Mother's Day - Take 2

Happy Saturday!  I hope you are all having a fabulous start to your weekend!  Mine started out great....yesterday was my Anniversary.....Hubby and I have been married for 5 years; we spend the afternoon together and then went out for dinner last night....it was a very nice day!

Today I have the Mother's Day card that I made for my Mom to share with you!
My Mom LOVES Magnolia stamps so I knew I had to use a cute Tilda for her Mother's Day card!  When I saw Tilda with Cozy Heart I knew that this was the cutie that I had to use for my Mom's card!  For papers I have used the MME Lost & Found Breeze Collection (which is 20% off right now at SCACD).
Tilda was colored with Copics and pastel pencils.  Her heart and hair ties got a coat of Star Dust Stickles (look at all of the glitz and sparkle...I love it!)  She was cut out using a SB Circle and popped up onto a SB Scalloped Circle.  While she was still in the Circle die I airbrushed lightly around the edges to give that clean white frame.  The beautiful butterflies coming to join Tilda are Small Sequin Butterflies that are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Copic Colors Used: Skin: E000, E00, E11, R11, R20, Hair: E25, E53, E57, E59, Dress/Socks/Hair Ties: BG11, BG57, BG75, Shoes: E34, E37, E53, Heart: R22, R24, R29.
WOC Flower arrangement consists of a Chrysanthemum, 25mm Roses, 15mm Roses, 8mm Semi-opened Rosebud, Heart Pin, and a Decorative Crown Pin.
The upper right hand corner tag was made using my Doo-Hickey Dies.  Sentiment is from the Verve Joyful Blooms Collection. I hope you have enjoyed seeing this card!  Thank you so very much for stopping and looking and leaving your comments....they truly make my day!

MAMM - Clearsnap Design Adhesive

Welcome Back!  Today's a Double Post Day...so please scroll down to see my Wild Orchid Challenge Post!!

It's the FIRST MONDAY of the month....which means it's Make A Mess Monday over at SCACD!  Today Marti and I are showcasing the fabulous Clearsnap Double Side Adhesive Design Stickers!  This product is absolutely fabulous and EASY to work with!
I've decided to alter a little notebook using the NEW Call Me stamp by Victoria Case for SCACD.  This beauty is part of The Retro Crew Collection....oh my goodness is this set so adorable and really takes me back into my younger years.  Call Me totally reminds me of myself when I was a teen!  I swear I sretched our rotary phone cord out so far that you could walk around the house with it!  LOL!  Everytime my friends came over they laughed at our phone!  I've taken a piece of cardstock, and used the Pretty Petals Clearsnap Adhesive, then took my TonerTex Foil and got this beautiful and customized designer paper.
Call Me cutie has been colored with Copics and accented with a white gel pen. She's been cut out using the mega oval, then I took my TonerTex Pen and went around the edge of the oval...after the adhesive turned from blue to white I then took my green foil and accented the edge of the oval.  I love how easy this is to use and gives such a dramatic look....and it also matches my Clearnsnap Design too!
Doohicky Flower die and rose have been accented with Star Dust Stickles for extra glitter!  Here's another view so you can see the beautiful design that you get using the Clearsnap Designs!  I have another project that I am working on using the Clearsnap....I'll have it posted later this week for you!

**SCACD NEWS**  We are starting a Challenge Blog....SCACD Friends with Heart Challenge Blog debuts on April 5th....hurry over to the challenge blog to get our blinkie and sign up to be a follower!!  One lucky follower will be in for a HUGE SURPRISE on Grand Opening Day!  You don't want to miss the fun!!!

Mini Tilda Sending Love

Happy Friday Friends~ I can't believe that another week is coming to a close...but that does mean that we are getting closer to summer....and May 14th....my GRADUATION date!  Today I have a mini easel card to share with you featuring one of my Mini Magnolia stamps!
I used my SB Labels 1 to make this easel card.  Papers are from the Bo Bunny Crush Collection (which happens to be 15% off right now over at SCACD!)  This card is extra special as it went to a friend of mine from high school.  Her little 2 year old boy was recently diagnosised with Craniosynostisis....which caused the right front plate of his head to fuse shut too early which doesn't allow his brain to grow.  He recently underwent his first surgery and some more friends put together a benefit for the family....my hubby and I were unfortunately both working that day so this is the special card that I made to send to them and let them know how much we love and care about them!!!

Miss. Tilda of course was colored with Copics (speaking of Copics..Susana has the BRAND New Copic Set IN STOCK!) and cut out with a Nellie Snellen die and background was airbrushed with my Copic ABS.  Then fun glitter edgeing around the red labels 1 is done with my ultra fabulous TonerTex Pen and Glitters!  Do you have one of these?  Oh my goodness is it the BEST for applying glitter...and they have gorgeous foils that you can use with it too!  You really need to get one of these!
Sentiment was made using the Verve Accent Notes set and cut out with a SB Labels 10 and again airbrushed with my Copic ABS.
Here's another angel of my mini card full of love!  I hope you've enjoyed seeing her!

