I Believe in Magic!

Welcome to:
Stamps and Smiles
Digi Release - Day 3

We have another fun game for you to play and a chance to win today's sneak peek image? One of the scrabble games opened up on Santa's sleigh and some of the letters fell out. Unscrambble the letters and email us your answer. The winner will be announced on Thursday.
Now onto today's sneak peek set:

I Believe in Magic....Do you?  Today, we are showcasing the new Believe in the Magic set. This set measures 4 x 6. It has 1 image and 1 sentiment. Make sure you click HERE to see what all the other DT member have created.

This is the very first easel card that I have made.  Oh my goodness do I love how these look!  I have to admit when I first saw them in blogland I thought they were going to be hard to make...but holy cats they are EASY!  I can see this becoming a new design for me to use A LOT!
The Santa scene was placed behind my Spellbinders Scalloped Edge Frame.  I wove sheer ribbon through each loop of the fame...I saw Becca use this technique and I loved it so much I had to go out and buy this frame!  I love it too!

I colored the image with my Copics (of Course)! Liquid applique was added to the trimming on Santa's suit.  This was the 2nd time that I used my Copic ABS...you can see that I used B32 very lightly in the background to give the sky some character. I think I went a little too heavy by the moon though (it has a tint of blue instead of the yellow it was supposed to be...hee hee)! Oh well, I am learning! I went over the sentiment with my Clear Spica which added an amazing shimmer to it!  It really makes the words look magical!  Rudolph is leading Santa's pack with his nose so bright!  I used Christmas Red Stickles for his cute red nose.

Papers are My Mind's Eye - Falling Frost Signature Christmas Collection.  Here's the side view of my card:

And then the bottom panel:

I used my Spellbinders Ribbon Tag to cut out the sentiment.  I punched 2 modern labels to create a background behind the ribbon tag.  Edging was done with my MS punch.
