I hope you are doing wonderful this Monday! I am still trying to get caught up on rest since CHA...and back to my normal schedule! lol! I'm hoping to get my photos in slideshows today so I can start sharing the CHA products with you!
Today's the 1st Monday of the month so that means it's MAKE A MESS MONDAY over at SCACD! Marti has a fabulous challenge for us....it's to use Chipboard!!! This post is a little late...I usually schedule my posts to go live early in the AM; however, I just finished my projects late last night and they were drying so I had to wait until this morning to get pictures of them....and I got to sleep in this morning so that's why I'm late. Sorry! I hope it was worth the wait! For my chipboard samples I have used loads of Viva products!
For my first sample I have used Aurora Out on the Town from the Aurora 2 Collection by Victoria Case for SCACD. Papers are from DCWV and Cosmo Cricket. I love the yellow and blue combination for this beauty!
Aurora has been stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copics and accented with my white gel pen. Instead of using my W3 for the shadows within the image colors I have used C3 to give the shadows more of a blue hue.
And now for the Chipboard decorations! I've taken a chipboard swirl and then grabbed my VIVA Decor Steel Blue Inka Gold. I dipped my finger into the Viva and then just smeared it over the chipboard. It hardly took any Viva to cover this swirl and the finished look is so metallic and shiny! I just love this stuff! If you don't have any you really should get some!!! It's absolutely amazing and is easy to clean off of your hands...just use soap and water! To see a video Marti has put together showing the Inka Gold products, click -->HERE<--! The chipboard was finally decorated with some roses from Wild Orchid Crafts which consist of a yellow 20mm Rose, and two blue 15mm roses. The roses have been glitzed with Star Dust Stickles.
The butterflies have also been decked out with my Viva Decor Ice White Pearl Pen, and I was able to get the exact pearl size that I needed. As you know I absolutely LOVE these pens!
Here is another view of the Viva Decor Inka Gold in the sunlight so you can see the metallic hue that this product gives off. I've added Viva Decor Light Blue Pearl Pen to the Swirls for some added dimension. Now you really need to go and check out all the Viva Decor Inka Gold colors that Susana carries over at SCACD!

Now for project #2! For this project I have used some more chipboard and Viva Decor products! This card was made using the beautiful Sprite....isn't she just a doll?! I absolutely love her! She's so adorable! To get your own Sprite all you need to do is order the BRAND NEW Aurora 2 Collection by Victoria Case for SCACD....because this cutie comes FREE with your set! Susana also has amazing prices on her stamp sets which means that your stamps are less than $5 a piece...PLUS the Sprite Freebie....how wonderful is that? Papers are a combination of Kaisercraft Gypsy Sisters and Papermania Raspberry Champagne.
Sprite has been stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copics and accented with my white gel pen. I've popped her up on two Spellbinders Big Scalloped Circles. The background effect behind Sprite was made using my SU Vintage Wheel and Hero Arts Shadow Ink in Soft Pink. When you stamp with the Hero Arts ink it looks dark but dries to a very soft hue. I've again used my Viva Decor Ice White Pearl Pen to add some small pearls to the darker die.
Flowers are Zva Creative Roses that have been glitzed with Diamond Stickles and set on top of a Ribbon Rose (this ribbon is pretty cool....my Mom got it for me for my birthday and I love it!) Heart Pins are Maya Road and rosebuds are light pink 4mm Closed Rosebuds from Wild Orchid Crafts.
And now for the CHIPBOARD! This sign was soooo much fun to make! I took my blank piece of chipboard and my Viva Decor Light Carmine Paper Pen. I put a generous amount of Viva on the chipboard and smeared it around with a make up sponge. While the piece was still wet I took my SU Vintage Wheel and wheeled it through the Viva which left the same amazing print as the background that Sprite is popped up on. I then set the chipboard aside to dry, which took a little while. **NOTE**if you try this technique make sure that you clean off your wheel RIGHT AWAY so the Viva doesn't dry on. I just ran my wheel under water immediately after using and it cleaned right up with water.
Susana has LOTS of naked chipboard pieces over at SCACD and LOTS of Viva Decor products for you to alter your chipboard with! Have fun playing with your chipboard! Make sure you stop back the 1st Monday of the Month to see what other Messy Creations we will have to share with you!