Recipe:
Stamps: Mini Blowing Kisses Tilda (Magnolia), Accent Notes (Verve)

Mr. & Mrs. Happily Ever After

Good Morning~ Today I am on my way to my cousin's wedding!  I am so excited....and I love weddings!  Congrats to Jason and Jill!!!  Today I'm going to share with you my wedding card for them:
I decided to ink up another one of my Maggies!  I thought this one would be perfect for the brand new bride and groom!  I've used the sketch over at Just Magnolia...I promise the sketch is there...when making the card I didn't realize that I should have made a 6" card instead of my regular 5 1/2" because the image is so big. Lol! Papers are collection of MME Love Birds Collection and DCWV Natural Collection.
Mr. and Mrs. Loving Couple have been colored with Copics and accented with a white gel pen.  I've airbrushed the background with my Copic ABS.  Twinkling H2O in Heavenly White was used on Tilda's dress and the middle of the roses in her hair....I forgot to get a picture of all the shimmer...it really is beautiful IRL.
Flowers are from the magnificent Wild Orchid Crafts!  Arrangement consists of 2-Tone Red and White 30mm Wild Rose, two 20mm red roses, three 10mm red roses, 4mm closed rosebuds and a red stamen.  All flowers have been sparklized with Star Dust Stickles.
Sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes and has been stamped in Memento Rich Cocoa.  I've added two 3mm pearls from Wild Orchid Crafts to accent the sentiment.
I've even decorated the inside of this card! :)  On the left side of the inside I've made this cute little envelope and left the top unglued so I can slip in my gift of money for the newlyweds!  Scalloped have been blinged out with 5mm pearls!
For the right hand side I've carried through the same papers as the front.  I've used my NEW Marianne Die to cut the swirls and added more 3mm pearls to the swirls.  Sentiment is going to go on the SB Labels 9!  Again I want to wish Jason and Jill a Happily Ever After!

Challenges I'd like to enter:

WOC #3 - Part Two

Hi Friends~ As you are reading this I will be on my way to school for my last class of the summer!  Yippy...but it is presentation day...eeek!  Wish me luck!

As I promised yesterday, today I am going to show you the gift that goes along with my Maggie card from yesterday! :)
I've taken a cute black and white bucket that I found at Target.  it was nice and sparkly with glitter already so I added a few Wild Orchid Craft flowers and some ribbon to dress it up just a little bit more.  It was the inspiration for the color theme of my Maggie card.
I've used a 35mm Coral Wild Rose, two 25mm White Roses (that I airbrushed Peach), and two 15mm peach roses.  To adhere the flowers to my bucket I have used the fabulous Crafter's Pick Incredibly Tacky Glue....this stuff is so amazing!  Your flowers will definitely stay put with this adhesive...I need to order me some more before the winter because it can't freeze and that would be a probably be a problem with shipping then.
Here's a view of the fun goodies inside the bucket....includes mango lipgloss, two mini nail polishes (purple and pink), and a 4  piece manicure set. This set is for sale on my Shophandmade Store (which is very similar to Etsy, but has less fees involved)!  Click -->HERE<-- to go check out my store!

I hope you've enjoyed my gift set!  Make sure you stop back tomorrow because it's WOJ Wednesday and I can't wait to share my project with you!!!

EIO Friday Challenge - Bling It Up!

Today I am hosting the Friday Challenge over at Embellish!  This week's it's all about BLING....sparkles, shimmer, anything that shines or glistens!  Your challenge is to make a card/layout/creation using at least 2 TYPES OF BLING!!!  Click -->here<-- to participate!  I'd love to see what you come up with!

I've again used the Pink Paislee Cupid papers....are you getting sick of seeing them yet?  I absolutely love them...must be because there is pink and brown in the collection...hee hee!  For my bling I have used rhinestones and stickles.  Rhinestones are in the MS border and of course the big rhinestone flower.  Then I went crazy with my star dust stickles and it ended up all over this card....on the flowers, the ruffles on Tilda's dress and hair bows, and along the edge of the sentiment tag. This card is nice and sparkly!!!

Tilda of course was colored with Copics and accented with a white gel pen.  I also used my gel pen to doodle the dots on the scalloped circle...I love how it made the dark brown scallop pop!

I wanted my cherry blossom to match Tilda's dress so I took my Copic ABS and used R20 and R22 to change my white cherry blossom to pink!  Now it's a perfect match!  I do LOVE my ABS!!!!
From this angle you can see all the star dust sparkling away!  You can also see that I embossed the blue panel behind Tilda with my brand new Cuttlebug mini hearts folder!  I can see using this one a lot! Those heart as soooo cute!

I hope you have a wonderful Friday and a great weekend!  I just got my new WOJ City Girls in the mail yesterday so I can't wait to ink them up and play play play all weekend!!!

Tilda waiting for You!

Hi Everyone~

This weekend between homework and income tax class I had some time to color....and today I put a few cards together!  I have a special surprise coming up on Wednesday and can't wait to share it with you...until then.....I have a fun Tilda card to show you....and of course I used my FAVORITE color combo of pink and brown!

I have used Heidi Grace papers that I picked up last year.  These are all shimmery and sparkly.  Of course I finished this card long after dark so I had to use my Ott Lite to take photos....oh how I wish I had sunlight instead!

