Happy Monday!  I hope you all had an amazing weekend...I spent a lot of my weekend working on homework!  Boo!  Fortunately I did get some fun time in too!  Hubby and I went car shopping some more Saturday afternoon...I think we have our search narrowed down to a 2011 Hyundai Sonata limited!  WOW did I love that car...I can't wait until the day we go and purchase it now!  Saturday night we also went to see the new country duo Thompson Square!  OMG they are amazing.... I love their music!!!

Seeing how it's Monday....it's another Wild Orchid Crafts Challenge Day!  Yippy!!!  Again, I want to thank each and every one of you who played along with our last challenge!  See almost 600 entries is so amazing!!!!  We really appreciate your entries!  This week we have another fun challenge for you....Bev has created a beautiful sketch for your creations this week!
I've made a post it note holder.  I'm making these for the girls that I work with!  You can find the tutorial here.  I've used the fabulous Cameo Rose by Elisabeth Bell for SCACD.  Isn't she beautiful?!  Papers are from MME Stella Rose Hattie collection!
Here you can see how I've used Bev's sketch.   On the upper panel I've used the gorgeous Wild Orchid Craft ivory daisy chain lace.  In the bottom right hand corner you will see a silver metal corner filigree.  I absolutely LOVE these...they add the perfect vintage feel to the card.
Miss. Cameo Rose was colored with Copics.  The swirls in the frame were colored with Copic Spicas for a fun glittery effect.  She was cut out using a SB Labels 9 and airbrushed the edging with my Copic ABS.  Speaking of Spellbinders...Susana has the BRAND NEW DIES in stock!!! Click -->here<-- to go and check them out!
Flowers are the beautiful Wild Orchid flowers!  Arrangement consists of a Classic Sweet Rose, 25mm Hybrid Tea Roses (that were airbrushed to match my blues), 15mm roses, Hip Rosebuds, 4mm Closed Rosebuds, and Pearl Sprays.
Here you can see the holder where the post it note pad will go.  I have 3 more of these to make yet...so be on the look out for a few more of these to show up on my blog! :)  Now make sure you head over to the WOC Challenge Blog to see Bev's wonderful sketch!!!

Quest for a Car...

OK...so I am sure the title of this post throws you for a loop....as I am usually posting about crafty adventures....but today I am posting a question regarding vehicles!

I'm looking at purchasing a new car and am wondering any feedback that you can give me.  Since my car is 9 years old and on its way to getting tired out....hubby and I are starting the process of car shopping.  We originally were looking at the VW Jettas because the diesel model offers 40+ mpg and seeing how I will be putting at least 100 miles on my car a day going to work the fuel mileage is playing a huge role in our purchase.  However, Hubby found that the Jettas have some issues so we are going to pass that model by.  My conditions are that I want a car that looks sporty....but yet will be big enough for kids in the future!  Right now we are looking at the:

2011 Chevy Malibu LTZ
2011 Hyundai Sonata Limited

If you own or no someone who owns one of these models any feedback you have is welcome (for example: is there enough space, quality, loudness, ride rough/wonderful, quirks, problems, why you love it)....good and/or bad information is GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!

Or if you have another suggestion of a vehicle....I am definetly open to hear your suggestions....as long it's not an SUV or Mini Van....again we are looking for high fuel mileage!  Thanks in advance for all of your help!!!

MAMM - Clearsnap Design Adhesive

Welcome Back!  Today's a Double Post Day...so please scroll down to see my Wild Orchid Challenge Post!!

