More Bellas

Today I finished my Bella calendar pages! Woo-Hoo! I am so excited they are done...and ahead of schedule....YAY...I am usually a big time procrastinator so this is VERY good for me!!!

For my July pages I used the 4th of July theme and Happy Birthday America! So to celebrate I decided on Cuppacakeabella. I of course tweeked this bella a little bit by adding a custom drawn arm with a sparkler which I thought added a special touch. Then I paper pieced (for the VERY 1st time) the bottom of the cupcake, and of course added some diamond stickles for the frosting! I thought my paper piecing turned out very good...and I couldn't believe how easy it was....why the heck didn't I try this sooner! Ha ha! I can't wait to get my Glossy Accents from Wish On A Scrap b/c that would have looked so darling on the cherry on top! Of course I colored with my Copics.

Then my next project of the day was to work on my Inchies! My friend Kimmie from Crafting for Sanity is hosting an inchie swap on the Yahoo Group Rock Bottom Scrapbooking Supplies. I was VERY nervous about joining this swap b/c I had NO CLUE what you can put in a 1 inch by 1 inch square piece of paper! I wanted to make them pink and brown b/c we all know those are my FAVORITE colors. After cutting my pink squares and incorporating some pretty flourishes (b/c those are my favorite designs these days) I had to think of something to go in the middle of the square. I pulled out my Bellas and was going to use a Bella head when I found my cardbackabella and thought she would be PERFECT b/c of her small size! Then I topped them off with micro mini beads....which I still don't know if I am crazy about the beads being on them...but the tacky tape was already on the squares so there was no turning back!

Today ended up being a pretty productive day! Woo-Hoo!

Sunday Crafting!

Sorry I have been MIA this past week! It was a SUPER busy week here...and one that involved no crafting. Boo! :( My hubby and his Dad bought a car so hubby and I took a trip in the middle of this week to Chicago to pick that up. Then Friday and yesterday I helped my friend with her rummage sale (and sold a bunch of my left over inventory of my Creative Memories products). Today I got to play in my craft corner so I was a VERY happy girl! I worked on my calendar pages for the Bellaholics Yahoo Group. I got 2 of my months done! YAY! Here are my pages:

First is my August page! I love summer and to me kinibella is a perfect representation of summer! I got to use my new tropical scene stamp and used my Copics to color. I love how the background picture turned out!!! I think I am finally getting the hang of coloring with my Copics! Then I used pop dots to make kinibella pop off of the page!

Here is a close up of my scenic picture!
Recipe for the August page include: Copics, stickles, Doodlebug paper frills, Kinibella (from Stamping Bella), and ScenicEscapes. Most of my products are purchased from Loreen at Wish On A Scrap. Make sure to check out her store...she has the BEST customer service and prices!

Next, is my June page. Since a lot of the weddings we attend are in June, I thought I would use Hitchedafellabella for this page. I got to play with my new circle Nesties and my Queen & Co. Felt Fusion. I thought this turned out very elegant....and exactly the look I was going for!

Recipe for June page includes: Copics, stickles, Queen & Co. Felt Fusion, Primas, Hitchedafellabella, sentiment, and baubles from Stamping Bella, Fiskar punch, misc. ribbon.

Hope you like my pages! I can't wait to see the final calendar!

Happy Monday!

Well I hope everyone had a GREAT weekend! I sure did.....a busy one...but nevertheless it was fun! Friday was my Stampin' Up party! We had so much fun! My consultant Kersten was AWESOME! It was a good turn out...and my mom even got hooked on stamping and card making.....my mom has always stayed far away from paper crafting (even though I have tried many times to bring her over to the dark side) so I am so excited that she is joining the cult...I mean club! Hee hee! We made the following two cards at my party:
The next card is my FAVORITE...I am so ordering these two sets...they are a MUST have! This is so MY STYLE!!!! I love the swirls!!!!!
Today I finished a work in progress! The day I was creating all of the card holders I started this one! I still had to decorate the outside though. Of course this is a Wish On A Scrap creation! This was created with items from my August kit. The pink paper behind the sentiment is a custom creation....I created my own glimmer mist again with perfect pearls and re-inker! The color was BEAUTIFUL! Then I took the chipboard swirls from my kit and painted them white and used my custom glimmer mist to add a little bit of pink and shimmer to them! I used my Fiskar corner punch to add that little bit of girliness to the card holder. I love how this turned out! Don't forget to run over to Wish On A Scrap....Loreen just released the preview of the September kit and let me tell you she out did herself again....this one looks fabulous!!!!
And of course we need an inside view:

Next is a box I whipped up quick on friday for my sister. I made one of the bracelets from the previous post for her and wanted a box to put it in to surprise her with. She loves the vintage look and black and white so what better paper to use for this awesome gift box! I love everything about this box....I almost didn't want to give it away because I liked it so much!
And below is the little card that I put inside with the bracelet.

