Saying Goodbye!

Hello~
I'm sad to say that this is my last post for Embellish.  Barb has decided that she is going to sell the store so that she will have more time for her personal goals & loved ones.  I am very sad to see it go, as I have loved working for Barb & loved all of the girls on the DT!  This has been an amazing adventure; however, they say one door closed always leads to another door open right?!  If you are interested in owning your own online store, you can contact Barb, she would love to speak with you about the options.  I wish Barb & all the other DT girls the best of luck in all their future endeavors.

Here is the last creation that I made for Embellish.
This card features one of the new Sarah Kay stamps, Zoe gazing at butterfly.  Papers are from the Pink Pasilee Cupid Collection.  Ribbon is American Crafts that has been folded over and then stitched with my Sew Mini.  Large roses are Zva and mini roses are from Wild Orchid Crafts.
Zoe was colored with with Copics, and the shading was again another try at Crissy and Chris' style.  Spring flower soft was used on the flower basket.  I love the new Spellbinders Labels 11....I have added star dust stickles around the white layer for some extra sparkle.
Various MS butterfly punches were used on this card too.  The larger ones were first embossed with my cuttlebug folder and then punched and sponged with Memento Angel Pink ink and edged in star dust stickles.

I hope you have enjoyed this creation....I absolutely LOVE reading all of your wonderful comments they totally make my day!  I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend...I'm off to help hubby do some landscaping and then it's crafty time!

Recipe:

I just LOVE the American Crafts Halloween collection! Aren't these papers delish!!! I wanted to make a cute card for my hubby so when I saw the Can I Tell You A Secret Sarah Kay stamp I knew this would be a perfect image for my card!!!!

Here's a close up of my card! Of course I used my Copics to color my image! And don't you just love those Thickers?! Gotta love all that bling!!! I punched the pumpkins with my new Fiskars punch and then used a combo of stamps and my handwriting to finish the saying!

A close up of the sweet couple:
AND....
NOW FOR THE TRICKS....

How many of you have ordered Lia Sophia jewelry? I love this jewelry and have so many of these empty boxes laying around my house! I thought this size box was PERFECT for altering into a candy holder for Halloween!
And here is the altered box.....with my 2ND TRICK!!!! If you look at the scalloped oval you can see that it is shimmery with a rainbow color effect! Well this is a VERY EASY and CHEAP look to obtain!

All you need is:
A small bowl of warm water
Your piece of cardstock
And clear fingernail polish

Place a couple drops of the clear fingernail polish into your warm water. Then slide your cardstock into the bowl from the side, sliding it underneath the fingernail polish. Let your cardstock float to the top of the bowl and carefully remove with the fingernail polish on top of the cardstock. Set the cardstock on a piece of paper towel to air dry....will take overnight for it to dry (don't heat set or you lose the colorful finish)! Then you have a beautifully one of a kind, hand created background paper!
The side view of my altered candy box!
And a few more views:

Eee-yi-eee-yi-oh!

YAY...it's FRIDAY!!!! The weekend is here, and along with that comes this week's Friday Challenge over at Embellish-Online! Cindy has cooked up some fun with this week's challenge! The title is: Eee-yi-eee-yi-oh, and the challenge is to make up your own "Old McDonald, Eee-yi-eee-yi-oh" verse and then make a card to coordinate with your verse on it.

At first I was totally stumped when it came time to create this....as I don't have any farm or farm animal stamps....so I decided to use this Sarah Kay stamp that has been sitting on my desk uninked and just waiting to be played with. I then came up with my verse based upon the stamp. I decided to make a stair step folded card, as it was this week's spotlighted tutorial in the SCS weekly inkling! I had a lot of fun making this 3D card, and using my Cosmo Cricket Early Bird papers added even more fun!
A close up so you can read my created verse:

I'm BACK!

I'm BACK....I've finally returned to the wonderful world of blogland...how I have missed stopping by and saying hi to everyone! I finished my last summer class today, and am VERY pleased to say that I am happy with my grades....it was a very stressful interim and never again will I take 3 accelerated classes at the same time! Whew...I can now breathe and get back to my craft corner....oh how I have missed it so much! I sure haven't stopped supply shopping while I was in school....so I have many new stamps waiting to get ink'd up and lots of new toys shouting they want to come out and play!

Even though school was stressful, and my art class turned out to be more stressful than fun, I did make some AMAZING friends over the past 6 weeks! They definitely made the class enjoyable through all stress! Today, I want to share a card that I made for my new friend, Sandy! She was a life saver, and my art mentor (she can paint like no one else...I swear she is going to be famous...and then I can say....yep that's my friend)! She helped me so much with projects, and her advice was so appreciated, as I am not a painter...I am a Copic Queen! lol!

Here's the front of the card. I used a Sarah Kay stamp and BG paper that I got from Embellish-Online.com. If you would like to shop you can click on the link in my sidebar which will take you to the store and you can get 20% OFF your total order by using the code GLITTER!

Double The Fun!

This week over at Embellish-Online we have 2 Friday challenges for you! First Danni is hosting the normal weekly DT Friday Challenge which is to "Bring on the Fireworks!" Make a creation to celebrate the 4th of July!

I have used this cute Sarah Kay - Picnic of Daisies stamp! I love how the little girl is looking over her shoulder....so when I created the card I made it as if she is looking over her shoulder to see the fireworks! Cute? Every year friends of ours invite us over to their house to watch the annual fireworks in their city. We always have a great time, and after the fireworks they have a campfire with lots of treats and goodies. For their kindness I have made this thank you card for them!

A close up of my Copic Coloring:
