It's the end of the month and you know what that means....it's time for another InStyle Stamps Blog Hop!!! Woo-Hoo!!!!

***Don't forgot today is also the Embellish-It Blog Hop.....scroll down to see that post below!***

Watch out for the Ghosts, Goblins,
Witches, and Monsters...
Because today we are
Gettin' Spooky!!!

Welcome to the InStyle Stamps September Blog Hop!

Our theme this month: "Treats"

With fall almost here that means Halloween is right around the corner! Time to get out your costumes, dust off the decorations, and start making some candy apples! Today we have LOTS of newbies for Halloween over at the Instyle Stamps store and you NEED to check out these cuties! I'm in love with so many of them! Especially the two that I have used today!

Like usual, you get to decide which DT member inspires you the most! After you go and view all of the other DT's projects (their links are in my side bar), make sure you head on over to the InStyle Stamps Blog to vote for your favorite project (I hope that my treats have inspired you and would love to have your vote :) The DT member who gets the most votes will win a prize....AND YOU CAN WIN A PRIZE JUST FOR VOTING!!! All you have to do is place your vote; then leave a comment on the post with the poll answering this question to be entered for a PRIZE:

What is your favorite fall treat?
You need to leave a comment to be entered into the drawing. The contest will remain open until 11:59pm EST on Saturday, September 26th, and winners will be announced on Sunday, September 28th!

Now....onto my project:

Meet Patches and Honey Bunny! Aren't these two just the cutest Halloween images you have ever seen! I fell in love with them totally at first sight! They are two newbies being released TODAY!
As soon as I saw Patches, I knew that I wanted to create a pumpkin shaped card for him! I hand drew the pumpkin and cut it out! Used my Basic Grey Halloween paper for both projects!

A close up of Patches who was colored with Copics (of course)!
Then I made a coffin shaped treat holder. I found the template last year and had it tucked away for this Halloween....however the page I printed didn't have the blog address on it so I don't remember where I found this fun project. Honey Bunny was colored with Copics and Twinkling H2O's....she shimmers so beautifully!
Here's a close up of a spider stamp that I had in my stash. I found black sparkle fluff which I put on the spider legs which makes him look cute and fuzzy!
Another view of the coffin box so you can see the dimension.
And what's a treat holder without treats!!!
Now....Don't forget to go vote for your favorite DT member's project over at the InStyle Blog!

Now.....onto my project!

I just LOVE the American Crafts Halloween collection! Aren't these papers delish!!! I wanted to make a cute card for my hubby so when I saw the Can I Tell You A Secret Sarah Kay stamp I knew this would be a perfect image for my card!!!!

Here's a close up of my card! Of course I used my Copics to color my image! And don't you just love those Thickers?! Gotta love all that bling!!! I punched the pumpkins with my new Fiskars punch and then used a combo of stamps and my handwriting to finish the saying!

A close up of the sweet couple:
AND....
NOW FOR THE TRICKS....

How many of you have ordered Lia Sophia jewelry? I love this jewelry and have so many of these empty boxes laying around my house! I thought this size box was PERFECT for altering into a candy holder for Halloween!
And here is the altered box.....with my 2ND TRICK!!!! If you look at the scalloped oval you can see that it is shimmery with a rainbow color effect! Well this is a VERY EASY and CHEAP look to obtain!

All you need is:
A small bowl of warm water
Your piece of cardstock
And clear fingernail polish

Place a couple drops of the clear fingernail polish into your warm water. Then slide your cardstock into the bowl from the side, sliding it underneath the fingernail polish. Let your cardstock float to the top of the bowl and carefully remove with the fingernail polish on top of the cardstock. Set the cardstock on a piece of paper towel to air dry....will take overnight for it to dry (don't heat set or you lose the colorful finish)! Then you have a beautifully one of a kind, hand created background paper!
The side view of my altered candy box!
And a few more views:

A Flower Pick'n Sneak Peek!

Hi Everyone~

Hope you are having a fantastic week! I have exams coming up in the next two weeks so things are going to be a bit crazy here...but I am really enjoying my classes this semester and I have some wonderful professors! YAY! In between my homework and studying I am still managing to fit in a little bit of crafty time!

