This is a card that I made for my near and dear friend Liz! We have been friend's since grade school! Her Grandfather passed away last week, and his funeral service was Friday night. It was somewhat of a blessing, as he had Alzheimer's bad, but it is still so hard to lose a family member. I was glad that I could be there to comfort my friend. I wanted to share the card that I made for her.
I used Basic Grey papers from the Wassail collection, and just red and black from my paper stash. Corner punches and Fiskars boarder punch were purchased from Wish On A Scrap. The "with sympathy" was stamped and embossed with Ranger embossing tinsel in silver. Ribbon is from my stash!

And of course we have the finished inside!

Don't forget to head over to the Wish Blog to enter for your chance to win a Whiff of Joy Lizzie with Chocolate Box stamp in our VERY 1st Challenge! You have until Sunday, January 11th to enter!
I have some SUPER exciting news to share with you tomorrow, I can hardly keep myself from shouting it all to you! So make sure you come back to check it out!!!

The card is beautiful. i know she will greatly appreciate it. My DH aunt has this disease so bad. It broke my heart to see her over the holidays. She looks so sick and so much older than she did just a year ago. She lit up when she saw the kids, laughing and hugging them. She may not have known us, but God used them to touch her. Her daughters said she had not eaten, smiled, talked in days. After the kids came and visited she ate well that night and was very active. I was worried the kdis would be scared of her. TR held her hand and dispiet not being able to understand her, talked to her and spent time with her. I will never forget that day. Hugs to you, cant wait to see what you have in store for tomorrow!

Sympathy cards are always so difficult to make - you put all your love, care and emotions into making it and I'm sure your friend was greatly comforted by knowing just how much you care Kim.
