 Welcome to the
Summer Time Fun Release
by Victoria Case
for SCACD

First off, I'm so excited to be the first stop on the hop!  This new set by Victoria Case exclusively for SCACD ROCKS!  You are going to be amazed at all the beauty in this summer time fun set!  Secondly, thank you to everyone for the get well wishes, I greatly appreciate each and every one of them!  Yesterday is the first day that I have actually felt a little bit better!  YAY maybe I am almost 100%!!!  Now...back to the hop!
Since our theme this month is SUMMER TIME I thought it would be fun to have a cute girly gift set!  My card features the new Lazy Days stamp!  Isn't she adorable?!  I love her to bits!  She would be perfect for any occasion.....birthday, hello, invitation, and friendship cards!  The keepsake box is a flip flop...how cute is that to go along with such a great summer time stamp?!
I wanted to use some fun bright summer colors so I dug out my Basic Grey Lemonade collection....love the pinks in this pack!  Flower are all primas!  The sketch I have used is from Sketch Saturday, such a fun layout!
Miss. Lazy Days has been colored with Copics and accented with a white gel pen!  I have added Illuminate Smooch to the flowers on her hat and the flowers on her shoes for some added sparkle.  Diamond Glaze has been used over her eyes to give them that beautiful shine.
I've used a MS border punch and to dress up the border I've used my Cream Viva Decor Pearl Pen to make some itty bitty pearls for some added pizzazz!  In this picture you can see that I have also colored this cutie's toenails to look like they are painted to match her outfit! :)  A girl's gotta have pretty toes with flip flops!
This bow was made with my Bow Easy!  Gotta love how effortless making a bow is now that I have that wonderful tool!  I would be lost without it....no I just wouldn't have bows on my cards! LOL!  You can find that gorgeous pin, -->here<--, I love the selection of pins Susana carries!  I added a butterfly charm and a couple pearls to this already gorgeous pin!
Here's the keepsake flip flop box!  It's been painted with pink acrylic paint, and then jazzed up with some Basic Grey Lemonade paper, some ribbon, rhinestones, and a flower gem!
Here is what the box looks like open!  Inside you will find this adorable cotton candy lipgloss keychain.  Such a fun treasure to fit perfectly inside the keepsake box.  This gift set will be available for sale in my shop shortly.  Click -->here<-- to go to my handmade store!

Your Next Stop is to the Amazing Heather's Blog!  Hope you enjoy the rest of the hop, and don't forget you can get these stamps today over at SCACD!  AND if you purchase the whole set you received the two bonus accessory stamps (you can only get them by purchasing the whole set)!  Plus you save so much money buy buying them in the set!  Happy Shopping!

WOJ #79 - Better Late than Never

Hi Friends~

First I will start with an update....I have gone back to my doctor and they have run some tests which so far have come back normal, which is a good thing....but my tummy is still out of whack!  I really wish that it would settle down already.  Got another round of antibiotics...so hopefully those help, otherwise I'm sure that will mean more doctor appts. Hopefully it's a virus that has almost run it's course because I am sure sick of having it!  Thank goodness I only have one class going on right now and so far it seems to be a fun and fairly easy class, so I can't complain.  The professor lets us out early (so far) which definitely helps when you are not feeling the greatest either!

For those of you who would love to see pictures of the wedding that I was in this past weekend, please click -->here<-- my Mom has them posted on her blog! :)

Today I have my WOJ card to share with you!  Only a week a late....but better late than never, right?!  I actually almost had this card complete before I got sick...then got sick and never had enough strength to sit at my desk long enough to put the flowers on the card.  But now it is done and I am very pleased with it!
This week's challenge is to use YELLOW, BROWN, Plus ONE MORE COLOR!  My third color is GREEN I know hard to believe it's not pink huh?!  I've my Willow with Hot Chocolate for this card....she was looking all lonely in my stamps so I thought she deserved some love!  Papers are from the Basic Grey Origins paper pack.  And those gorgeous roses are from Wild Orchid Crafts!
Miss. Willow of course was colored with Copics and highlighted with my White Gel PenSmooch Illuminate was used on Willow cocoa cup for some sparkle along with the flowers on her pants.  Willow is popped up on a blossom nestie that has been stamped in versamark with my new SU vintage jumbo wheel and then embossed with white embossing powder...love this as a background.  The brown panel behind the yellow blossom is made with my Peony nestie.
And here is one more photo that shows the card from a fun angle!  Hope this card was worth the wait! :)

DON'T FORGET:
         1.   That Susana has fantabulous BLOG CANDY available -->HERE<--; and

         2.   FRIDAY is the release of the NEW Summer Time Fun Release by Victoria Case for SCACD!

Susana also has some fun new products in the store which include new Kaisercraft 6x6 collections that are in stock.  Click -->here<-- to go and check them out!  I can't wait to get some for myself! :)  Happy Shopping!

