WOJ #94 - My Sketch

Happy Wednesday Friends....as you are reading this I will be getting geared up for my advertising presentation that is today!  Oh how I dislike presentations!!  But after it's done that means only 2 more finals exams to go!  YIPPY!!!  I hear Friday...it must be almost here!  LOL!

It's another Whiff of Joy Challenge day today!  Yay!  Our challenge this week is to use my sketch!  I had so much fun designing this sketch and hope you all enjoy it!  However, I also have some sad news to share.  This is going to be my last challenge with the WOJ Challenge DT.  I have decided to step down from the DT as I will be starting a new chapter in my life with my internship.  I definitely have enjoyed my time being on this DT with such fabulous and talented ladies....you all are amazing!  I hope to still have time to be able to play along with the challenges now and again!  :)

Now onto my card:
I have used the Winter Love Birds stamp for my card today!  It's hard to believe this is the first time that I inked this poor stamp up!  These two are so adorable!!!  Papers are from the Bo Bunny Midnight Frost collection...oh my goodness is this pad absolutely stunning..it was hard for me to layer the papers because I didn't want to cover up any of the beauty on any of the pages! lol!  I've used some felt snowflake ribbon for my accent and then punched a blue snowflake strip with my MS punch that I got from my fabulous friend :0)
And here is my sketch!  I hope you all like it and play along with us for this challenge! :)
These cute birdies were colored with Copics and then I airbrushed the sky around them.  The branch was decked out with liquid applique that I sprinkled with glamour dust before I heat set it....it gave my snow such a beautiful sparkle.  Then I applied little dots of glue around my image and used my Polar White Flower Soft (which is currently 15% off over at SCACD!) to make it look like the birdies are snuggling together in the snow!  Image has been cut out with my SB Oval Nesties and the blue layer was sparklized with Star Dust Stickles and then that layer was popped up onto my Marianne Die.
Flower are from the fabulous Wild Orchid Crafts and consist of a curly wild rose, 15mm roses that were layered on padded silver snowflakes and then white stamens were added for an accent.
From this view I am hoping to share all the lovely dimension of this card.  Thank you again to the WOJ DT for being such a wonderful group of ladies...I am going to miss you all!

WOJ #92 - Tara's Sketch

Happy Wednesday....well we are half way through the week and that means the weekend is getting closer!  Woo-Hoo!  I am excited for this weekend....as my "adopted brother" (who is my brother's best freind) recently bought a house so we are going to celebrate at his housewarming party!  And then I am planning on crafting the rest of the weekend away getting ready for another craft show that I will have a booth in the Saturday after Thanksgiving!  Which reminds me I still have to share pictures of my booth with you all! :)

Today is another WOJ Challenge Wednesday!  Yay this week we have a WONDERFUL sketch by my amazing freind Tara for you to play along with!  Love the sketch T, it's so much fun to work with!!!  We do have some sad news to share with you from the WOJ Challenge DT....This week is my good buddy Tara's last challenge with us as she has decided to step down from DT.  I'm going to miss you SOOOO MUCH Tara...and wish you all the best hun!  With Tara's decision to step down from the DT we have decided to hold a DT Call this challenge.....Please check the WOJ Challenge page for all the details.
For my card this week I've decided to use a cutie from last years Winter Stamp Set.  Isn't she a doll?!  I absolutely love her and her innocence!  Papers are from the Cosmo Cricket Mitten Weather collection, I love how this pad has bold colors as well as subtle soft colors too!  Lace is from Wild Orchid Crafts and is the Guipure Lace....absolutely LOVE this one, again it adds to the elegance of the card.  I've taken my narrow purple MS ribbon and wove it into the lace, and then used my Bow Easy to create the bow! :)  For the background edging I've used my new MS ATP holly punch!  Love this punch!
My image was colored with Copics and accented with a white gel pen.  I've used my SB Labels 14 to cut her out and then edged the label with Star Dust Stickles.
Flower arrangement consists mainly of WOC flowers.  Hydrangeas are Prima....BUT Wild Orchid Crafts is now carrying Hydrangea flowers in an assortment of colors...you can find there -->here<--!  YAY!!!  Finishing off the arrangement is 15mm roses, Padded Snowflakes, and 15mm Rose Leaves
Now make sure you head to the WOJ Challenge to see Tara's amazing sketch and to play along with us!

WOJ #91 - Christmas Card

Good Morning~ Sorry my post is going up a little late!  I had a terrible migraine yesterday.  Today is Whiff of Joy Challenge day and our challenge for you is to make a Christmas card.  I decided to make a Christmas notepad holder.
I've used Wee and Christmas Tree.  Papers are from K&Company.
Wee has been colored colored with Copics and accented with a white gel pen.  Gemstones were added to the Christmas tree to represent the ornaments and Lemon Spica was used on the star for the glittery effect.
Here is the inside of the notepad holder that has been decorated as well.  Sorry this is so short...I'm on my way out the door for school! Only one more day of classes this week....but then I have to get ready for two craft shows that I have a booth in on this Saturday and Sunday!

