Dancing the Night Away

Do you all have plans for the New Year?  My hubby and I will be celebrating at home, as my hubby has been busy working with no end in sight.  Which is ok with me because I have been studying studying and even more studying this past week.  I take my next CPA exam on Jan. 3rd....eeek!  Hoping to pass this one!  Yesterday I took a couple hours away from my book and decided to color for a bit.
This is my entry for the Color Me Creative - Holiday Color Challenge which was to use Gold, White & Cream!  I had so much fun making this card.....and can you believe I used NO dp?!  I was in awe myself!  I was searching high and low for the perfect gold/cream/white dp and couldn't find what I wanted so I decided to make my own!  The glittlery cream cardstock is from DCWV, and then I found some metallic gold cardstock and finally I made my own dp!  My dp was made using Brilliance Gold Ink, a Sizzix embossing folder and some white cardstock.  And I love how it turned out!  My dp was decorated using my SB Edgeabilities (Classic Ric Rac and Classic Scallops) and finished off with some May Arts Lacey Ribbon.  Sentiment is from PTI Mega Mixed Messages and was embossed using TH Gold Embossing powder.
This cutie is Happy Days by Elisabeth Bell for SCACD and she is a part of the Odds & Ends Sampler.  I love this collection to pieces!  Miss. Happy Days was colored with Copics and accented with my pastel pencils.  Her shoes, sweater cuffs, hair ties, and shirt got a gorgeous coat of Diamond Stickles.  Her belt buckle was accented using my Gold Spica Pen.

Copic Colors Used: skirt/shirt/shoes/belt: YR20, YR24, Y15, Y26, Y28, Jacket: Y21, Y26, Y32, Hair: E33, E53, E57, E59, skin: E000, E00, E11, R11, R20.
Wild Orchid Crafts arrangement was made using a 35mm Trellis Rose, 25mm Wild Rose, 15mm Roses, 10mm Rose, 8mm Semi-opened Roses, Gold Glitter Holly Berries, Gypsophilas, Gold Heart Pin, and Decorative Crown pin.  Flowers were glittered with Diamond Stickles because I love the gold sparkle that this leaves.  And finally the arrangements was finished with some Zva Creative Gold Rhinestone Swirls.
And one more angled view so you can see all the shimmer, glitter, sparkle, and dimension!  I hope you have enjoyed my creation!

Wishing you and your family
a Very Happy New Years!

Challenges I would like to enter:

Peeking In to Say HI!

Hi Everyone~

I hope you are enjoying your week....good news it's the weekend!! YAY!!  I hope you all are controlling your PEEKER FEVER by purchasing your very own The Peeker #2 Collection by Elisabeth Bell for SCACD?!?!  I can tell you that I totally am controlling my fever by creating with this cuties!  Today I am sharing my creation using Secret Garden Peeker!  Make sure you grab a cup of coffee, tea, or hot cocoa, as this post is a bit lengthy....hee hee
Seriously I am soooo in love with all of these adorable Peekers!!!  Miss. Secret Garden Peeker is so cute, I love how she is so shy, but yet wants to hop on over the fence to go and play with her friends!  The papers I have used on this cutie are the gorgeous and oh-so-stunning Kaisercraft Blae & Ivy!  OMG if you haven't ordered yours yet you sooooo need to get this pad...I love the elegance and beauty in each and every sheet in this pad!  And it has to be good if I love it and there is NO pink in it! LOL!  Susana has some AMAZING new 6x6 paper pads in too....you best go and order your favorites now before they are sold out!  Click -->here<-- to go and see what I'm talking about! :)
Sweet Garden Peeker was colored with Copics and accented with my pastel pencil.  I airbrushed the sky around her.
The moment I saw this adorable Peeker I knew that I wanted to make a shaker card with her (Kylie has an amazing tutorial that I followed)!  The scene of this stamp is perfect to add some Green German Glass Glitter (80 Grit) mixed with some Kelly Green German Glass Glitter (100 Grit) ...have you seen the German Glass Glitter that Wild Orchid Crafts carries...oh my word....this stuff take glitter to a WHOLE new level!  The sparkle this glass glitter gives is totally out of this world....so much more sparkly that regular glitter!!!  I'm totally in love!!! WOC carries this is many colors and in medium and fine grit levels...which also mix very well together!t