Miss Tilda was colored with my copics and I added Twinkling H20s for added depth and shimmer.  (Twinkling H2Os: Dress - Pink Crocus; Shirt - Pink Azalea; Canister - Hunter Gray.)  It's hard to tell but I airbrushed the background with RV000 for a very light pink touch.

This week's challenge over at Magnolia Stamp Lovers is to use buttons and bows.  I created this multi-loop bow with my Bow Easy (love that thing...I always had the darndest time trying to tie bows before...not anymore!)  I wanted small heart buttons but of course didn't have what I wanted so I made my own buttons.  I used a heart punch and then just drew button holes on them...they are just what I wanted!

The finished inside I used a tiny canister that matches the  one on the front and filled it with lots of little chocolate hearts.

I'm entering this fun card in the following challenges:
Magnolia Stamp Lovers - Buttons & Bows
Spoonful of Sugar - Freestyle
Just Magnolia - Hearts & Flowers

Magnolia Lovers Challenge 2

I got time to squeek in a little bit of craft time this afternoon after my homework.  Gotta love homework on the first day of class right?!  My professors all seem nice so that is always a plus....hoping I am still saying that in May! LOL!  I took an HR Management class and it's all going to be hands on so that should be lots of fun....no lectures or exams....gotta love that, BUT our grade is based on presentations....Eeekkk....I'm staying positive that it will be fun though....and a new challenge!

The sketch I played with this afternoon is from Magnolia Stamp Lovers....which happens to be a challenge blog of my friend Cindy!  She owns StappingScrapping!  She has lots of goodies...and GREAT customer service.
I dug out my Tilda with Hearts....poor thing has never been ink'd up yet!  So I decided to play with her and show her some love.  I also decided that I wanted to use my sewing machine on this card.  The look I wanted was a soft look because my coloring tends to always have a heavy hand with darker shades then I sometimes am trying to achieve.  I was very pleased with this card and my coloring surprised me...I really liked the softer look.

Papers are from my K&Company Lovely Collection....which I accented with a soft blue cardstock and brighter green cardstock.  Used my Labels 4 and scalloped heart nesties....along with my fancy tags.

Miss. Tilda was colored with my Copics.  I used my Blossom Spica over the hearts for some shimmer.  To add more shimmer to Tilda I used my Twinkling H2Os in Blue Ice and Mustard Green in the shaded areas of her clothes.  I love the depth this added and of course all the bling and sparkles!  (Wish you could see all the shimmer to this card...it's awesome IRL!)

My flower collage is made using my retro flower punch and MS heart punch, along with some Wild Orchid roses and Star Dust Stickles for some more bling!

Sentiment is stamped with my new Verve Hearts Desire set....those cute little hearts are part of the same collection!  I went over the sentiment with my clear Spica to add shimmer to it!

I hope you have enjoyed this fun creation....I have another Tilda waiting to be colored on my desk!  Hoping I get time to play with her and share another fun card with you soon!

Tilda's Mitten

Hello, I hope everyone is doing good!  Today we got some more icky weather...started with freezing rain and ended with snow!  YUCK!  I'm glad I didn't have to go to school today; however, I was stuck studying....my first round of finals begin tomorrow and the last round ends on Thursday....then I will be on crafting time for a whole month!  YAY!  You can't begin to imagine how excited I am!

After studying for almost 9 hours straight today I decided I needed to give my brain a break and color....and my end result is this:

I have been seeing lots of people making cute mitten cards so I thought I would give it a try.  I didn't have a template so I hand drew a mitten.  Then I had to ink up one of my new Tildas!  I wanted a non-traditional colored card so I used my new American Crafts paper.  Added some primas and punched snowflakes...of course had to add star dust stickles to the snowflakes for some glitter...then a cute mitten charm and my card was complete.

Tilda was colored with my Copics, accented with a white gel pen, and then I added Gelly powder to her hat.  I have her sitting on some fun snowflake ribbon.  I'm entering this beauty into the Just Magnolia Challenge this week....which is to create a Christmasy Card!

Make Sure you head on over to Embellish to check out Barb's amazing sales!

Happy Monday Everyone! I hope you all had a fantastic weekend! It was so nice being all done with exams and being able to relax this weekend! I even got to play in my craft corner! Yay!!!

Today I am spotlighting the new Pink Paislee Amber Road Collection available over at Embellish-Online! When I got these papers from Barb I was drooling over them! They are GORGEOUS....so elegant and pretty in person! I decided to use the Just Magnolia sketch for this card! It's actually my Mom's birthday card...and she loved it! :)
I colored Blueberry Tilda from the Yummy for your Tummy Collection with my Copics. Cut her out with my oval nesties and popped her up on a scalloped oval, of course adding some beautiful pearls to a few of the scallops. Added some Heather Flower Soft to Tilda's basket. Flowers are all Primas with American Craft Pearls in the middle. The rhinestone swirls are BG Blingz. I used my Bow Easy to make the delish ribbon bows....seriously the Bow Easy is a MUST have...it makes tieing bows so fast and fun and easy!