Today I was busy decorating this cardboard box that I bought from Hobby Lobby last week. I was busy blog hopping last week when I came across THIS! I was so inspired that I wanted to take my pencils out of their container and make them more accessible to me! Plus I do like having the tips in sight to pick a color! I of course wanted to keep my pink and brown color combo going...so I found this DCWV paper in my stash that was perfect for my project! My hubby helped me notch the foam board on the inside so that I have separate compartments for my color families! This takes up less space on my desk that my big old prisma container too!

And here is the view from the top where you can see my foam board separators. I did cover the inside sides with pink paper as well! Hope you enjoyed my lastest creations.....be on the watch for blog candy that will be up for grabs later this week!

Crafting In A NEW Way!

Well today was definitely a busy day! I decided to try my knack at jewelry making thanks to seeing Nichole's tutorial and awesome gift she created! I used to make beaded jewelry back when I was in high school so I thought I would mix my jewelry making skills with stamping and see what I come up with! And the final product looks like this:

I LOVE how these turned out and making the custom charms was soooo much fun! I used my polyshrink by my August Wish On A Scrap kit. What better then to be able to wear your custom stamped art! I have had my bracelet on ALL DAY today...of course mine looks like the pink and black one above! :) I am going to start selling these so if anyone would like to place an order please e-mail me for further information!

My hubby has been busy the past few weeks custom building a deer stand....so in between my crafting I have had to go out to the garage and hold a few boards so he can nail them together. Yesterday the siding went on the deer stand......And today was paint day! I told hubby from Day 1 that when paint day came around I wanted to help....because all we had to do was camouflage the bright tan siding. We had a blast spray painting today! My thumbs got super sore and we went through 5 cans of spray paint. I think I had more paint of my fingers than on the stand! ha ha! So this was my CRAFTING IN A NEW WAY for today! What do you all think? I even took pictures to show you how it turned out!!!

I told hubby that is his Home Away From Home! ha ha! There are window's that still have to be put in...they weren't in yet b/c of the paint! I think he did an AWESOME job for doing it all by himself!

Tomorrow I am hostessing a Stampin' Up party! I am so excited!!!!! I will post the creations we make at the party sometime this weekend....my brother's friend is getting married Saturday and my brother is in the wedding so we will be gone Saturday too! Don't miss me too much!

Another Design for Wish On A Scrap

Today I created a card for my friend Crystal who just had a baby girl last week.....Baby Chloe! She is so adorable! I used items from my Wish On A Scrap August Kit. The Cuttlebug embossed edge adds that perfect feminine touch. Also this is my 1st post coloring with my Copic markers...I still can't seem to figure out the blending/shading very well. I hope to learn that soon! Any tips and pointers are GREATLY appreciated! I have been reading the I Like Markers blog faithfully trying to learn from Marianne.

And for the inside of the card I used my nesties (I love these) and did some paper piercing. I used my Gelly Powder glitter embossing powder over the top of my ink sentiment (which doesn't show up well in the photo...but it looks really cool in person)!
Second, is another card holder folder that I made yesterday when I was mass producing while I was doing laundry. I got the outside of this one finished....which will be going out to a very special friend of mine this week! Shhhh...she doesn't know it yet! I also started decorating another one but didn't finish it yet (hopefully I will finish it tomorrow after I get back from my shopping trip)...so stay tuned tomorrow for that one....hint (it has my FAVORITE color in it!)
Hope you enjoyed!

New Creations

Happy Monday Everyone! Hope you all had a GREAT day! I was busy doing laundry today...Ick...not my favorite chore to do! However I did get a couple projects made on Sunday that I finally got a chance to upload for you!

The First project is a Window Bag. It has an acetate window that I stamped with Staz-On Ink and colored. I finished by embellishing with some prima flowers and chocolate ribbon. Directions were from the Scor-Pal website. This project was VERY fast and easy to make!