Make sure you head over to the Whiff of Joy Challenge to check out the amazing samples by the other girls!

WOJ #90 - Distressing

Happy Whiff of Joy Challenge Wednesday!  This week we have a fun challenge for you....it's all about DISTRESSING!  So start ripping your paper, inking it up and getting dirty, I can't wait to see what you all make!
For my card I've used my Fall Willow Holding Baby Turkey stamp, which is from the Fall 2009 collection.  Papers are from the K&Company Classic K Bailey Collection and have been distressed with my Distress-It-All machine which makes distressing super easy and super fast!  Then I added Antique Linen Crackle paint to the paper edges for an vintage look.
Willow was colored with Copics and accented with a white gel pen and Sakura star dust pen.  The turkey has been glittered with my TonerTex pen and glitters, I've used a mixture of the red and orange glitters.  The fall edge was stamped with a Hero Arts stamp and then I used my Viva Decor Bronze Glitter Liner to glitz up the leaves.  I've also used my Viva Decor Cream Pearl Pen (Susana of SCACD has recently reduced the prices of ALL the Viva Decor Pearl Pens so make sure you go and get a few!!!)  to accent the SB Lacey Square.  The green tag has also been glammed up with my TonerTex pen and Bronze Foil.
Flowers are from the wonderful Wild Orchid Crafts.  Arrangement consists of 35mm Wild Rose, Cherry Blossoms, 15mm roses, 10mm roses, 8mm semi-open roses, and a pearl hat pin.
From this view I am hoping you can see all the shimmer and sparkle to my card!  From the shine from the TonerTex Foil on the tag, to the Glitter Liner on the leaves, and sparkle on Willow's pants from the star dust pen.  All flowers have been spritzed with Maya Mist in Iridescent Pearl.

Make sure you head over to the WOJ Challenge Blog to see what the other girls have created!

WOJ #89 - Sketch Challenge

Happy Wednesday Everyone! I hope your week is going wonderfully....mine is a little bit stressful....but it's a GOOD stressful!  As some of you already know I am busy interviewing for a full-time accountant job for next fall!  I've already had two interviews and the third one is this afternoon.  I am praying and crossing my fingers that I get offered a full-time position at the firm that I really really really want to work at!

Now...onto some crafty business....Today is a new challenge over at the Whiff of Joy Challenge Blog!  Our challenge this time is a sketch challenge by the wonderful Jane!  Such a fun sketch to play with I do hope that you all play along for this challenge!!! :)
I have decided to use Wee and Stocking for this card!   I've been trying to get into the christmas mode so I don't fall behind on my christmas cards! Papers are from the Fabulous Cosmo Cricket Mitten Weather Mini Deck.  This collection of papers is so much fun....from very traditional to very contemporary, and then even a few papers that can be used for ANY occasion!  Gotta love that for variety!

Wee has been colored with Copics and accented with a white gel pen.  I've used white flock on the trim of the stocking to some extra texture!  Image is then popped up onto a SB beaded oval...I think this is one of my ultimate favorite SB dies!  I then took Platinum Stickles and added it to each bead around the oval for some extra sparkle!

Flowers of course ;) are from the fantastic Wild Orchid Crafts!  Arrangement consists of a Red Curly Wild Rose, Olive Cherry Blossoms, and red crystal drops.  Flowers were sparkalized with Platinum Stickles too!

I hope you've enjoyed my holiday card, now make sure you head over to the WOJ Challenge Blog to see what the other girls have made!  And I want to take a minute to thank Paula for being such a wonderful Guest Designer over at the challenge blog!  You are so sweet hun and will be greatly missed! :)

WOJ #88 - A Special Thank You

Happy Wednesday~

Are you ready for another Whiff of Joy Challenge?  This week we are celebrating a very special milestone over at the WOJ Challenge Blog....it's our TWO YEAR ANNIVERSARY!!!!  And seeing how we wouldn't have a wonderful challenge blog without our Whiff of Joy stamps.....this challenge we are devoting to a Special Thank You Challenge!  We would love to thank Whiff of Joy, Katharina (owner of WOJ), Simon Says Stamp, present and past DT members, and most importantly you our followers and participants because without all of you we wouldn't have this fun challenge blog!
I've used one of my favorite WOJ stamps, Willow with Hot Chocolate.  Papers are from the TH Vintage Shabby Collection.  Sentiment is from MFT.  I also got to use my new Magnolia Doohicky Dies on this beauty!

