WOJ #89 - Sketch Challenge

Happy Wednesday Everyone! I hope your week is going wonderfully....mine is a little bit stressful....but it's a GOOD stressful!  As some of you already know I am busy interviewing for a full-time accountant job for next fall!  I've already had two interviews and the third one is this afternoon.  I am praying and crossing my fingers that I get offered a full-time position at the firm that I really really really want to work at!

Now...onto some crafty business....Today is a new challenge over at the Whiff of Joy Challenge Blog!  Our challenge this time is a sketch challenge by the wonderful Jane!  Such a fun sketch to play with I do hope that you all play along for this challenge!!! :)
I have decided to use Wee and Stocking for this card!   I've been trying to get into the christmas mode so I don't fall behind on my christmas cards! Papers are from the Fabulous Cosmo Cricket Mitten Weather Mini Deck.  This collection of papers is so much fun....from very traditional to very contemporary, and then even a few papers that can be used for ANY occasion!  Gotta love that for variety!

Wee has been colored with Copics and accented with a white gel pen.  I've used white flock on the trim of the stocking to some extra texture!  Image is then popped up onto a SB beaded oval...I think this is one of my ultimate favorite SB dies!  I then took Platinum Stickles and added it to each bead around the oval for some extra sparkle!

Flowers of course ;) are from the fantastic Wild Orchid Crafts!  Arrangement consists of a Red Curly Wild Rose, Olive Cherry Blossoms, and red crystal drops.  Flowers were sparkalized with Platinum Stickles too!

I hope you've enjoyed my holiday card, now make sure you head over to the WOJ Challenge Blog to see what the other girls have made!  And I want to take a minute to thank Paula for being such a wonderful Guest Designer over at the challenge blog!  You are so sweet hun and will be greatly missed! :)

TIOT 84 - Anything But a Square

Happy Weekend!

I hope you are having some fun this weekend!  WOW another week of school has gone by!  This semester sure is flying by....must be because I am really enjoying my classes!  However, with a busy week full of homework means not a lot of crafty time. :(  I did finally get my TIO*T* card done for this week! YAY!  Suzanne has challenged us to create a card that is ANYTHING BUT A SQUARE!  Oh I love making fun shaped easel cards!!!  So I grabbed my SB Labels 11 and went to work!
The cutie on this card is one of the new Animapeeps from the newest Elisabeth Bell for SCACD collection....her name is Just Ducky.  Speaking on NEW....I have a bunch of NEW goodies on this card!  The wonderful papers are from the Cosmo Cricket Mitten Weather collection.  These papers are so beautiful....there are gorgeous holiday papers in here as well as papers that can be used for any occasion, like those that I've used on this card.  And my FAVORITE new tool  that I have used on this card is the Epiphany Crafts flower button maker!  See those oh so cute flower buttons....I made them myself with the papers from the Mitten Weather Cosmo Cricket collection!  I love how easy it was to make buttons that matched my project perfectly!  These makers are a dream to use, SUPER easy, and MEGA fun!  I think it took me less than 2 minutes to make both customized buttons!  You seriously need to get one of these!  I can't wait to use my solid round one now! :)
Isn't Just Ducky so adorable?  She seriously is a dream to color!  I've colored her with Copics and and then accented her with my TonerTex Pen and have used Diamond Glaze on her eyes.  I've used the TonerTex pen and Glitters on her hair bow and boots.  Then this sweetie's umbrella was accented using the TonerTex pen and Foils.  Love the holographic foils, they are so gorgeous!  Here you can see a close up of the Epiphany button too!
The bottom of the card holds a sentiment so this card can be used for any occasion, and again showcases the Epiphany button!
Finally, a side view to share the dimension and shine with you.  The umbrella has been double popped up so that it sits higher than Just Ducky.  I hope you have enjoyed my Anything But a Square card, make sure you head over to the SCACD Blog to see what my DT Sisters have made!  I hope you come back soon, as I have some more goodies to share with you soon!

Stamps and Smiles Release - Day 3

Hello SAS Friends!! Thanks for stopping by!  If this is the first time you are stopping by, we are on day 3 of our stamp release. We have 10 BRAND NEW STAMP SETS, with 2 NEW sets being revealed each day this week!

So are you ready for Day 3 previews?  I absolutely love all of the new sets but these two sets today are near and dear as I am a total flower girl....even though I can't grow or keep flowers alive to save my life...but I love how beautiful they are!  Today we are sharing Martha Flower Set and Rose Flower Set!

First I will share my sample of Martha with you:
This card was made with the help of a VERY SPECIAL Girl!  During CHA, I got to stay with Jennifer (the owner of Stamps and Smiles) and her family (thanks again hun!!!)....and while I was there we of course had crafty time.....Jennifer's daughter Hannah helped me create this card!  I had her pick the colors she wanted me to use...she wanted PINK, ORANGE, and YELLOW!  So that's the story behind this card and how I ended up with a very colorful Martha...and I have to say I LOVE the color combo!!!!  Thanks so much Hannah for the wonderful help hun...you are the BEST!!!  Papers are from the Cosmo Cricket DeLovely collection.  Corners were accented with my Viva Decor Ice White Pearl Pen.
Martha was colored with Copics and accented with a white gel pen!  She was cut out with a SB circle and layered on a SB scalloped circle.  Diamond Stickles was added to the main flower on Martha.
These flowers were made using the scalloped circle punch and then accented with more Diamond Stickles!  On the orange flower I used only cardstock, and on the pink flower I used a mix of cardstock and dp.
Here you can see the 3D of the orange flower and Martha's hair that has been popped up.  Diamond Glaze was added to Martha's eyes for some shine.
Here is Miss. Hannah....isn't she the cutest!!!  I surprised Hannah and when we were done and told her she could keep Martha. :)  She was all excited and I was so happy she liked it!

Now onto the Rose Flower Set:
For this set I decided to make a sweet gift set.  Don't you just love the sweet basket?  (Thanks to my dear friend Suzanne for her inspiration!!  I adore this girl!!!)  Papers are from MME Home Collection.
Here you can see the card closer.  The pendant that Rose was popped up on is a felt pendant that I got on one of my trips to Michaels.  I saw it sitting in my supply bin and thought that it would make an awesome background for this beautiful flower girl!
Miss. Rose was colored with Copics and accented with a white gel pen.  Then I took Glamour Dust and and edged the petals for lots of sparkle!
Flowers are Primas consisting of Pink Mini Roses and Hydrangeas.
From this angle you can see the sparkle of the Glamour Dust and the Diamond Glaze that's one Rose's eyes.
Then we have this cute basket.  This was made using the same flower stamp sets!  I love all the sentiments that you get with these sets....you can use the flower girls for any type of card!
The top view.
Yep, the basket opens for you to put goodies or a gift card in for someone!  I hope you have enjoyed my samples with today's fun new flower sets!

Here you can see the full stamp sets:

Make A Mess Monday #2 - Chipboard

Good Morning Everyone~

I hope you are doing wonderful this Monday!  I am still trying to get caught up on rest since CHA...and back to my normal schedule!  lol!  I'm hoping to get my photos in slideshows today so I can start sharing the CHA products with you!

Today's the 1st Monday of the month so that means it's MAKE A MESS MONDAY over at SCACD!  Marti has a fabulous challenge for us....it's to use Chipboard!!!  This post is a little late...I usually schedule my posts to go live early in the AM; however, I just finished my projects late last night and they were drying so I had to wait until this morning to get pictures of them....and I got to sleep in this morning so that's why I'm late.  Sorry!  I hope it was worth the wait!  For my chipboard samples I have used loads of Viva products!
For my first sample I have used Aurora Out on the Town from the Aurora 2 Collection by Victoria Case for SCACD.  Papers are from DCWV and Cosmo Cricket.  I love the yellow and blue combination for this beauty!
Aurora has been stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copics and accented with my white gel pen.  Instead of using my W3 for the shadows within the image colors I have used C3 to give the shadows more of a blue hue.
And now for the Chipboard decorations!  I've taken a chipboard swirl and then grabbed my VIVA Decor Steel Blue Inka Gold.  I dipped my finger into the Viva and then just smeared it over the chipboard.  It hardly took any Viva to cover this swirl and the finished look is so metallic and shiny!  I just love this stuff! If you don't have any you really should get some!!! It's absolutely amazing and is easy to clean off of your hands...just use soap and water!  To see a video Marti has put together showing the Inka Gold products, click -->HERE<--!  The chipboard was finally decorated with some roses from Wild Orchid Crafts which consist of a yellow 20mm Rose, and two blue 15mm roses.  The roses have been glitzed with Star Dust Stickles.
The butterflies have also been decked out with my Viva Decor Ice White Pearl Pen, and I was able to get the exact pearl size that I needed.  As you know I absolutely LOVE these pens!
Here is another view of the Viva Decor Inka Gold in the sunlight so you can see the metallic hue that this product gives off.  I've added Viva Decor Light Blue Pearl Pen to the Swirls for some added dimension. Now you really need to go and check out all the Viva Decor Inka Gold colors that Susana carries over at SCACD!
*************
Now for project #2!  For this project I have used some more chipboard and Viva Decor products!
This card was made using the beautiful Sprite....isn't she just a doll?!  I absolutely love her!  She's so adorable!  To get your own Sprite all you need to do is order the BRAND NEW Aurora 2 Collection by Victoria Case for SCACD....because this cutie comes FREE with your set!  Susana also has amazing prices on her stamp sets which means that your stamps are less than $5 a piece...PLUS the Sprite Freebie....how wonderful is that?  Papers are a combination of Kaisercraft Gypsy Sisters and Papermania Raspberry Champagne.
Sprite has been stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copics and accented with my white gel pen.  I've popped her up on two Spellbinders Big Scalloped Circles.  The background effect behind Sprite was made using my SU Vintage Wheel and Hero Arts Shadow Ink in Soft Pink.  When you stamp with the Hero Arts ink it looks dark but dries to a very soft hue.  I've again used my Viva Decor Ice White Pearl Pen to add some small pearls to the darker die.
Flowers are Zva Creative Roses that have been glitzed with Diamond Stickles and set on top of a Ribbon Rose (this ribbon is pretty cool....my Mom got it for me for my birthday and I love it!)  Heart Pins are Maya Road and rosebuds are light pink 4mm Closed Rosebuds from Wild Orchid Crafts.
And now for the CHIPBOARD!  This sign was soooo much fun to make!  I took my blank piece of chipboard and my Viva Decor Light Carmine Paper Pen.  I put a generous amount of Viva on the chipboard and smeared it around with a make up sponge.  While the piece was still wet I took my SU Vintage Wheel and wheeled it through the Viva which left the same amazing print as the background that Sprite is popped up on.  I then set the chipboard aside to dry, which took a little while.  **NOTE**if you try this technique make sure that you clean off your wheel RIGHT AWAY so the Viva doesn't dry on.  I just ran my wheel under water immediately after using and it cleaned right up with water.