Second is a card holder file. I found the directions on Nixe's blog. Thanks Nixe...your directions were super! This card holder was so much fun to make! I even made my very own glimmer mist with perfect pearls and reinker while I was putting this project together! My version of glimmer mist is sprayed on the swirl chipboard pieces underneath the silver flower in the corner. Then of course I had to decorate the holder with some bellas, and tucked behind the bella picture is a bookmark. This is going to a very special friend of mine...but I can't tell you who yet....b/c it is a surprise for that person! :)

Today while I was stuck doing laundry I whipped up a bunch more of these card holders, but I still have to decorate the front flaps on them. Once I get them done I will post them for you to see!

I found out today that I was picked by Kathy for her PIF blog candy! YAY! Thanks Kathy...I am excited to get my surprise! :) Be on the look out for my post in the next few days of my PIF Blog Candy that I will be giving away!

My First Wish On A Scrap Designs

Today has been a VERY busy day in my craft corner! I am so excited to show you my latest creations that I made with my August Wish On A Scrap Kit! If you do not know about these kits you need to go to Wish On A Scrap and check them out! Loreen personally picks out the kit contents and ends up putting together the BEST monthly kits at a GREAT low price! I still can't believe all of the products that I get for $25...it is simply amazing!!!!!

And this month I was ESPECIALLY excited to play with my kit because I am the August Guest Designer for Wish On A Scrap! Can I get a WOOT WOOT?!?! Here are my projects that I have made so far:

First, I made a Bag in a Box! This project was so EASY to make and LOADS OF FUN! I got the project tutorial from Cambria's blog.

Next, is a card that I made mainly with my Wish On A Scrap August Kit contents (The blue and pink paper, and pink rhinestone flower). This card is also my entry for the Sketch Challenge on the 3 Little DReaMs Yahoo Group.

Here is Dani's sketch:
And here is my entry with Ohsoprettybella (the white oval with bella is raised up for foam dimensionals). I loved the sentiments stamp that I had laying around....it totally goes with this bella!:

Then, my next project was to make some Post It Key Chain Holders. I think these are absolutely ADORABLE...and who wouldn't love to have paper right at their finger tips....I know I ALWAYS seem to need paper when I don't have it! I found the tutorial for these on Katarina's blog. Two of the key chains were made with my Wish On A Scrap August Kit (the two outside key chains).

Finally I decided to alter a 2009 Planner that I had purchased at Michael's.
And here is the matching clippie that I made to keep your date in the planner marked. Of course had to add some bling bling sparkles to it!:

I am having so much fun being the August Guest Designer! I hope you are all enjoying my creations as much as I am loving making them all! This kit is so much fun to work with because the contents are SO ME (LOTS of bright colors and sparkles)!

I am the AUGUST Guest Designer For...

Wish On A Scrap! I am soooo excited! Loreen asked me this week if I would be the Guest Designer and of course I said YES right away! I just got my August Kit in the mail today and can't wait to rip into it and start playing! Loreen does such a GREAT job putting these kits together at an AWESOME price! This month's is totally a KIM kit! It's got lots of bright colors, lots of flowers, and lots of bling! It's a total GIRL kit....I LOVE IT! Thanks again Loreen for asking me to be your Guest Designer! I promise I will make you proud! Stay tuned for my projects!

I am a FLORIST

I called my friend Kate this morning to see what she was doing....wanted to see if she wanted to get together today and craft! Instead she was stressing because a friend asked her a couple days ago to whip up some wedding flowers for her wedding today because it is her second wedding and was going to be casual (no specific bridesmaid dresses, no flowers, and outside)...but instead turned into a semi formal event (bridesmaid dress, flowers, and being held in a church)! Mind you Kate is not a florist...she loves to garden but that is about it! So I told her I would be right over to help her.....I am NOT a florist by any means either....I can't even grow a plant or keep them alive. When I got there Kate had all the bouquets made out of hydrangeas and was working on the groomsmen's corsages. We still had 2 arrangements to make, finish the bride's bouquet and make the mother's corsages. I went out in her flower garden and started cutting leaves and flowers and what we whipped up I think turned out pretty darn good! Especially with us having NO experience! Here's what we managed:

Here are the two arrangements that I whipped up....good thing Kate had a lot of flowers outside!

And here is the view looking down at the arrangements:

Next are the bridal party bouquets. Don't they look like big popcorn balls? Ha ha! They are really pretty with chocolate color ribbon wrapped around the stems and the bride's had 3 tier strands of ribbon dangling with rhinestones attached and there was glitter all over the flowers. When Kate gets me another picture I will post it! I didn't want to take them all out of the refrigerator and wreck them.

Then the following two pictures are the mother's corsages that I made. I added the touch of rhinestones to dazzle them up a bit.

So what do you think? For being short notice and not having experience do you think we did a good job?
