WOC #51 - BINGO

Happy Monday Friends - For all my U.S. Friends I hope that you are having a fabulous Memorial Day weekend!!  My weekend has been all about studying....I start my next take at the CPA Exams tomorrow with the tax exam....here's to hoping the 2nd time around is a charm!

Today is a fun Wild Orchid Crafts Challenge day and this challenge we have are playing BINGO!!!
For my creation I have put together a fun little gift set!  This card features the fabulous By the Beach Peeker by Elisabeth Bell for SCACD from the Peekers 3 Collection!  I love this cutie peeking into her beach pail to see what treasures she has found at the beach!
Here is the BINGO card for our challenge.....we can't wait to see what you all create with our challenge!  For my card I have used the the middle row of Blue - Flowers - Glitter!
My card features the MME Stella Rose Hattie Paper Collection.  The gathered lace behind the brown polka pot paper is from WOC.
By the Beach Peeker has been colored with Copics and pastel pencils.  The ruffles on her skirt, trim on her shirt, and the starfish all got a coat of Diamond Stickles.  The sand was first colored with Copics, then I used my Luminate Solar Gold Silks and painted over the top to give the sand a beautiful shimmer, and finally I topped it off with a mixture of Sand, Toffee, and Earth ultra fine flowersoft.  I wish you could see this IRL as it is gorgeous with the shimmer that appears through the flowersoft from the Luminarte Silks!
From this view you can see the shimmer from the Silks peeking through the flowersoft sand!  You can also see the shine of the pail that I made by coating the pail with Diamond Glaze.  Doesn't it look like a real life beach pail?  I love it!
WOC flower arrangement was made using a 40mm Trellis Rose, Chrysanthemum, 25mm Tea Rose, 15mm Roses, Sweetheart Blossoms, 4mm Rosebuds, Gold Glitter Holly Berries, and then finished it off with a small sequin butterfly.  All flowers were coated with Diamond Stickles.  I love using Diamond Stickles when I use yellow as one of my main colors because the Diamond Stickles then gives a "golden glitter" color next to yellow.
The bottom of the easel card features a Whimsy Sentiment and a Gold Decorative Metal Corner finishes off the bottom nicely.  Then I placed a butterfly tea light with a candle holder on the card to complete my gift set.
Here is one more angle view for you all.  I hope you have enjoyed my creation!  I can't wait to see what you create for the BINGO Challenge!  Head over to the WOC Challenge Blog to see what my fabulous DT Members have created!!!

Mother's Day - Take 2

Happy Saturday!  I hope you are all having a fabulous start to your weekend!  Mine started out great....yesterday was my Anniversary.....Hubby and I have been married for 5 years; we spend the afternoon together and then went out for dinner last night....it was a very nice day!

Today I have the Mother's Day card that I made for my Mom to share with you!
My Mom LOVES Magnolia stamps so I knew I had to use a cute Tilda for her Mother's Day card!  When I saw Tilda with Cozy Heart I knew that this was the cutie that I had to use for my Mom's card!  For papers I have used the MME Lost & Found Breeze Collection (which is 20% off right now at SCACD).
Tilda was colored with Copics and pastel pencils.  Her heart and hair ties got a coat of Star Dust Stickles (look at all of the glitz and sparkle...I love it!)  She was cut out using a SB Circle and popped up onto a SB Scalloped Circle.  While she was still in the Circle die I airbrushed lightly around the edges to give that clean white frame.  The beautiful butterflies coming to join Tilda are Small Sequin Butterflies that are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Copic Colors Used: Skin: E000, E00, E11, R11, R20, Hair: E25, E53, E57, E59, Dress/Socks/Hair Ties: BG11, BG57, BG75, Shoes: E34, E37, E53, Heart: R22, R24, R29.
WOC Flower arrangement consists of a Chrysanthemum, 25mm Roses, 15mm Roses, 8mm Semi-opened Rosebud, Heart Pin, and a Decorative Crown Pin.
The upper right hand corner tag was made using my Doo-Hickey Dies.  Sentiment is from the Verve Joyful Blooms Collection. I hope you have enjoyed seeing this card!  Thank you so very much for stopping and looking and leaving your comments....they truly make my day!

WOC #50 - Anything Goes

Happy Monday Friends!  I hope you are all doing great!  Today is another fabulous Wild Orchid Crafts Challenge Day!  This challenge is an easy one...ANYTHING GOES!  I hope Blogger decides to be our friend for this challenge....for our last challenge if you were unable to enter we are truly sorry....Blogger was being very sassy and deleting our post! Ugh...I hope Blogger gets the bugs worked out soon!
For our Anything Goes challenge I decided to make a post it note holder....this one is for my desk at work....could you tell it was for me because of all of the pink?!
For the top of my post it note holder I have used the gorgeous Nevaeh from Saturated Canary....I think she is so darn adorable!  Papers are from the MME Lost & Found Madison Ave Collection (which happens to be 15% off right now at SCACD)!  Punched edging was decorated with pink self adhesive rhinestones, and sentiment is from the Verve Fairy Tales Collection.
Nevaeh was colored with Copics and pastels.  All the sparkle you see on her dress and shoes was glitzed with Star Dust Stickles.  Her eyes were given a coat of Diamond Glaze for the shine factor!  Image was cut out using the SB Labels Die and then airbrushed.