Here is a sneak peek of a newbie that is at Club Anime! This cutie pie is Marissa! When I saw her I knew I had to try out making a fence card for her! I wish I could remember where I first saw this fence card...if I find the link I will definitely edit to let you know! :) I hate it when I lose things that I had saved...plus I am a firm believer that credit is due to the original creator!!!

The fence was created with my MS zig zag border punch, cuttlebug distressed stripes embossing folder, momento london fog ink pad, and stazon white ink pad. I absolutely LOVE how this turned out and have another fun project up my sleeve using this same technique !

Marissa was of course colored with my Copics on my new Neenah paper! Gosh I can't get over how much of a difference paper can make when coloring with Copics! I am so glad that I went to certification class because now I love my Copics even MORE with the right paper....and I seriously didn't think I would love my markers more! *Blush*

Here's a close up of Miss. Marissa:

And then here is the finished inside...pretty simple but elegant in my eyes!
Last but not least I have some fun to share with you! Our friend shared with us that you can get your broom to stand up by itself due to the way the planets are lined up, something with the fall equinox or something like that! This has been standing up since Sunday night and still hasn't fell down yet! Crazy! YES!!!! But it seriously is true...no strings attached, nothing holding it up!

Recipe:

Stamps: Marissa from Club Anime by InStyle Stamps; SU Itty Bitty Words
Inks:
Copics Spicas, Copics, Momento London Fog, Stazon On Cotton White, Smooch in Sugarberry (used around small sentiment tag and in middle of retro flowers)

Papers: SU cardstock, and bits and pieces from my stash of scraps

Tools: MS Zig Zag border punch, MS leaf punch, MS butterfly punches, EK Success Small Retro Flower punch, Spellbinders Blossom Nesties, MS tag punch, Cuttlebug Distressed Stripes embossing folder

Thanks for stopping by!

Make sure you stop back on Friday as there is the ISS Blog Hop and the Embellish Blog Hop going on! You don't want to miss these *tricks & treats*

WOJ Guest DT Call

Well if I am not cutting it close, I never get it done! That's usually the story of my life...lol! So the WOJ Guest DT Call is wrapping up, and I almost forgot to upload a card that I made. By now I think you all know that I LOVE my WOJ stamps!!!!

My good friend since grade school is getting married in a couple months and last weekend was her bridal shower. I am sharing my card that I made for her. Red is going to be the main color of her wedding so I wanted to bring that through on my card using it as my accent color.

I love Willow sitting bride with her rose swing! These two stamps go so beautifully together! I've colored with my Copics (of course ;) and added Twinkling H2O's in Heavenly White and Vanilla Bean to accent her dress and give Willow a gorgeous shimmer! Of course I also had to use flower soft for her bouquet in her hair! I cut out Willow and popped her up on foam tape to add dimension. DP is DCWV, and because the paper is so beautiful and the flowers in the upper left are flocked I didn't want to cover them up.

Here's a close up of Willow:
I added Siren Smooch to the centers of the flowers of Willow bouquet and around the MS tag punch.
And the finished inside of the card!
And here's a shot to show you the shimmer of Willow's dress!
Recipe:
Stamps: Willow sitting bride and Rose swing by Whiff of Joy; For You by Studio G; SU itty bitty words
Inks:
Momento Tuxedo Black, Copics, Siren Smooch, Twinkling H2Os
Papers: DCWV La Creme Collection, Neenah Smooth Classic Crest, Metallic Black and Red Pearl Paper from my Stash.
Tools: Scor-Pal (to fold my cards), Tonic Cutter, MS heart border punch; MS tag punch, Spellbinders Labels 7,
Embellishments:
ribbon from my stash

Thanks for stopping by to take a peek!

Crossing my fingers my card is good enough to be selected by Katharina!
It'd be a dream to design for her!!!

Happy Birthday Cuttlebug Challenges!

Cuttlebug Challenges is celebrating their birthday all month, and you really need to pop on over and check it out! They have some amazing challenges and GREAT prizes you can win! This week DT member Danni, who is also on the Embellish DT with me is the host! And Barb from Embellish has kindly donated this week's prize! You so don't want to miss that!!! You can read about it HERE!

