Walking On Sunshine Blog Hop - Stop 3

Hi Friends~
Welcome to the
Walking on Sunshine Release
by Elisabeth Bell
for SCACD
If you are here from Heather's blog then you are in the right place; if not, please click -->here<-- to go to Aud's blog so that you can start at the beginning of this fantastic blog hop!!!  You really don't want to miss a stop along this hop because the stamps are AMAZING...you definitely will need to go and purchase these!  I love them all!!!  The set can be found -->here<--, and as always Susana is so sweet and offers the whole set at a discount price!
Meet Bubbles from the Stamper's Edition #4 by Elisabeth Bell for SCACD! When I found out this would be the image I was showcasing I couldn't wait to start my project.  I have had this little wooden tote in my "things to alter" bin for quite sometime...but wanted to wait for just the right project to use it...and this definitely was the right time!
My card has been made with MME papers...I actually had different papers picked out when I colored this cutie but after coloring her the papers didn't mesh too well and I had to go and find some betters ones.  In the top left and bottom right corners I have used my Kiwi Pearl Pen.  I absolutely love the color of this one!!!
And a close up of Bubbles....she has been colored with my Copics, and the background has been airbrushed with my ABS.  I attempted to make a scene for her....I hope you can see the clouds in the background.  The ground got darker than I would have liked...but there's always a next time! lol! My favorite Viva Pen...the Hologram Glitter Liner was used on the bubble bottle label.
Here you can see a close up of the pin arrangement that I put together.  The pin is a Maya Road Heart Pin....Susana has some awesome pins over at her store and holy cow are they reasonable...click --->here<-- to go and see them all!  The bow of course was made with my Bow Easy....if it weren't for this tool my cards wouldn't have bows.....and that's no joke!
My flower collage was  made with Prima flowers......Mini Roses and Hydrangeas.  Then of course I had to add Viva Decor Hologram Glitter Liner to them for lots of sparkle.
From this view you can see the shine of the bubbles....don't they seem real?!?  I used my Viva Transparent Gloss Pen over top of the already colored bubbles. I love how these pens really do make everything 3D!
Here is the wooden gift tote with two 4 oz. jars of bubbles!  The tote has been painted with pink acrylic paint and then edged in white Distress Crackle Paint.  I then added Rock Candy Distress Crackle paint all over the rest of the tote to give it that shabby chic look!  Flowers on the tote are Zva Creative also glitzed with Viva Decor Glitter Liner!
My final picture is a close up of the Crackle Paint.  I love the texture!!!  Don't you think it looks shabby chic?

I hope you've enjoyed your stop at my blog!  Have fun with the rest of the hop....Your NEXT STOP along the Hop is the ultra-talented Ms. Suzanne Dean!

WOJ #77 - Money Holder Challenge

Hi Friends~

It's Wednesday and boy oh boy do we have a fun challenge for you this week at the WOJ Challenge Blog!  Thanks for all of the fun players we had this past week with Bev's sketch...you all did an amazing job!  This week it's all about $Money$ Holders!  Now if you are like me you always need a good money holder/gift card holder!  Let's try and get even more players this week than last! :)
I've made a Perkabook (which you can find the tutorial -->here<--) I love how this looks like a purse and once opened can be a card and money holder all in one!  Papers are some old SU ones that I had in my stash from last year...I love the bright colors of them.

I've made another paper punch flower...this time I used dp and some coral cardstock.  I love using the two together it really gives the flower character....then of course added lots of Diamond Stickles for lots and lots of bling!
And then this is what the inside looks like in the Perkabook!
Here is the top portion of the inside which is the money holder pocket....I realized after taking the picture that I forgot to put the money in the pocket to show you....my bad!  I've used a variety of Wild Orchid Craft Roses....the big rose is one of the Champagne Pink Curly Wild Roses....I absolutely love them!  In the bottom left hand corner I've used my Viva Decor Pearl Pen again...I told you these are addicting! Lol!  I made a variety of sizes and that's what a so love about these pens!
Here you can see a close up of the pearls and roses!  Of course the Roses were glitzed up with my Viva Decor Hologram Glitter Liner...I still can't believe how sparkly that pen is!  I just love it!!!  Can you tell I am a total girly-girl the way I love sparkle and bling?!
And here is the card portion.  Of course for a money holder I had to use Shopping Willow!  I used my Copic ABS and airbrushed a light coral color around all the edges of the white panel, stamped some swirls in the corner and outlined them with my Glitter Liner.
Here is a close up of Miss. Willow....she looks so fantastic with all of her shopping bags.  She was colored with Copics...really is there any other medium...lol! :)  I paper pieces the shopping bags and added some colored tissue to them.
Here you can see a close up of the swirls with the Glitter Liner.  I really wish you could see this in person because it's amazing how the Glitter Liner keeps it's form and is so 3D!
If you are still with me after this long post, I thank you so very much and hope that you have and fun along the way! :)  The DT has made some amazing creations so make sure you head on over to the WOJ Challenge Blog to see them!