Willow was colored with Copics and accented with a white gel pen.  She was cut out with a SB Labels 14 and then the background has been airbrushed with B000, B01, W1, W3, and W5.  The label was then popped up onto my Marianne Frame Die
Flowers are all from Wild Orchid Crafts.  Arrangement 1 consists of a 25mm Rose, Cherry Blossoms, 15mm rose, and pink crystal stems.  Flowers were accented with Star Dust Stickles.
Arrangement 2 consists of 4mm closed rosebuds, 5mm closed rosebud, Gypsophila Stem, pearl sprays, pearl stars.  The bow was made with my Bow Easy, I just love the double sided ribbon.
Here is an angled view of Willow.  Here you can see the Star Dust Stickles that I have used on her shirt, pocket, and flowers on her jeans.  You also can see the Diamond Glaze that I added over her mug to make it appear more real.

WOJ #87 - Layers

Hello Friends~ WOW it's Wednesday already...the week is just flying by, isn't it?!  It's Whiff of Joy Challenge day!  Woo-Hoo!  Today our fun challenge for you is to USE LAYERS, you must use at least 4 layers on your card for this week's challenge!  I have actually used 5 layers on my card! :)
This is the first Christmas card of the year that I have made...thought I should kick it in gear, seeing how last year I ran out of time! lol!  This cutie is a Norma Fickle Gnome named Uru and Candy Cane.  Papers are from Memory Box Mistletoe Collection....these are all so gorgeous, such a wonderful array of Christmas papers! Edges of the layers have been distressed with my Distress-It-All and then blinged up with Diamond Stickles.
Miss. Uru has been Copics and accented with a white gel pen.  She was cut out and then popped up on top of a SB Labels 14.  The red dots on her dress were glitterized with the fabulous TonerTex Pen and Glitters. If you haven't gotten your TonerTex set yet what are you waiting for.....this pen is so amazing and makes adding glitter SO MUCH EASIER...you don't waste hardly any glitter.  I don't know about you but with regular glue and glitter I waste so much of the glitter.  :(  This product totally took care of that problem! :)  Plus the pen can be used with the fabulous Foils too!
The Poinsettia Flowers are from the wonderful Wild Orchid Crafts!  Oh my goodness are these perfect for Christmas cards.  They come with a yellow stamen center, however I took my flowers apart and used my Twinklets to bling them up.  Then put them back together and used my Pearl Stamens in the center instead.
Here are the smaller two Poinsettias that been given the same treatment as the large one above!

I can't wait to see what you create with this week's challenge!  I'm off to school right now....get to learn more Accounting and then have my Advertising class today!  It's so nice have the 5 classes spread over 4 days....even though that means more driving to school.

One quick question before I leave.  I'm sure you've noticed that I haven't been adding the recipe to the end of my posts....I'm wondering how many people would like me to bring the recipe section back to my blog?  Does it help...or would you rather me just post the products in the post where the pictures are?  Thanks in advance for the feedback....I want to do what makes my readers happy! :)

WOJ #86 - Jane's Sketch

**WOW...I sure have a busy blog this week....another double post day today please scroll down for my Stamps and Smiles New Release Day 3 Preview post!  There is a FREE DIGI IMAGE available so make sure you check out that post!!!**

Hi Whiff of Joy Friends!  How are you all doing this lovely Wednesday...wow another two weeks have come and gone...where does the time go?!  Before I know it I will be back in classes....NOOOO can't I stay and craft all day? hee hee!

Before we get to this fortnight's challenge we have some sad DT news over at the WOJ Challenge Blog. Unfortunately, both our beloved team members, Donalda and Jacqui, have decided to step down from their positions with the team. You both are going to be missed extremely!  You both have been a HUGE inspiration to me and got me to where I am today and are such amazing friends!!!  Thanks so much to both of you!!!

Now onto our new challenge which is a sketch by our beloved Jane!  This week you have a chance to win a gift certificate of $25 to Simon Says Stamp thanks to Heidi!

Here's my take on Jane's Sketch....sorry hun, I added a few more layers in there...my fingers wouldn't stop!
I've used Willow with Coffee to Go for my card.  I can't believe I haven't colored her until now...she's definitely one of my favorites...although I like to think she is drinking chai as that is my FAVORITE drink...have to have me a cup every day...sometimes two!  (*Wink* to my friends Jennifer and Jennifer....at CHA I got them hooked on Tazo Chai too!!!  Love you two!) For my card, I went again with a vintage feel...I am really liking the vintage/shabby chic look!  Papers are from the Basic Grey Green at Heart Collection and have all been distressed with TH Tea Dye ink.  My Distress-It-All was used to distress the edges of the dp!  Love that thing makes distressing sooooo easy...although my hubby says "Gee that's a loud tool you got there!"  Like his tools in the garage aren't loud!  Geesh!

