WOC DT Call

Hi Friends~ I hope you are all enjoying your memorial day weekend and to my friends overseas who are celebrating Mother's Day I hope you are enjoying it!  I am enjoying my weekend immensely!  Yesterday I got to help my friend finish up some shopping for her wedding! She is getting married next Saturday, and I am so honored to be a bridesmaid for her!  Today I spent the day bumming around with my hubby...we went to a flea market (he bought me some wood roses...I'll share some pictures with you in the next few days) and then we went and put some flowers on his grandparents grave.  It was a nice day of bonding.  Tomorrow I am hoping to get some much needed crafty time in....and maybe start studying for my CPA Exam!  I received notice that my application was processed and I can now schedule 2 parts of my exam...EEEKKKK....exam time will be here before I know it!  LOL!

Now onto the fun crafty news I have to share with you all:

Wild Orchid Crafts is looking to recruit three talented DT members to join our existing team!  If you are interested and would like to be considered please head to the Wild Orchid Crafts Blog to find out all of the details to enter!  The call will close at 8pm GMT on June 12th!

Good Luck to you all!

WOC #24 - Embossing with Layers

Hi Everyone~ I hope you all had a fabulous weekend!  Mine started off a little rough with a killer migraine on Friday.  Thank goodness I had the day off of work so that I could sleep and rest all afternoon because my Graduation Party was this Saturday.  I was feeling all better for the party so that was a bonus!  I had so much fun with my family and friends!  I've attached a slideshow on the bottom of this post to share a little of my graduation and graduation party with you all!  Today I am officially full-time employed....my official start date at work is today...I'm so looking forward to my future accounting career!

Today I have a NEW Wild Orchid Crafts Challenge post to share with you!  This challenge is Embossing with lots of layers!  Make sure you include heat or dry embossing on your project along with lots and lots of layers!  I've used dry embossing and 8 total layers!  I love layering so this challenge is right up my alley!  This week at WOC Challenge we have TWO prizes that are being given away!  Along with being able to win some fabulous WOC products, you also have the chance of winning one of the Little Darling stamps by Angie Hunt's new line.  The WOC DT was fortunate enough to use one of these amazing stamps for this week's challenge!
My card  features this cute little guy named So Big....isn't he adorable?!  What a cutie pie!  Papers are from the Echo Park Walk in the Park Collection.  Corners were accented with Self Adhesive Rhinestones! My middle kraft strip was dry embossed with my Swiss Dots embossing folder, as well as the butterflies.
So Big was colored using Copics.  I then took my black pastel pencil and shaded the image.  I really love the depth that I could get with the pencil!
Flowers of course are from the fabulous Wild Orchid Crafts and arrangement consists of a 40mm Tea Rose, 20mm Roses, 15mm Roses, Sweetheart Blossoms (that were airbrushed), 10mm Rose, 8mm Semi-Opened Rosebuds, 4mm Rosebuds, and Pearl Stars.

I can't wait to see what you make for this week's challenge!!!  I hope you enjoy my slideshow below!

WOC #23 - For Mom!

Happy Monday.....today is my FIRST day of Final Exams at school!  I only have one exam today....then two more on Thursday and I will be ALL DONE WITH COLLEGE!  I graduate with my Bachelor's Degree in Accounting on Saturday!  I am soooo pumped!  I can't believe that the day has finally!  I'm looking so forward to working full-time!!!

Today is another Wild Orchid Crafts Challenge!  For this challenge Bev has created a gorgeous sketch for us to use!  We want to see a card made for mom with the sketch!
This card features Spa Time Fairy by Victoria Case for SCACD!  Isn't she a cutie?!  I felt she made the perfect Mother's Day card as she's relaxing in her in tea cup spa!  Papers are from the Echo Park Springtime Collection.  I absolutely LOVE this paper pad, and LOVE that Echo Park comes in 6x6 now!!!  Bow was made using Vintage Seam Binding Ribbon from Wild Orchid Crafts, using my Bow Easy. The beautiful ribbon is accompanied by some beautiful cotton lace also from WOC!
Spa Time Fairy was colored using Copics and accented with a white gel pen.  I then took one of my black pastel pencils and shaded the image.  I love the depth that I can get with the pencil!  What do you all think? Do you like this look better than when I use the Copic greys?  She's been cut out using a SB Circle Nestie and popped up onto a Floral Doily Motiff.  Edging of image was airbrushed with my Copic ABS.
Flowers of course are from the fabulous Wild Orchid Crafts!  Arrangement consists of a Small Flat Gardenia, 25mm Roses, 15mm Roses, 8mm Semi-Opened Rosebuds, 4mm Rosebuds, two types of  Gypsophilas, and white stamens.  Flowers have been glitterized with Star Dust Stickles.
The Happy Mother's Day banner was made using Maya Road Banner Canvas....oh my goodness are these darling, and you get 10 banners in a package!  I took some sparkly embroidery floss to string my banner up.
From this view you can see all the glittery fun that was added to this cutie pie fairy.  Illuminate Smooch was added to Fairy's wings and DecoArt Glamour Dust Crystal Glitter Paint was used on the saucer.  Oh my goodness this was the first time that I used this paint and I have to tell you that I am TOTALLY in love with it!  Love all the amazing sparkles that it gives!!!!  Diamond Glaze was used on the water and bubbles for the real-ness effect.

I hope you've enjoyed this cutie as much as I have!  Now head over to the Wild Orchid Challenge Blog to see what the other fabulous girls have made!!!  Don't forget to scroll down to the next post to see if you were the winner of my Classic Colour WOC candy!!!