Copic Colors Used: Hair: E23, E25, E53, E57, E59, Skin: E000, E00, E11, R20, Eyes: B0000, B000, B03, B04, Dress: Top - E51, E53, E57, R00, R21; Sash & Lace - R21, R22, R43; Bottom - E34, E50, E51, E53, R22, Stockings: R21, R22, R43, R00, Shoes: R21, R22, R43, E34, E51, E53.
Wild Orchid Craft Flower arrangement #1 was made using:  a Chrysanthemum, 25mm Tea Rose, 15mm Rose, and a Hip Rosebud.  Tea Rose was sparklized with Frosted Lace Stickles.
WOC Flower arrangement #2 consists of: a 40mm Trellis Rose, 35mm Trellis Rose25mm Tea RoseLilies, Sweetheart Blossoms, 10mm Rose, Gypsophila, and a Hip Rosebud.  Again flowers were sparalized with Frosted Lace Stickles.
Here is the post it note holder portion of my creation.  These WOC mini flower arrangements consist of: 10mm Rose, 8mm Semi Opened Rosebud, and a Hip Rosebud.   Swirls are from my Magnolia Die.

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to all my family and friends!  Today I want to share the card that I made for my Mother-in-law for Mother's Day....I can't share the card that I made for my Mom yet because she's on my blog and will see it before I can give it to her tonight :)
I've used one of the gorgeous Guardian Angels from the SCACD collection....isn't she a beauty!!!  This is Sentimental Angel...I love her to pieces!!!  Papers are from the gorgeous MME Indie Chic Saffron Collection.  Sentiment comes from the Verve Joyful Blooms Collection.
Little Miss Sentimental Angel was colored with Copics and pastels.  Her wings got a coat of Diamond Stickles.  Her headband, hair tie, and flower on her jeans were coated with Illuminate Smooch.  Her belt buckle was dazzled up with my Gold Spica.  Now for the beautiful heart....this is a Studio Calico wooden heart from the Hearts & Arrows Collection that Susana carries in the store -->here<--.  I took this plain wooden heart and then grabbed my Gum Arabic Powder and my Luminarte Pink Azalea Mica Powder.  I mixed equal parts of the Gum Arabic Powder and Mica powder....added some water to it with my paint brush and got this gorgeous "paint" to cover my wooden hearts with.  I absolutely LOVE the shimmer and sparkle in these Mica powders...they are AMAZING!  Remember: if you want the sparkle of the Mica to stick you need to add the Gum Arabic powder with it :)  However you can get a gorgeous watercolor with just the Mica and water.

Copic Colors Used: Skin: E000, E00, E11, R20, R11; Hair: E25, E34, E53, E57, E59; Jeans: B91, B93, B95, B97, B99; Hair Tie/Headband/Shirt/Belt: YR01, YR12, YR14; Wings: YR0000, YR000, YR01, YR12; Pillow: R81, R83, R85, RV55, RV63, RV66.
Wild Orchid Crafts arrangement consists of a beautiful Large Wild Rosebud, 30mm Wild Rose, 15mm Rose, Aster Daisy, Sweetheart Blossoms, 8mm Semi Opened Rosebuds, 4mm Rosebuds, and another Studio Calico Heart that was painted like the one above.  Flowers got a coat of Star Dust Stickles for glitz.
WOC arrangement #2 consists of a 15mm RoseSweetheart Blossoms, and 4mm Rosebuds. These flowers too got a coat of Star Dust Stickles.
One more view so you can see all of the sparkle, shimmer, and glitz in my card!  I hope you have enjoyed seeing my Mother's Day card!  I hope you all enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Pinterest Project #1

Happy Sunday...I hope you all are having a fabulous weekend!  Today I have a different type of project that I am so excited to share with you all!!!

How many of you are addicted to Pinterest?  My sister and I are very addicted and LOVE Pinterest....we have MANY projects in the waiting to complete and every day the list keeps getting longer and longer of things we want to make!

Yesterday we competed our very first Pinterest project!  In April my sister had the opportunity to head over seas and visit Germany, Italy and France.  Her boyfriend is in the U.S. Army and is stationed in Germany at the moment.  On her trip she took some AMAZING photos and found a project on Pinterest to take your photos and adhere them to canvas to hang on the wall as a collage.  She went and bought the canvases in three different sizes and then picked out which photos she wanted to blow up to those sizes.  I had some black metallic acrylic paint so she painted the edges of each canvas; and yesterday we used spray adhesive to attach the photos.
Here is the finished collage!  What do you think?  Of course these aren't on the wall yet; as my sister's boyfriend is coming back to the states in August so she will be moving, but we wanted to get the canvases complete now since she had the photos  :)  Aren't her photos gorgeous?   I can't wait to see this on the wall of her new home!!!
And one side view so that you can see the beautiful canvas edges!  We absolutely LOVE how this turned out!  Now we can say we actually completed a Pinterest Project! :)  I can't wait until my house is build so that I can make a photo collage with some photos of mine!  I hope we have inspired you to make a project that you have found on Pinterest! :)