I'm entering this project into A Spoonful of Sugar Challenge which is anything but a card.

TIOT Sketch - Volleyball Style

 Hi Friends~

Today is Tuesday so it's another Try It Out Tuesday over at Susana's store blog and in case you've been living in a cave or were just busy this past weekend and happened to be away from your computer you REALLY need to head over to the store blog because there is some AMAZING blog candy up for grabs!  Susana is being VERY generous with the NEW Walking on Sunshine Release by Elisabeth Bell for SCACD, which happens to be coming up on April 30th!  Make sure you mark your calendar because you don't want to miss this Blog Hop...you're going to LOVE it!!!

Now back to today's TIOT....Suzanne put together a wonderful sketch for us to play with.
On today's card I have used a cutie from the Hearts & Hugs Spring Collection from Victoria Case for SCACD.  This is Jennifer and she comes along with 3 different sporting balls so you can customize her for any sports fanatic in your life!  I've decided to go with a Volleyball theme!
And here is the fantastic sketch that Suzanne has created for us!  I definitely will be using this one again!!!

Now a close up of Jennifer!  She of course was colored with Copics and accented with a white gel pen.  I've use the Spellbinders Mega Ovals Large for the cut out of Jennifer and then popped her up on the Labels 10.  On the ends of the Labels 10 die I've used my Viva Decor White Gloss Pen to make my customized mini pearls.  The gloss pens leave a GREAT shine!
The ticket is from the TH collection.  I airbrushed lightly around the edges with my BG11 Copic to match my teal color.  Then I edged the ticket with my Viva Decor Hologram Glitter Liner.  OMG is this awesome!  It is so sparkly and leaves a nice 3D area!  I really love how the glitter holds it's shape and pops out!  If you love glitter this is a MUST have!!!
Here is one of the sporting balls that comes along with this great stamp!  I stamped 3 volleyballs and colored them with my "W Grey" Copics to give them a little bit of depth, and then popped one volleyball up on a Prima flower.
Finally I have one more picture to show you the shimmer/sparkle/bling of the Viva Decor Hologram Glitter Pen!  Seriously this really sparkles!!!  It also gives off lots of different colors...I love it to bits and will be using it on ALL of my projects!

Don't forget to head on over to the Store Blog to see what the other girls have made....and don't forget to click -->here<-- to sign up for my blog candy, you have until Sunday!

April Showers Bring May Flowers!

Don't forget to enter my blog candy -->here<--.

Whenever we have rain in April it always brings to mind the saying that "April Showers Bring May Flowers!"

This is the birthday card that I made for my Gram and I promised to share with you!  I decided to make her a flower pot card with some fun handmade 3D flowers!  (Maybe you remember -->THIS<-- flower pot card I made for my Mom last year.)  This only difference is the 3D flowers.....this time I used the flower tutorial from Dawn's video...they were so fun and easy to make!  I used my Cuttlebug embossing folder to add some texture to the flower pot, and then used my MS pansy border punch and added some pearls to the middle....now that I have my Viva Decor Pearl Pen I can use that to customize pearls on all of my projects!

Here you can see the inside of the flower pot card.  I've added Susan from Elisabeth Bell Sampler Edition 1 for SCACD.
Here is a close up of Susan.  She of course was colored with Copics and accented with a white gel pen.
Here is a close up of the 3D flowers.  I used two different kinds of dp for them.  Then added LOTS of Star Dust Stickles for tons of sparkle!  The extra filler flowers are Prima Hydrangeas.

