Mr. & Mrs. Happily Ever After

Good Morning~ Today I am on my way to my cousin's wedding!  I am so excited....and I love weddings!  Congrats to Jason and Jill!!!  Today I'm going to share with you my wedding card for them:
I decided to ink up another one of my Maggies!  I thought this one would be perfect for the brand new bride and groom!  I've used the sketch over at Just Magnolia...I promise the sketch is there...when making the card I didn't realize that I should have made a 6" card instead of my regular 5 1/2" because the image is so big. Lol! Papers are collection of MME Love Birds Collection and DCWV Natural Collection.
Mr. and Mrs. Loving Couple have been colored with Copics and accented with a white gel pen.  I've airbrushed the background with my Copic ABS.  Twinkling H2O in Heavenly White was used on Tilda's dress and the middle of the roses in her hair....I forgot to get a picture of all the shimmer...it really is beautiful IRL.
Flowers are from the magnificent Wild Orchid Crafts!  Arrangement consists of 2-Tone Red and White 30mm Wild Rose, two 20mm red roses, three 10mm red roses, 4mm closed rosebuds and a red stamen.  All flowers have been sparklized with Star Dust Stickles.
Sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes and has been stamped in Memento Rich Cocoa.  I've added two 3mm pearls from Wild Orchid Crafts to accent the sentiment.
I've even decorated the inside of this card! :)  On the left side of the inside I've made this cute little envelope and left the top unglued so I can slip in my gift of money for the newlyweds!  Scalloped have been blinged out with 5mm pearls!
For the right hand side I've carried through the same papers as the front.  I've used my NEW Marianne Die to cut the swirls and added more 3mm pearls to the swirls.  Sentiment is going to go on the SB Labels 9!  Again I want to wish Jason and Jill a Happily Ever After!

Challenges I'd like to enter:

TIOT #76 - Clean and Simple

Happy Thursday night everyone!  I hope you all had a wonderful day!  YAY tomorrow is Friday...too bad I have to go to a funeral :(  Our best friend's Grandma passed away this week so I will be going to spend some time with him and his family.  Today's card is the card that I made for the family.  It also is my sample for this week's TIO*T* card!!!  Suzanne has challenged us to make a clean and simple card with just white/cream and one extra pop of color....now your image can be multi-colored.  Of course this was a little tough for me as I don't think it's in my blood to make a simple card...hee hee!
For my card I have used the NEW Just For You by Elisabeth Bell exclusively for SCACD that is from the Sampler Edition #5.  This stamp is gorgeous...I absolutely love the swirls on the vase!  This stamp can be perfect for any occasion...birthday, thinking of you, invitation, you name it!  Of course you can see that I've used blue for my pop of color.  I've used a Sizzix embossing folder for the back panel.  Corners were jazzed up with my Viva Decor Light Blue Pearl Pen.
The image was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Neenah Solar White cardstock and then colored with Copics.  I've cut the image out with my Spellbinders Oval die, and the pansy background was made with my MS border punch.  The main image was edged with my Viva Decor Glitter Liner in Hologram.
Flower are from the fabulous Wild Orchid Crafts!  All flowers were white and then I airbrushed them to match the color blue from my cardstock.  I've used 8mm semi-open roses, 10mm roses, and a 30mm wild rose.  All flowers have been accented with Star Dust Stickles.
Finally is another view of the beautiful vase!  From this angle I am hoping that you can see the shimmer to my image.  After coloring with Copics I then went over the image with various Twinkling H2Os to add that shimmer to the image!

I hope you head over to the SCACD Blog to see what amazing creations the other DT members have made!!!  They are all stunning!  I also have a fun tutorial for SCACD coming up soon and you don't want to miss it!

WOJ #73 - Recipe Challenge

Yes it's already Wednesday....WOW how this week is flying by....I'm sure it didn't help that I had an exam in my tax class yesterday....those exam days always seem to creep up and fly by....hope I did ok on this one....the last one didn't go very well.  Eeekkk!

But....on to more cheery matters!  WOW there were lots of great entries for Bev's Sketch challenge last week!  Thanks to all of those who played along with us!  Today over at the WOJ Challenge Blog we have a recipe challenge for you...a little bit of this and a dash of that....just kidding...what you need to use is 1 ribbon, 2 buttons and 3 pattern papers....and of course a WOJ stamp!
I've decided this week I was going to make a bridal shower card....for a special person's shower that I have coming up in a week and a half so I thought I would get it done a head of time (I know...for me that NEVER happens...I'm usually two steps behind instead of ahead!)  The sketch I've used is from Sketch Saturday and as you can see it's another easel card....Gosh I just LOVE these!

