SCACD NEW ARTIST Blog Hop

WELCOME to the
SCACD NEW ARTIST Blog Hop

If you are here from Jorunn's Blog then you are in the right spot...if NOT make sure you click -->HERE<-- to start at the beginning because you don't want to miss a stop because there are 5 prizes to be won!  Make sure you leave a comment on each blog for your chance to win!

Has the suspense finally gotten to you, not knowing who our new artist is?  First I would like to WELCOME the ultra talented Carmen Medlin to the wonderful family of SCACDCarmen and Susana have teamed up to bring us some AMAZING NEW STAMPS!  Carmen's work is so beautiful and  elegant.....and I love how realistic her images are...I am totally in love with her designs!  So...my question to you now....Are you loving the hop so far with Carmen's images and which is your favorite?

For my card I got to play with the brand new Pearl Princess stamp!  Isn't she beautiful?  I just adore all the details and beauty in each and every stamp from this collection!  Papers are from the Kaisercraft Devonshire Collection, which go along perfect with all the elegance in these new stamps!

Pearl Princess has been colored with Copics and accented with a white gel pen.  My Viva Decor Hologram Glitter Liner was used on the edge of her tail fin and also on the SB Labels 4.  The pearls on Pearl Princess' shirt are made with my Viva Decor Cream Pearl Pen.  The sliver pearls along the edge of the image are made using another Viva Decor Pearl Pen, in silver.

Flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and for my arrangement I have used a Gardenia, 20mm Roses, 15mm Roses, and 10mm Roses.
I've used the NEW Diamond Range Flower Soft in Silver on Pearl Princess' headband and bracelet.  Oh my goodness do I love this new flower soft....I can't wait to see the Gold now too!  I love how these two new colors have glitter along with the gorgeous flower soft that we all love!  :)  On this picture you can also see that I've used my Viva Decor Transparent Gloss Pen on the bubbles for some shine.

Thanks for joining us for this VERY EXCITING day at SCACD!  Your next stop along the hop is Jacqui's Blog!  Enjoy the rest of the hop and don't forget to go and order your stamps, you can find them at SCACD  -->HERE<--! If you are overseas you can purchase from the SCACD sister store Quixotic Paperie!!  And for my Canadian friends you can purchase the stamps at Art Du Scrapbooking!!  I can't wait to see what you create with this collection of beauties!

Kim!!! What a gorgeous card...you have coloured her exquisitely! The colour transition on her tail is stunning, and the watery backgound is perfect. As always, your flower arrangements frame your image beautifully...I think I'll have to take lessons from you on that!

(oh...I recently picked up one of the Viva pens, but still need to experiment with it. I "needed" one after seeing how beautifully you use them! Thanks for being an enabler!! lol)