To make the shaker part of my card:
1.  I cut my colored image out with my Labels 1 Spellbinder Die.
2.  I also cut out a piece of acetate using the same die that I used in step 1.
3.  I took my designer piece of paper and my Square Spellbinder Die and cut out a square. *Make sure that you leave enough edge around the square because you will also be cutting out the Label 1 again over top of the square.*
4.  Now with the same piece of paper that you have from Step 3 with the missing square in the middle, take that Labels 1 die again from step 1 and place the die over the square opening (see I told you that you would be using this piece of paper again :)  When you cut this out it will give you the deisgner paper  frame.
5.  Now Glue/tape (I used scor tape because it holds the best, in my opinion) your acetate piece to the back side of the frame that you just made in step 4.
6.  Now you will place foam tape all the way around the back side edges of the frame, do not leave any gaps. (If you leave gaps then you will have glitter all over when you shake your card.)
7.  Pour your glitter into the middle of your frame on the acetate.
8.  Attach your colored image to the foam tape.
9.  Finally, shake and look at the beauty you just created!

Now back to the contents of the card:
The lace is also from WOC!  This is actually two types of the lace at the store.  The top layer with the blue edging is White Kniting Lace with Baby Blue Edging which is layered on top of some Wide White Guipure Lace.  The bow is created with some gorgeous silk ribbon and my Bow Easy...Gotta love being able to get the perfect bow every time!  The corner was accented using a decorative metal corner...I so love the elegance that these add!
My flower arrangement was made using Wild Orchid flowers that consists of:  25mm Rose, Cherry Blossoms, 15mm Roses, the green 15mm roses are the moss green roses from the classic colour collection (love the beautiful deep color of these!), 5mm closed rosebuds, and Gypsophilas.  The beautiful crochet butterfly is NEW Venise Lace at Wild Orchid...these appliques are stunning!!!  I then added some gorgeous self adhesive pearls to accent this beauty as well as the sentiment on the card (sentiment is from Kraftin Kimmie)!  Foam tape was used to pop up the wings to appear that the butterfly has just landed on the card.
From here you can see all the dimension of the card! :)  I hope you have enjoyed this cutie!  I can't wait to see the beautiful shaker cards you all make now!!!  Please drop by and leave me a link to your shaker card...I'd LOVE to see what you create!

Copic Colors Used: Hair: E11, E15, E25, E29, Skin: E000, E00, E11, E21, Dress: B000, B24, B32, RV09, RV19, Fence: E25, E30, E31, E33, E50, E59, E99, Grass: YG00, YG03, YG67, G14, G21, G99, C6, Flowers: V05

Meet the ultra cute
This is one of the two missing Peeker stamps that hadn't been revealed in the sneak peeks that were going on all week!  When I saw this stamp I totally fell in love.....I love how you can use this stamp for any occasion you are celebrating, whether it be a birthday (as I have used for my card), a confirmation, holiday/Christmas, the possibilities are endless!  Papers are from the My Mind's Eye Lost & Found Madison Avenue collection.  I absolutely adore this paper pad!
What's in the Box Peeker was colored with Copics and cut out using the SB labels 14 die.  While the image was still in the die I airbrushed around the edges to give the image a softer look and that beautiful white crisp edge. The bow of the present has been accented with Illuminate Smooch and Fruit Punch Stickles (on the dots).  The bow of Miss. Peeker's dress and headband have been sparklized with Star Dust Stickles.
The double bow was made using my handy dandy Bow Easy....I love how easy it is to make bows with this tool!  Mini flower arrangement was made with Wild Orchid Crafts flowers that consist of a 8mm semi-opened rose, 5mm closed rosebud, heart pin, and a small sequin butterfly.  The beautiful heart bauble was made using the fabulous and SUPER EASY Epiphany Crafts Heart Punch.  I took some of the stripped paper that I used on the card and hand made a matching accent...that is what I totally love about the Epiphany Crafts tools....you can customized embellies to match your project!
Finally the main flower arrangement was made using more WOC flowers that consist of Gardenias, 20mm Roses, 15mm Roses, Aster Daisies, 6mm closed rosebuds, Tea Rosebuds, Gypsophilas, and finished off with another small sequin butterfly.