And the final view is a side view so you can see all of the dimension.  Here you can also see the stand that I made so this card can be displayed easily.  I hope you've enjoyed this creation!  I'm entering this card into the following challenges:
A Spoonful of Sugar - Happy Birthday
Simon Says Stamp - Things with Wings (all the butterflies)

I also have some FUN NEWS to share with you.....there is a
New release for SCACD coming soon!!!
I hope you are ready to walk on Sunshine!!!

WOJ #76 - Sketch Challenge

Hello Friends~

It's WOJ Wednesday!  Woo-Hoo!  This week Bev has a fantabulous sketch for us!  April showers bring May flowers  so let's see some flowers on your projects too!
My friend recently has a baby girl so I this is the card that I have made for her!  These papers were in my stash and I have no idea what they are because the tag was cut off of them.  Don't you just love this precious Willow holding baby stamp?  I do!   My Viva Decor Lilac Pearl Pen was used to create the pearls in the upper right hand corner of the card.  I dusted off my mini sewing machine this week to add the fun stitch to the panels too.
Of course Willow was colored with Copics along with some lavender Stickles added to the flowers in her hair.  The panel behind her was created with the New Spellbinders Mega Ovals Large and Mega Classic Scalloped Ovals Large.  The pink oval was embossed with a Cuttlebug folder and then was spritzed with Iridescent Gold Glimmer Mist....it's so nice and sparkly IRL.
Here the flower arrangement, made with Roses from Wild Orchid Crafts, and some primas along with some pearl sprays.  The roses have been airbrushed with Copics to match the image and then sparklized (that's my new word for today..lol) with Star Dust Stickles.  You can also see the cute teddy bear ribbon...isn't it adorable and it's even pink....I just love it to pieces!  I've been waiting for a day to use it on a card!
The purple bow was created with my Bow Easy...seriously if you don't have this tool you need to get it!  Susana has them in stock over at SCACD!  I've never been able to make a bow but now I can make them all of the time with this fun tool and it's so easy to do!  The pacifier charm was a find at JoAnns the other day, it  came in a pack of  all different colored pacifiers.

Now I can't wait to see what you make with Bev's wonderful sketch!  Head over to the WOJ Challenge Blog to see the DT's wonderful creations and the Charlotte with Birdcage stamp that you can win for playing along with us!!!

TIOT - Frame It

Hi Everyone~

It's Tuesday....so let's TRY IT OUT!  This week Suzanne has challenged us to FRAME IT....the twist is that you can use anything BUT paper!  As soon as I saw this was our challenge I knew I wanted to try the ribbon/knot frame....and I am pleased at how this turned out but most importantly at how easy this is!  I found a tutorial/tips -->here<--.
This week I have used the Victoria Case Little Carolyn for SCACD!  I wanted to create a scene to make it look like Little Carolyn was swinging on her swing that was tied to a tree branch.  Papers are from the BG Green at Heart Collection....Oooo I just love the colors in this collection!!!!
Here you can see Little Carolyn on her swing.  She has been colored with Copics.  I've used Diamond Glaze on her eyes to make them shine and look real.  The background has been airbrushed with my ABS and Copic B0000 to give it a "sky look."  In this view you can also see the ribbon frame around this cutie pie!
The white pearls are made with my Glossy Opaque White Viva Decor Pen!  These pens seriously are the most amazing product!  I am in love with being able to make my own pearls any size, AND any color that I want them!!!  These glossy pens are VERY cool with the gorgeous shine they give!  Marti has made an amazing video regarding these awesome gloss pens, you can find it -->here<--.
Then there is the flower arrangement that has been sparkled with Star Dust Stickles. (I can't wait to get my Viva Decor Hologram Glitter Liner pen because I think this glitter will look amazing on flowers and everything else...my pen is postal-bound as you read this.....Susana recently got these BACK IN STOCK...so HURRY and order yours today!)  I've also added some pearl sprays into the arrangement.  From this view you can also see the texture to Little Carolyn's hair.  I've added the texture with my Copics but I have also used my Sand Spica to add a little more texture and sparkle!
And in my final view you can see more teeny-tiny pearls that have been added to the tiny butterflies using my Viva Decor Ice White Pearl Pen.  From this view I am also hoping that you can see the metallic shimmer on Little Carolyn's dress.  I have colored the flowers on her dress with Snickerdoodle Smooch, which was enough to give her some extra accent.

I hope you've enjoy this fun card!  Make sure you bop on over to the SCACD Blog to see the amazing creations that the other wonderful DT Girls have made!