Papers are from MM - the Sabrina Collection...I've had them laying around for a while now...I love how they are pink and black!  The wedding color is black then accented with pink...so I carried that through to my card.
I masked Willow with the rose swing and then colored with a few Copics, added Twinkling H2O (Heavenly White) to her veil.  I used Smooch Illuminate to the creases/shadows of her dress and then free-handed the decoration to the bottom of her dress with my Sakura clear pen.  I just love how the bright pink flower soft mixed with the shamrock and christmas green flower soft add such a fun detail!
The sentiment is from the WOJ Wedding Wishes and then I used my MS deep edge punch to get an extra large trellis.  Added my two heart buttons (which I almost forgot...ooopppss) and the shade of pink didn't match so I just grabbed my handy Copic RV25 to make them match!  Gotta LOVE Copics!
Here is the side view so you can see the dimension. I hope you have enjoyed your stay here...make sure to head over to the WOJ Challenge blog so you can see what the other girls have cooked up!

I am also entering this card into the Copic Creations Year Blogaversary Challenge!  One of my favorite tutorials of theirs has been hair color!  I love learning new coloring techniques...thanks ladies for all the inspirations and tips!  Wishing you many more wonderful years at your challenge blog!

And I would like to wish my Gram a VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY!  Sending lots of hugs and kisses to you on this special day! XOXO  I do have my Gram's card done....but she's one of my avid readers so I can't share it with you until after this weekend when I get to hand deliver it to her!  Love you Gram!!!!

Sweet Love

Today I have some AMAZING news to share with you!  It all began this past Saturday....I was in a tax class for 5 hours getting certified so that I can prepare income taxes this tax season.  I will be working with lower income people through a program known as VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance)...I'm so excited to start assisting and help those people who need it, and what a great experience it will be.....but that's not the good news!  As I was sitting in class, bored during the beginning of the session because it was all the info I learned in my last semester tax class, I got a message from Donalda asking me if I would:
Guest Design for the month of February
I didn't even have to think for a second.....my answer of course was a HUGE YES!!!  Thank you so very much Donalda for asking me to join your amazing team for this month!!!!  I am honored to be a part of this super talented team of amazing ladies!!!

Without further ado here is my first card as a part of the WOJ Challenge DT!

Our challenge this week is LOVE!  We want to see your creation with love!  I chose to use Sweet Teenage Lizzie with box of chocolates.  The sketch is based on Sketch Saturday which I flipped upside down. Papers are an older Basic Grey collection called Eva.

Lizzie was colored with my Copics.  I added Twinkling H2Os in the shaded areas for some more depth and of course to add shimmer. :)

The inside is decorated with some more BG Eva papers, hearts, and mini pearls inside the hearts for some added elegance.

And here is another angled view so you can see the shimmer from the Twinkling H2Os! I hope you have enjoyed my first creation for the WOJ Challenge Blog!  I hope you come over and join in the fun there and see what the other amazing girls have created!

Tilda waiting for You!

Hi Everyone~

This weekend between homework and income tax class I had some time to color....and today I put a few cards together!  I have a special surprise coming up on Wednesday and can't wait to share it with you...until then.....I have a fun Tilda card to show you....and of course I used my FAVORITE color combo of pink and brown!

I have used Heidi Grace papers that I picked up last year.  These are all shimmery and sparkly.  Of course I finished this card long after dark so I had to use my Ott Lite to take photos....oh how I wish I had sunlight instead!

Miss Tilda was colored with my copics and I added Twinkling H20s for added depth and shimmer.  (Twinkling H2Os: Dress - Pink Crocus; Shirt - Pink Azalea; Canister - Hunter Gray.)  It's hard to tell but I airbrushed the background with RV000 for a very light pink touch.

This week's challenge over at Magnolia Stamp Lovers is to use buttons and bows.  I created this multi-loop bow with my Bow Easy (love that thing...I always had the darndest time trying to tie bows before...not anymore!)  I wanted small heart buttons but of course didn't have what I wanted so I made my own buttons.  I used a heart punch and then just drew button holes on them...they are just what I wanted!

The finished inside I used a tiny canister that matches the  one on the front and filled it with lots of little chocolate hearts.

I'm entering this fun card in the following challenges:
Magnolia Stamp Lovers - Buttons & Bows
Spoonful of Sugar - Freestyle
Just Magnolia - Hearts & Flowers

Recipe:

Magnolia Lovers Challenge 2

I got time to squeek in a little bit of craft time this afternoon after my homework.  Gotta love homework on the first day of class right?!  My professors all seem nice so that is always a plus....hoping I am still saying that in May! LOL!  I took an HR Management class and it's all going to be hands on so that should be lots of fun....no lectures or exams....gotta love that, BUT our grade is based on presentations....Eeekkk....I'm staying positive that it will be fun though....and a new challenge!

The sketch I played with this afternoon is from Magnolia Stamp Lovers....which happens to be a challenge blog of my friend Cindy!  She owns StappingScrapping!  She has lots of goodies...and GREAT customer service.
I dug out my Tilda with Hearts....poor thing has never been ink'd up yet!  So I decided to play with her and show her some love.  I also decided that I wanted to use my sewing machine on this card.  The look I wanted was a soft look because my coloring tends to always have a heavy hand with darker shades then I sometimes am trying to achieve.  I was very pleased with this card and my coloring surprised me...I really liked the softer look.

Papers are from my K&Company Lovely Collection....which I accented with a soft blue cardstock and brighter green cardstock.  Used my Labels 4 and scalloped heart nesties....along with my fancy tags.