Now make sure that you head off to the SCACD Store to order your very own Peeker 2 Collection!!!  For our over the pond friends, you can get your Peeker 2 Collection at Quixotic Paperie!  If you are looking for more inspiration head off to the talented Colleen's Blog!  I know she has something fantastic to share with you all today!

Sneak Peeker - Day 2

Happy Monday Friends!  Thank you to everyone who stopped by and commented on my WOC Christmas in July post...it was so fun reading all of the fun comments from you all, they truly mean so much!!  **Winner of the WOC Candy has been posted below**

Boy oh boy do I have some more fun for you today! Do you remember the adorable Peekers by Elisabeth Bell for SCACD stamps?  I'm sure you fell in love with them as much as I did....well I am so excited to tell you that THE PEEKERS ARE BACK!!!  This collection is as adorable as the first and I know that you are going have to get this whole collection! :)

Release day is July 29 and stamps will be available at SCACD and at Quixotic Paperie for my UK/Europe friends!

PRIZE ALERT: If you leave a comment on my blog today you could win this gorgeous Peeker stamp that I'm previewing!  See the SCACD Blog for full details on the release and prizes that can be won!

I'm excited to introduce to you.....
MAMA'S PURSE PEEKER:
This little doll is rummaging through Mommy's purse and hit the jackpot!  I can see any little girl going through Mom's purse to see what she can find!  Papers are from the fabulous Kaisercraft Chapter One Collection (which happens to be 15% off right now at SCACD)...this is my new favorite paper pad!  LOVE the designs and colors!!!
Of course this little Peeker was colored using Copics and accented with a white gel pen and shaded with my pastel pencil.  The dots on her headband and top of her dress were sparklized with Star Dust Stickles.  The handle of the purse was glittered with my Silver Spica.
Flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and arrangement consists of a 40mm Tea Rose, 25mm Roses, Sweetheart Blossoms, 15mm Rose, Hip Rosebuds, 8mm Semi-opened Rosebuds, 5mm Rosebuds, Rose Leaves, heart pin, and pearl stamens.  Flowers have been sparklized with  Star Dust Stickles. MS punch was used for border and then was accented with self adhesive Rhinestones.
Have you seen the Crystal Gel over at SCACD?  Oh my goodness....I finally got my hands on some of this Viva Crystal Gel and I have to tell you that I am totally in love with this!  To make my corner embellishments I used the Viva Decor Hologram Crystal Gel along with the Medallion Impression Mold.  This was sooooo easy to make, you just smear the crystal gel into your mold and allow the mold to sit for at least 3 hours to dry....I let mine sit over night.  Then you just peel the gel out of the mold after it's dry and it leaves NO MESS!  I LOVE that part!  Once I had my square medallion out of the mold I cut it in half to make this corner embellie!  Pure love and gotta love the easy factor to it too! :)  And a bonus is the lovely sparkle and glitz you get with the hologram crystal gel!!!
For this view you can see all the sparkle and glimmer of this beauty!

So now my question for you is:
DO YOU HAVE PEEKER FEVER?
I do!!!

Make sure you leave a comment for your chance to win this cutie pie!

Stop back tomorrow to see a gift set that I made to go with this card!

Copics Colors Used: Dress: BG11, BG15, BG18, G00, Purse: N1, N3, N5, N7, N10, Silver Spica, Rose: R81, R83, R85, Money: BG93, BG99, G40, YR23, YR28