Happy Anniversary

Hi Friends~

Well it certainly has been a long time since I got on my laptop...going on a full week!  How I miss all of you and my crafting!  My one week off in between spring semester and the start of summer classes sure was a rough one with no crafting involved.  Some of you may have read what's been going on over at my Mom's Blog. For those of you who haven't.....I got the nasty flu bug....it started last Sunday night and by Thursday I was so weak, had such bad stomach cramps that my Hubby and Mom decided that I needed to go into the ER.  So Thursday night I spent 3 1/2 hours in the ER...had an AMAZING doctor who was very nice and gave me an IV and 3 different meds.  When he found out that I was supposed to be a bridesmaid in my cousin's wedding the following day he said we will have you looking great and ready to go to that wedding in no time.  Once I got the IV my hubby said he couldn't believe how good I was looking already.  That was the first night that I slept all night.  Made it to the wedding on Friday, survived the ceremony, the dinner (although I hardly ate anything), and the first part of the dance (however I didn't do any dancing....but my uncle's band was playing so I wanted to listen to them for a little bit).  Yesterday I was very weak...think I may have over done it at the wedding so I rested/napped all day.  My symptoms still aren't going away so I will most likely be making a trip to my regular doctor tomorrow probably for more tests.  However, today I am hoping to get a little bit of crafting time in....I'm feeling up to sitting at my desk for the first time in a week. So that is why I have been MIA!!!!

Onto some fun crafty news for you!  Susana has some fantastic blog candy over at the store blog that you don't want to miss!  AND on Friday you don't want to miss the Summer Time Fun Release by Victoria Case for SCACD!  You are going to love this AMAZING set!!!!  The whole set is adorable and there is a bonus that you get when you purchase the whole kit....you get TWO bonus accessory stamps!  How awesome is that?!!!

Today I would love to share the Anniversary card that I made for my hubby (thank god I got this finished before I got sick!)
I used Day Dreaming by Elisabeth Bell for SCACD.  As soon as I saw this cute stamp I knew i wanted to make an easel card and I used the color of my hubby's garage so it looked like I was looking out the window of our "someday" house! :)
This cutie was colored with my Copics.  I've used Ultra Fine Flower Soft in both Raspberry Fizz and Sage.
I've used my MS deep edge border punch to create my white picket fence.  Roses are Prima Mini Roses.  Copic Colors YG95 and YG97 were airbrushed used my ABS to create more of a "grass look" on the piece of green cardstock.  Airbrushing was also used to create a shadow effect behind the tree.
The tree was hand drawn by me.  Then I made a stand for the back, used my leaf punch and arranged the leafs and finally added a cute heart with a B & K which stands for Brent and Kim! :)
My window shutters with sprayed with Tsukineko Psst Shimmer Spritz in Sheer Sparkle.  I love the sparkle and shimmer you get from this fabulous spray!  Window pane was painted with Adirondack Pearl Paint.  Then Diamond Glaze was added to the windows for that real glass look.

Here are two more views so you can see the dimension in the card.  If you click on each picture it will make them both bigger.

I hope you have enjoyed this card!  I loved making it!!! Don't forget to head over the SCACD blog to check out that blog candy!  Susana also has added some WONDERFUL products over this past week that I have been away from blogland! She is now carrying Maya Road Mini Chipboard Sets, Lumiere Mini Paint Sets, and the much loved Tsukineko Psst Frost Spritz and Vanilla Smooch Spritz are now back in stock! Happy Shopping!

TIOT - Sketch Style

Happy Tuesday....First off I have to start by saying HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO MY HUBBY!  Today we are celebrating our 3 year wedding anniversary and next week we will have been together for 8 years total!  I'm more in love with him than ever before!  Love you lots hun!

YAY another TIOT day!  Woot Woot....I also wanted to let you know that we have changed the format of Try It Out Tuesdays....now we will have Try It Out Tuesdays AND Try It Out Thursdays.  The awesome DT at SCACD has been divided into two groups...a few of us on TIOTuesday and a few on TIOThursday.  We will all be playing along in the same challenge each week, just spreading the inspiration through the week!  It's going to be so much FUN!  And now you can join in all of the fun..... starting this week we have a linky on the store blog for you to play along with our challenges...and that isn't all the good news......Susana will be offering a prize for the first challenge of each month!  I hope you join our weekly fun, I can't wait to see what you all create!

This week Suzanne has a sketch challenge for us!  I decided to make a tea light candle holder card, after seeing my GREAT friend Lena make one of these beauties!  You can find the tutorial -->here<--.  However, I altered the dimensions to make mine a little smaller.
I've used another new cutie from the newest Elisabeth Bell release for SCACD.  This is All Grown Up from Sampler Edition #4!  I believe the papers are BG but they were in my stash with no name so I'm unsure which collection.  If someone knows I would be more than happy to edit my post to include the name for you! :) Flowers are a mixture of Primas and Roses from (Wild Orchid Crafts).
Here's Suzanne's awesome sketch.  I rotated it onto it's side for my card.
My image was of course colored with my Copics and accented with my white gel pen. My Viva Decor Lilac Pearl Pen was used to make this cutie pie's pearl necklace look so real.  Image is popped up onto a Labels 10 die cute.  I then created my own flourish swirls with more of the Lilac Pearl Pen and the Violet Viva Pearl Pen. Not digging how they turned out but practice makes perfect, right?!
Here's a close up of the tea light candles in their portion of the card.
And another view so you can see the dimension of the card.  I hope you have enjoyed my creation this week!  I really can't wait to see what you all make!!!

Altering Glass VIVA Style!

Happy Monday~ I hope you all enjoyed your weekend and have a wonderful week!  I wanted to start this week out with some VIVA DECOR fun!  This past weekend my Mom and I found these beautiful candle holders during a shopping excursion at Michaels:
As soon as I saw them my Viva Decor Glass Effect Pens immediately popped into my head and I knew I HAD to have these beautiful candle holders because when I was done with them I knew they would be even more stunning! :)

AND....Here is the Finished Product:
What do you think?  Isn't it amazing the difference a little bit of color makes!  I think the colors add so much more to these candle holders.  I've used the Viva Decor Glass Effect Pen in Green to outline the leaves and then used the Viva Decor Glass Effect Pen in Pink to add the dot collections...I like to think of them as cute little berries!
And here is another angle for you to see the colors some more! :)  These were so easy to alter!  It took me less than 15 mins to paint both of them!  It takes about 3-4 hours for the gel to dry.  What is great is that the gel doesn't run at all so it makes these pens super easy to use!  Love them...Viva Decor really does have amazing products!

If you want to see a tutorial with these amazing Glass Effect Pens, click -->HERE<--  to watch Suzanne at work!

I hope you've enjoy this project and it brought a little bit of fun to your Monday!  I'd love to hear what you think!

TIOT - Spring Gift

Happy Tuesday~ I hope you are all enjoying your week!  My week is not so cheery....it's dreaded FINALS week at school!  Two Exams today and one more on Thursday!  If I make it through today I should be doing pretty good....my hardest exam is today!  Eeekkk!  Please send some good wishes and prayers my way! :)

The good thing about today is that it's TIOT over at the SCACD Blog!  Today Suzanne has challenged the DT to create a Spring Gift....I didn't have a whole lot of play time in between studying and my cousin's bachelorette party this weekend so I did take an hour yesterday to get away from my books to whip something up.  I couldn't find what I wanted to make....I'm sure the "something" I was looking for was in a tote buried under something else....I guess I will just have to keep that idea for later! :)  Instead I decided to use You Have Mail from the Sampler Edition #4 by Elisabeth Bell for SCACD on my project.
I thought this cutie would be perfect for a little notebook to have by your computer to write down blogs or websites that you like to go to!  I know I always need paper by me when I am on the computer constantly coming up with new ideas while I'm blogging!  Papers are from the new Pink Paislee Bayberry Cottage Collection. I wanted to use some bright colors for our SPRING theme!  Bottom corners were punched with a MS corner punch.
This cutie was of course colored with my Copics (what else huh?!) and then accented with my white gel penButtermilk Spica was used on her hair to add some sparkle.  I took a piece of fabric, cut it, and then frayed the edges to make it look like she was laying on the rug of her room blogging away!
The sentiment was created with a PTI set that I purchased and haven't had time to ink up yet.  Stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa.  Then I took my Viva Decor Kiwi Pearl Pen and accented around the bottom of my circle.

Susana has some NEW PRODUCTS in over at the store, they include Crafters Workshop Stencils/Templates; NEW Prima Fairytale Roses, and Susana is now carrying the Copic Blender REFILL!  PLUS she just got the NEW Basic Grey pads in...they include Cappella, White, Kraft, Manilla, & Max & Whiskers along with some new colors of Viva Decor Glitter Paste...you need to check out these awesome colors!!!  Those new paper pads, primas and stencils look awesome (may need to do some shopping myself) and I always am using my Copic Blender Pen on my colorings...the refill is a GREAT thing to have around!  Happy Shopping to you!

Make sure you head over to the SCACD Blog to check out the other TIOT samples the DT has created!

WOJ #78 - Jane's Sketch

 Hello Friends~

Happy Wednesday!  I hope you are all enjoying your week!  As I said yesterday my week is a little stressful with classes winding down for the semester.  Today I have to give a group presentation for my HR Management class....a little nervous as I don't like to speak in front of people...so I will be VERY excited when the presentation is over!  Then it's off to write two papers....I am getting super excited for the weekend that's for sure! I'm taking a break from studying for finals to spend the day with my family and friends for my cousin's bachelorette party....I'm standing up in her wedding in 2 weeks so Saturday we are having a total girls day/night!  It will be a blast!  That's my light at the end of the tunnel for this week!

Now onto crafty things....seeing how it's Wednesday that means in WOJ Challenge Day!  Woo-Hoo!  First off, thank you very much for those people who played along with our money holder challenge!   This week we have some special news to share with all of you....our challenges are moving to every other week....we are hoping that by giving you two weeks to play along with a challenge more people will be able to join in our fun! This week's challenge is a sketch challenge by our very talented Jane!  You have until May 18th to play along!
This week I have gone with a shabby chic style!  I wanted to use pink and green and then make it chic so out came my TH Distress Crackle Paints in White and Rock Candy!  All edges of papers were painted with both Crackle Paints.  The pink panel behind Willow was cut out with my Oval Nestie, then embossed with my SU folder and finally I painted over it with my White Crackle Paint.  Paper are from the BG Porcelein collection.
Here is Jane's lovely sketch!  Love the swirls!
Willow in Summer Breeze was colored with Copics, and accented with a white gel pen.  The apples on her dress we topped with my Viva Decor Transparent Gloss Pen for some shine!  Her bracelet colored with a Viva Decor Light Carmine Paper Pen and then I added Glamour Dust to the top for lots of sparkle and bling.  The Scalloped Oval edges were also painted with Crackle paint and the pearls on the top left were made with my Viva Ice White Pearl Pen.  Can you tell I absolutely love the Viva products?!  They are so reasonable for the amount of product that you get!
For my swirl I added some Sizzix swirls with a Wild Orchid Crafts Rose and Prima Hydrangea.  Pearls again were with the Viva Pearl Pen and the butterfly gemstone charm is one that I picked up at HL over Easter.
Finally the double bow was made with my Bow Easy!  Again, my favorite tool....I so love being able to make bows...and it really is easy to use!!!

This challenge's prize is being offered by the wonderful Katharina and it is the Girl with Lamb stamp!  Speaking of sweet things, you need to head over to Katharina's blog...she is offering up some GREAT Candy.....the NEW Get Well Soon Collection will be going to one lucky winner!

TIOT - Vintage Style

Hi Friends~

I hope you are all having a fantastic week...this is my last week of classes before finals next week!  Eeekkk!  Thank goodness I really only have one hard final and the rest shouldn't been to terrible; however I do have a major presentation coming up...hopefully this time I don't stop speaking in the middle of a sentence and freeze! lol!

This week Suzanne has challenged used to create a Vintage Theme card....think browns, sepia, warm grays, and black colors.  I decided to go with the Sepia theme for my card!
My Mother-in-law absolutely loves horses so when I first saw At the Horse Show I couldn't wait to make a card for my MIL!  This stamp is one of the brand new ones over at SCACD and is from Sampler Edition #4 by Elisabeth Bell for SCACD.  Dp is from the DCWV Once Upon a Time collection.  Heart doily has been spritzed with glimmer mist.
This cutie was colored with my Copics and accented with white gel pen.  I've added Chocolate Spica to her hair and Ice White Pearl pen was used for her buttons.
Large flower is a Gardenia and others are Prima Hydrangeas and mini rose.  Flowers have been glitterized with Diamond Stickles and then I have added customized pearls to the Hydrangeas with my Viva Decor Cream Pearl Pen!
Sentiment is from a SU set and the pearls have again been made with my Viva Decor Cream Pearl pen!  It's so nice to be able to make pearls the exact size that you need them to be!