It's the FIRST MONDAY of the month....which means it's Make A Mess Monday over at SCACD!  Today Marti and I are showcasing the fabulous Clearsnap Double Side Adhesive Design Stickers!  This product is absolutely fabulous and EASY to work with!
I've decided to alter a little notebook using the NEW Call Me stamp by Victoria Case for SCACD.  This beauty is part of The Retro Crew Collection....oh my goodness is this set so adorable and really takes me back into my younger years.  Call Me totally reminds me of myself when I was a teen!  I swear I sretched our rotary phone cord out so far that you could walk around the house with it!  LOL!  Everytime my friends came over they laughed at our phone!  I've taken a piece of cardstock, and used the Pretty Petals Clearsnap Adhesive, then took my TonerTex Foil and got this beautiful and customized designer paper.
Call Me cutie has been colored with Copics and accented with a white gel pen. She's been cut out using the mega oval, then I took my TonerTex Pen and went around the edge of the oval...after the adhesive turned from blue to white I then took my green foil and accented the edge of the oval.  I love how easy this is to use and gives such a dramatic look....and it also matches my Clearnsnap Design too!
Doohicky Flower die and rose have been accented with Star Dust Stickles for extra glitter!  Here's another view so you can see the beautiful design that you get using the Clearsnap Designs!  I have another project that I am working on using the Clearsnap....I'll have it posted later this week for you!

**SCACD NEWS**  We are starting a Challenge Blog....SCACD Friends with Heart Challenge Blog debuts on April 5th....hurry over to the challenge blog to get our blinkie and sign up to be a follower!!  One lucky follower will be in for a HUGE SURPRISE on Grand Opening Day!  You don't want to miss the fun!!!

WOC #19 - Dies & Punches

Happy Monday!  I hope you all had an amazing weekend...today marks another Wild Orchid Crafts Challenge Day!  Yippy!!!  First I want to thank each and every one of you who played along with our last challenge!  We were thrilled to see over 1,000 entries!!!  It was so fun to see all of your amazing and beautiful creations!!!

This week we have another fun challenge for you....get out your dies and punches because this week we want to see them...that's right this week's challenge is to use Dies and/or punches on your creations!
Today I've used Victoria Bonita by Victoria Case for SCACD.  She's a part of the Sweet Meets Sassy Collection!  I absolutely LOVE this collection!!!  I recently purchased a grand calibur and I am absolutely LOVING it along with my Grand Nesties...it's so much fun making shaped cards!!!  Papers are from MME Stella Rose Mabel Collection.
Victoria Bonita was colored with Copics and accented with a white gel pen.  She was cut out with a circle nestie and then I took the flourish stamp that comes as a FREEBIE when you purchase the Bonita Collection and stamped around the image and softened by airbrushing around the outside edge.  Illuminate smooch was used to accent her eyeshadow and lace on her dress.  She was then popped up onto a lacey circle nestie which was accented using some clear rhinestone self adhesive gems from Wild Orchid!  I've also used some of the new vintage seam binding in cameo beige.  Instead of using the vintage seam binding as ribbon, I've folded and gathered it along the length of the card.
Flowers are from the amazing Wild Orchid Crafts!  Arrangement consists of a peach Classic Sweet Rose, peach Gardenias, cream Cherry Blossoms15mm rose (that's been airbrushed to match my color combo), hip rosebuds (which have also been airbrushed), and Crystal Chandelier Drops.

I hope you've enjoyed my sample for this week's challenge!  I can't wait to see what you make!!!

Meet Flora Bonita, she is a part of The Bonita Collection by Victoria Case for SCACD!  Oh my goodness when I first saw this set I was in total awe and amazement over the beauty!  I absolutely love how realistic these images are and how versatile they are!  I'm made my card for a very special friend, but you could use this collection for birthday cards, thinking of you cards, really for any reason...I think they would make gorgeous bridal shower cards!  The papers I have used are from the NEW Bo Bunny Gabrielle Collection.  I love how gorgeous all of these papers are!!!
Flora Bonita was colored with Copics and accented with Copic Spicas.  This was cut out using a SB oval and layer on top of a SB Labels 10.
Do you love my gold flourish?  Well this was done with gold embossing powder and the flourish stamp that can be yours too...it's the BONUS FREEBIE stamp that comes along with The Bonita Collection Set!  I've also used the flourish stamp on the top and bottom of my SB labels 10 to dress it up a bit.  Little butterflies were accented with my Viva Decor Cream Pearl Liner!  Love how these Viva Pens allow you make all the customized pearls that you want! :) You can see in the flourish I have used my Viva Decor Turquoise Pearl Pen to make really tiny pearls.   The bow was made using my Bow Easy!