Here's Jane's Sketch.  As you can tell I did go a bit askew by throwing in a few more elements and swapping the Circle for an Oval.
Willow was colored with Copics and accented with a white gel pen.  I've added Diamond Glaze to her sunglasses for the gloss look.  My Viva Decor Rose Paper Pen was used to create the pearls on her bracelet.  Image was cut out with my SB Mega Ovals and popped up on a SB Mega Scalloped Oval.  3mm Spice self-adhesive pearls (from Wild Orchid Crafts) were used to accent my scalloped oval.  To finish off the image I used my stampabilities stamp to create the border around Miss. Willow.  For the heart....I took an already pink dolie heart and spritz it first with Cotton Candy Shimmerz Spritz (that's 25%off -->HERE<--) and after that dried I then spritzed it with Tattered Angels Bronze Glimmer Mist for more of an antique feel.

Of course we can't make a card without using some amazing Wild Orchid Craft flowers! :)  I went with the two tone champagne-pink look for this flower arrangement and used a flat Gardenia, two 30mm Wild Roses, and two 15mm roses.

Now make sure you head over to the WOJ Challenge to see what the other DT members have made! :)

WOJ #85 - Doorhanger

Good Morning~

How are you all doing this lovely Wednesday?  Thanks for all the well wishes yesterday...my group presentation went wonderfully...and now I am ALL DONE with summer classes....and have 3 weeks off until fall classes begin! YAY!  I'm going to craft my time away!

I hope you are ready for another WOJ Wednesday...thanks for all of the lovely enteries this past week....you all rocked the fuzz challenge!  This fortnight's challenge at the WOJ Challenge Blog is to create a doorhanger!
My doorhanger can be used for any girl's room, baby room, or for your very own craft room!  I have used my ultimate favorite WOJ stamp, Melinda Blowing Kisses.  This was my very first WOJ stamp purchase so she really is near and dear to my heart plus she is so darn cute!  Papers are from DCWV Luxury Collection and MME.   The bow was made with my fantastic Bow Easy.
Melinda has been colored with Copics and cut out with SB Labels 10.  The background has been airbrushed with my Copic ABS.  There has been Silver Spica pen used along the swirls on Melinda's pants and belt buckle.  Star Dust Stickles has been used on her wings, and Illuminate Smooch has been used on the flowers on her pants, all the hearts, and the dots on her shirt.
Swirls have been altered with my VIVA Decor Ice White Pearl pen.  I made custom size pearls to fit perfectly on my swirls.  This girl LOVES VIVA!!!!
Flower arrangement has been created with flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts which consist of a Flat Gardenia, Cherry Blossoms, 10mm white with baby pink center roses (which were then airbrushed to add the blue), White Gypsophila flowers, 4mm closed Rosebuds, and Pink Crystal Chandeliers.  All flowers have been glitterized with Star Dust Stickles.

Make sure you head over to the WOJ Challenge Blog  to check out the other DT samples...there certainly are numerous stamps that work for a doorhanger as you will see over there! :)

WOJ #84 - Fuzz It

Hello Everyone~

Hope you are having a wonderful week so far!  CHA has been awesome...got a migraine at the end of day one so that hasn't been the greatest...hoping the headache goes away REAL fast!  This week at WOJ Challenge Blog Donalda has put together a very fun challenge!  This week is to FUZZ your projects!  This can be felt, flower soft, flock, anything fuzzy!
For my card I have used this new cutie from the Summer Store Stamp Kit.  I absolutely love this cutie!  I paired her up with some Cosmo Cricket DeLovely papers.  The edge of my papers have been stickalized with star dust stickles.
Of course the image of this bathing beauty and the starfish were colored with Copics.  I've tried coloring her with darker "skin" colors to make it look like she got a tan.  Then, I've used Silver Spica on her sunglasses and then coated the lenses with diamond glaze for a more realistic "sunglass" look.  For my Fuzz I have added ultra fine flower soft in sand to parts of the beach, and then I took white flock and created some white puffy clouds in my airbrushed sky.  The beach scene was created with my Copic ABS.
Flower are from the famous, Wild Orchid Crafts.  This first arrangement uses the Daffodils and 6mm closed rosebuds.
The bottom arrangement was made with 35mm Large 2-colored Wild Rose, another Daffodil, and some 15mm yellow roses that I took my Copic ABS and airbrushed to match the large wild rose being 2 colors.
Finally here is another view so that you can see the "fuzz" on my project better.

**BLOG CANDY UPDATE: Don't forget about the candy that Susana has running over at the SCACD blog!**