Miss. Tilda was colored with my Copics.  I used my Blossom Spica over the hearts for some shimmer.  To add more shimmer to Tilda I used my Twinkling H2Os in Blue Ice and Mustard Green in the shaded areas of her clothes.  I love the depth this added and of course all the bling and sparkles!  (Wish you could see all the shimmer to this card...it's awesome IRL!)

My flower collage is made using my retro flower punch and MS heart punch, along with some Wild Orchid roses and Star Dust Stickles for some more bling!

Sentiment is stamped with my new Verve Hearts Desire set....those cute little hearts are part of the same collection!  I went over the sentiment with my clear Spica to add shimmer to it!

I hope you have enjoyed this fun creation....I have another Tilda waiting to be colored on my desk!  Hoping I get time to play with her and share another fun card with you soon!

Recipe:
Stamps: Tilda with Hearts (Magnolia), Hearts Desire (Verve), Swirls (Hero Arts),
Inks: Copics, Spicas, VersaColor in Raspberry, Versamark DazzleMemento Tuxedo Black

Papers: K&Company Lovely Collection
Tools: Spellbinders - Scallop Hearts, Labels 4, Fancy Tags; Retro flower punch; MS - Heart, Branch, Leaf punches, McGill Heart punch, Marvy Heart punch

New ISS and Cosmo Cricket!

Happy Monday! I hope everyone's week is off to a great start! My Monday was a crazy day! This past weekend was our town's craft fair so I of course had a booth and sold some of my projects! I have another craft fair coming up this Saturday, and hope that my sales increase! :) Today was crazy as I first had to get caught up on laundry (which means going to the in-laws house for the day), then I have 3 exams this week so it was study between loads of laundry....and I had to finish my card to share with you today! I finally got home now so I could upload my pictures to share my creation with you! Then it's back to studying and doing homework....I'd much rather be online blogging though! ;)

Meet Snowman Chick! She's a newbie over at InStyle Stamps! I think she is as cute as a button and knew I had to use her with my Cosmo Cricket Jolly by Golly paper pack from over at Embellish! These papers are delish!!! If you don't have them, they are a total must have in my book, although I think by now everyone knows that I am a paper addict and I think all papers are a must have! Hee hee! This specific pack is so adorable though! Very fun and festive!

Today is also the sketch challenge over at Club Anime so I used Melissa's great sketch for my card! Again, I am so in love with these papers from Cosmo Cricket.

I used my Spellbinders Create A Flake 1 dies to create these beauty! I also used my Twinklets for the very first time and I have to say I love this product! The crystal look that they give is amazing and makes your paper look exactly like a snowflake! So what do you think?
I used my Copics to color my image, and then went over the Snowman with my Twinkling H2O in Icicles to give him some shimmer. I hope you like how this card turned out!

Now on to my card that I promised you earlier today! With the I Love Snow set I have made a snowglobe, complete with shaking snow inside. I have used my circle and scallop circle nesties to create the snowglobe. Mr. Snowman was colored with my Copics and Twinkling H2Os.

Here's a close up of the cutie pie snowman from the set! Isn't he adorable? The stamped snowflakes inside the snowglobe and the white snowflakes on the dark blue scallop are also a part of this fantastic set! The white snowflakes on the dark blue scallop are stamped in White Staz-On and then I used my Clear Spica to color over them to give them some sparkle.
Here you can see the MS chunky snow and glitter inside.
I used some DCWV glittered white paper and my MS punch to make the bigger snowflakes. Then I used the same paper and punch smaller snowflakes, then colored them with Azure Smooch. Stamps and Smiles - Preview Day 3

Hi Friends~

Welcome to Day 3 of the Stamps and Smiles Fall/Winter Release! Today we are showing you the Tis' the Season to be Jolly set! I adore Jolly the snowman; however Jolly is missing today! Can you help us find him? Please check the other DT members blogs, and when you find Jolly, head to the Stamps and Smiles blog, leave a comment with the answer and sign in with Mr. Linky! You can win this AMAZING set for helping us find our new friend!

No, he's not hiding here! Keep looking!

Now, on to my card for today. I decided to use Jolly and added a scarf and hat to keep her warm in the snow. The sentiment is also from the set! I wanted to make a winter card that didn't use the traditional winter/christmas colors and I love how this came out!

Jolly was colored with my Copics. Dp is the K & Company Peppermint Twist. I used my Spellbinders curved rectangles to make a tag for Jolly be popped up on. Border punch in the background is the Apron Lace Fiskars punch. Snowflakes are punched with MS punch and Marvy small snowflake. The bow was tied with my Bow Easy...this tool is a must have, so easy to use and you get a perfect bow everytime!

Here's a close up of Jolly. I used liquid applique on her hat for the fluffy look, and use the new polar white flower soft. Oh my word is the polar white flower soft beautiful IRL! It's the perfect look for snow!

On top of the Copic coloring, I have also used Twinkling H2O in oyster to add a soft shimmer to Jolly. Here's a close up to see the shimmer:
