wonderful week!  This week is my last week of working full-time at my internship before I go down to part-time as classes begin next Monday...but it's my LAST semester so I am soooo excited!

Today is Wild Orchid Challenge day and we have a fabulous challenge for you this week!  We want to see your sentiments on your cards...I was going to create a card with just a sentiment but my SCACD Winter Emma stamp begged to be colored so this is what I came up with!  I was so inspired by Kylie on this card!
I had so much fun making this round card!  Papers are from Bo Bunny Crazy Love collection (which happens to be 15% off over at SCACD right now...hurry and get yours before it's all gone...this pad is absolutely gorgeous!!!)  Guipure Lace is from the fabulous Wild Orchid along with the rhinestones gems that are along the bottom half of the card!  Love being able to add lots of sparkle with these NEW rhinestones!
Winter Emma was colored with Copics and accented with a white gel pen.  Then I took my star dust stickles and accented her scarf, ear muffs and the bottom edge of her sweater!
Flowers are Wild Orchid and the arrangement consists of a classic sweet rose, 25mm tea roses, 15mm roses, and 8mm semi open rosebuds.
Sentiment is from Verve Thankful Hearts and again you can see those beautiful rhinestones which I also used to dot my "i!"  The beautiful heart baubble was made using some of these beautiful Bo Bunny papers and my Epiphany Crafts Solid Heart tool!  Seriously is you haven't gotten any of these fun tools yet you really need too.  These make creating one of a kind and matching embellies so fun and are SUPER easy to use!

Now head over to the Wild Orchid Challenge blog to see the fabulous card that the other girls have made!

Edited to Add**I will be back later to add the recipe to this card**

WOC #14 - Bev's Sketch

Hi Everyone~

Hope you are all doing wonderfully!  I'm sure you are all wondering where in the heck I have been...well I stated my internship right after Christmas and it is going amazing!  I am truly LOVING my job!!!  It sure does make a difference when you love what you are doing every day...I actually want to get up and go to work....LOVE that feeling....sure makes the schooling all worth it now!  However that's not the reason that I have been gone....the reason is that I was having some computer problems so I took my laptop into the shop....the fan kept running on it very loud and I was worried something was going to happen.  The repair shop couldn't find anything wrong with it so I got it back last weekend.  Used it on friday and saturday and then on sunday morning I got up and wanted to do some blog surfing while drinking on chai.  My computer would NOT turn on!  The power light lit up and then immediately went off!  I tried ALL DAY to get the computer to turn on and it wouldn't.  So Monday back to the shop it went.  They pulled the whole computer apart and on Wednesday I got the call that the computer was JUNK!  The computer over heated and melted the brian of the computer!  So Friday hubby took me computer shopping....and he let me get a MacBook!!!  I am soooo excited!

I've always said I would never switch to a Mac, but after my Mom got her Mac a few months ago it looks so easy and way friendly to use!  So tonight I got to go and pick it up from the store (we had them set it up for us!)  I am sooooo happy to be back in blogland again!

So without further ado, I would love to share my Wild Orchid Crafts Challenge card from last week with you!  I had the card done in time but the computer decided to NOT turn on the day I needed to upload it...then my Mom's computer went on the fritz too...so now I can finally share my creation with you!
My Mom absolutely LOVES Magnolia stamps so for Christmas this is the card that I made for her and my Dad!  I used the Bo Bunny Winter Joy collection...I so love these papers!
Tilda of course was colored with Copics and accented with a White Gel Pen.  I used my Illuminate Smooch on the lace and sash on her apron!
Of course my flowers are from the fabulous Wild Orchid Crafts!  My arrangement consists of a 40mm Tea Rose, 20mm roses, 15mm roses, 10mm roses, 4mm closed rosebuds, and silver padded snowflakes.
The tage was made using my Magnolia Doo-Hickey die along with the Verve Glad Tiding set.  The snowflakes were stamped with Versamark and then embossed with white ep!  Flowers are 20mm roses, 15mm roses, 4mm closed rosebuds, sliver padded snowflakes and then flowers were dressed up using 3mm self adhesive pearls.

I hope you have enjoyed my crafty creation!  I hope to have another real soon to share with you!!! I'm out of town this week at training for my job....I'll have to pack some crafty fun in my bag to color and create at night in my hotel room!!! :)

Don't Forget to check out the SCACD Facebook Fan Page for some fun on Monday!!!!
Make sure you head over to the SCACD Store as Susana has gotten A LOT of new goodies for the New Year!!!
