Anything Goes Bella Challenge!

My friend, Lynn, celebrated her 40th birthday last week....HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY LYNN! Lynn is also a Bella Queen and her challenge this past week was the Anything Goes Bella Challenge! That means a 3-D project with lots of bling and of course a Bella! Woo-Hoo....I love paper crafting and making everything so I got my mind going....and this is what I came up with: Oh yes....it's a hot cocoa packet mug holder! Isn't Lattebella so cute with her hot cocoa! I prefer chai...but I am going to be selling hot cocoa holders like this at the craft show on Sunday....so I guess we will go with hot cocoa today! Hee hee! In real life this is actually VERY sparkly! I love bling and sparkles! There is star dust stickles on Bellas flower in her hair, on her mug, and her shoes....but the picture doesn't show that real well! There is pink taffy glitter mist all over the chocolate colored mug too! It sparkles all over the place! Papers for this creation are from my Wish On A Scrap October kit....man I love these papers!

Wish me luck with Lynn's Challenge!

**Sorry I can't remember who's blog I saw the mug on...or I would definitely give credit where credit is due! If it's you....please let me know, and I will add your name in here! :) ***

Stationary Set & Blog Candy Alert

I was so inspired by Adela when she posted her fabulous creation....I just had to try making one of these card gift boxes for myself! What a great gift this makes! My mom loved the project...guess what she will be getting for a gift in the future. I am hoping people like them at the craft show coming up in a few weeks! I personally love this one because it is pink and brown!

Inside are 6 cards, with customized envelopes, sentiments, stamps, and chocolates! Gotta love chocolate...it goes good with EVERYTHING!

I applied glue dots on the back of the sentiments so that the receiver can just pop the sentiment on whatever card they would like to give away.
I want to thank Adela again for sharing her creation with her friends in blogger land! She is a very talented lady so make sure you go and visit her blog!

On a side note: If you love the Whiff of Joy stamps that I have been using lately, head over to Scrapmumur's blog for a chance to win a Melinda stamp!

Julie is also celebrating her 1 yr. blog anniversary so stop by and sign up for her Stampin' Up yummy blog candy!

Happy Birthday to my Bro!

In order to be in my family you have to have a birthday in either June or October! My Mom and Brother's birthdays are October, and my Dad, Sister, Hubby, and I are all June babies! So the running joke to my brother and sister is they have to find significant others who either have a birthday in June or October. Hee hee! No, not really, we aren't that mean!

My little brother's birthday was Wednesday...he turned 24! He is a biker dude and has his own Harley! I decided to go with the Harley theme to create his card. I think it turned out really good....and my brother really liked it too so that was a HUGE bonus! Especially because I don't think guys care about handmade cards. I made him a nugget tin too with Harley colors! I thought it turned out super cute but still manly! I created this card to enter into TA's sketch blog candy. Here is the sketch:

And here is my card and nugget tin:
And of course I had to decorate the inside of the card too! I wanted to keep it simple but add some color. The little pocket on the left was where I put his birthday money in! I never know what to get him, so I just give him some cash! He always likes that!
Papers:
Creative Memories
Random cardstock in my stash

Pigments, Inks, & Powders:

Tim Holtz Distress Ink (spiced marmalade)

Then I want to send another GREAT BIG HUG to Jacquie! She is so sweet! She mails me cards all of the time that are just so adorable! Her works ROCKS! Look at this beautiful Bella card she made for me! And of course she used pink and brown! How perfect is that for me! :) Jacquie has some blog candy going on right now so head on over to her blog for your chance to win!

I love it and have it hanging on my new card board that I just hung up on my craft corner wall! I smile everytime I see it! Thanks Jacquie!

Then I have to thank Gayle! This was a TOTAL surprise! One day I get an envelope in the mail and it is postmarked out of the country, air mail, no return address. I ordered some Magnolia and Whiff of Joy stamps, but knew they shouldn't be at my house yet. I open up the package and Gayle sent me is BEAUTIFUL card fild holder FILLED to the brim with images of Sarah Kay, Rachel Miller, and other stamps we can't get here in the states! I was so excited! I can't wait to play with all of these fun images! Thank you so my Gayle for the fun surprise! I loved it!!! Her cute folder is on my card board too!

Then the other day I get this other package in mail and here it is from my Bella Sistah Tiffaney! She sent me LOTS of goodies! Some bellas and stellas to play with! A bunch of fun leave embellishments, and some bella dots....these dots look like so much fun! I don't have any of these so I was all excited to see them in my package. Then look at the awesome ribbon she sent me! It looks like so much fun and has pink and brown in it! Woo-Hoo! Thanks so much Tiff you are the greatest Sistah!

And finally I want to thank Debbie. I won her blog candy the other week and she makes these awesome die cut creations! The paper is so cool (nice and thick) and the die cuts are just so darn cute! I love all the swirls that she sent along...as swirls are my favorite! Head on over to Debbie's blog to check out her creations for sale! The only stipulation to winning Debbie's creation was that I have to make something with her dies and send her a picture! I can sure handle that! These cuts look like so much fun!

Thanks again to everyone!

A Baby on the way!

This summer I made a Dipolma bella card for my mom to give to her freind's daughter for her high school graduation, and my mom's friend fell in love with the card! Now, that same friend has a baby shower coming up this month and she asked my mom if I would be willing to make her a cute baby shower card! OF COURSE, was my answer! Seeing how she liked the Bellas so much I had to use Teddybella! The mom-to-be is having a baby girl so of course I had to use lots of pink on the card! The theme for the shower was ladybugs, patchwork quilt, and pink! I used the patchwork quilt and pink ideas and ran with them! This is what I came up with: My mom's friend absolutely loved the card too....so that made me happy! I loved how I came up with the envelope decoration...it compliments the card so good!

Whiff Of Joy Challenge 2

Here is my creation for this week's Whiff Of Joy Challenge. This week called for stitching on a creation, whether it be real or faux, it didn't matter. Seeing how I didn't have a sewing machine, I thought I couldn't participate this week....UNTIL I remembered that I had this little Daisy D's stitch tape runner thingy! This card was made for my friend's daughter who is having a hard time with reading at school! I wanted to make her a special card and a bookmark to help inspire her to keep up with her reading. I hope she likes it and it helps! Here is the inside of the card with the bookmark in its own little pocket!
And here is the card again with the bookmark!
I was all excited because I finally figured out how to use my Fiskar cirlce punches today too! I have only had them for a month and couldn't figured them out!

Happy Card Making Day!

Well I am a day late for world card making day....but yesterday I did get a little bit of card making in! I was supposed to be studying....but SHHHHH don't tell....plus I am busy studying today instead of playing! Yesterday I made birthday cards because it was my Mom's 50th Birthday.....and my brother's birthday is this coming Wednesday. We celebrated both birthdays last night. We went to an elegant restaurant as a family and it was so much fun! We laughed all night! I will share these birthday cards with you later this week! You don't want to miss them...they turned out awesome. Way to make you wait huh?!

I also wanted to let you know that today I uploaded my VERY 1st tutorial on the Wish On A Scrap blog. Click HERE to go to my tutorial! You will learn how to take an ordinary Cuttlebug embossing folder and turn it into a tool to make pretty beaded elements for your projects! Below are two of my creations using this technique!

First is a pretty autumn card: And second, is an altered notebook. This is my 1st Magnolia project too! I just love coloring Tilda! I used my Copics to color her, and placed her on my beaded branch paper to make it look like she is sitting in a tree!
Hope you like!