Danni's challenge is to create a card and bag for a birthday! This was perfect as it was my father-in-law's birthday on Monday so I had to make a card for him!

I just love the Cosmo Cricket Early Bird Collection! These papers are so bright and fun! Not colors I normally play with so getting out of my comfort zone can be scary but in the end is always so much fun! I tried to make this card manly (which is difficult for me) but I think I pulled it off pretty good. I stamped the trees with Momento Rich Cocoa and then clear embossed them for some shine! The edges of the labels 4 are decorated with cinnamon stickles. And I finally got time to play with my Spellbinders Ribbon Tags.
The finished inside of the card...with my new Studio G Birthday Stamp! I love the swirls on this one!
Then I made this cute bag to go along! It's a Lauren Meader Timeless Template! I have purchased many of her templates, but haven't gotten time to play with them yet. After playing with this one I can't wait to play with more of them! Lauren you are the bomb girl!!!

I was going to put my father-in-law's restaurant gift certificate in here until I showed my creation to my hubby who said it looked like a purse! Scratch that idea, I guess....so I kept it for somebody else! I did add Baby Breath Shimmerz Spritz to all of the papers here for an added sparkle! I love the look that this spray gives, it's so beautiful!
Recipe:
Stamps: Tree & Birthday Wishes by Studio G, Itty Bitty Words by SU
Inks:

A New Cute Tilda

YAY...I finally got some time to play with a Tilda....and one of my NEW Tildas! This cutie is Dinner Tilda from the A Little Yummy for your Tummy collection! You can preorder this cutie over at 7 Kids College Fund! There are a bunch of yummies for your tummy to preorder!

For this card I used the sketch over at Friday Sketchers and also used the challenge from Just Magnolia of using ribbons and bows! Tilda of course is stamped in Momento Tuxedo Black ink and then colored with my Copics!

I used some new products to me. I used Shimmerz Spritz in Cotton Candy that I sprayed on the bow that Tilda is sitting on and the flowers for some extra shimmer! I also used Smooch for the first time. I used Moonlight Smooch for Tilda's pearl necklace and bracelet, and then I added a pearl earring to match. Then I used the Snickerdoodle Smooch for the accents on Tilda's adorable pants to add some bling to her outfit. 7 Kids College Fund has a huge variety of Smooch colors for you to choose from!

A close up of Miss. Tilda:

The finished inside of the card. The flourish on the bottom right corner is a rub-on.

Sugar Bowl - Challenge 18

Alright...I got as much play time in as I could within the last few days because tomorrow school starts! Ahhhhh...where did summer go? I'm so sad to be starting classes already....but I am finally getting into my Accounting classes so at least this semester will be interesting to me (instead of all the gen. eds.)

I have so many new stamps that are waiting around and wanting to be ink'd up! I thought I would join the girls over at the Sugar Bowl....Gayle does such a lovely job running the group over there! I love to play along with the DT when I have some free time! I grabbed one of my Gorjuss Girls who was crying to get ink'd and gave her some love!

I used my MME Bloom n' Grow papers that have been sitting on my desk (also waiting for play time!!!) I love how beautiful these papers are, and thought I would make a fun, bright, summer card before fall arrives.
My Gorjuss Girl was colored with Copics and Twinkling H2o's were added to her dress and boots to add a little bit of shimmer.

Here is a view where I tried to capture the shimmer from the H20's on her beautiful dress:
A lot of the items that I used can be found at 7 Kids College Fund! Tab has an awesome array of products!!!

Recipe:
Stamps: Gorjuss Girl Poppy Fields by Sugar Nellie
Inks:
Momento Tuxedo Black, Copics, Twinkling H20s
Papers: Neenah Ultrasmooth; My Minds Eye Bloom n' Grow, SU cardstock
Tools: Scor-Pal (to fold my cards), Tonic Cutter, EK Success leaf punch, Sizzix Swirls,
Embellishments:
flowers cut from MME paper, rhinestones, buttons and lace are from my stash

Well I best get going to bed since I have to be up early....and I'm definitely not used to being up at 5:30AM! Wish me luck tomorrow....hopefully the day goes by fast! 8 hours in school is a long day....I swear going to school is definitely harder than working a full-time job!

Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek!