Susana has LOTS of naked chipboard pieces over at SCACD and LOTS of Viva Decor products for you to alter your chipboard with!  Have fun playing with your chipboard!  Make sure you stop back the 1st Monday of the Month to see what other Messy Creations we will have to share with you!

WOJ #84 - Fuzz It

Hello Everyone~

Hope you are having a wonderful week so far!  CHA has been awesome...got a migraine at the end of day one so that hasn't been the greatest...hoping the headache goes away REAL fast!  This week at WOJ Challenge Blog Donalda has put together a very fun challenge!  This week is to FUZZ your projects!  This can be felt, flower soft, flock, anything fuzzy!
For my card I have used this new cutie from the Summer Store Stamp Kit.  I absolutely love this cutie!  I paired her up with some Cosmo Cricket DeLovely papers.  The edge of my papers have been stickalized with star dust stickles.
Of course the image of this bathing beauty and the starfish were colored with Copics.  I've tried coloring her with darker "skin" colors to make it look like she got a tan.  Then, I've used Silver Spica on her sunglasses and then coated the lenses with diamond glaze for a more realistic "sunglass" look.  For my Fuzz I have added ultra fine flower soft in sand to parts of the beach, and then I took white flock and created some white puffy clouds in my airbrushed sky.  The beach scene was created with my Copic ABS.
Flower are from the famous, Wild Orchid Crafts.  This first arrangement uses the Daffodils and 6mm closed rosebuds.
The bottom arrangement was made with 35mm Large 2-colored Wild Rose, another Daffodil, and some 15mm yellow roses that I took my Copic ABS and airbrushed to match the large wild rose being 2 colors.
Finally here is another view so that you can see the "fuzz" on my project better.

**BLOG CANDY UPDATE: Don't forget about the candy that Susana has running over at the SCACD blog!**

New ISS and Cosmo Cricket!

Happy Monday! I hope everyone's week is off to a great start! My Monday was a crazy day! This past weekend was our town's craft fair so I of course had a booth and sold some of my projects! I have another craft fair coming up this Saturday, and hope that my sales increase! :) Today was crazy as I first had to get caught up on laundry (which means going to the in-laws house for the day), then I have 3 exams this week so it was study between loads of laundry....and I had to finish my card to share with you today! I finally got home now so I could upload my pictures to share my creation with you! Then it's back to studying and doing homework....I'd much rather be online blogging though! ;)

Meet Snowman Chick! She's a newbie over at InStyle Stamps! I think she is as cute as a button and knew I had to use her with my Cosmo Cricket Jolly by Golly paper pack from over at Embellish! These papers are delish!!! If you don't have them, they are a total must have in my book, although I think by now everyone knows that I am a paper addict and I think all papers are a must have! Hee hee! This specific pack is so adorable though! Very fun and festive!

Today is also the sketch challenge over at Club Anime so I used Melissa's great sketch for my card! Again, I am so in love with these papers from Cosmo Cricket.

I used my Spellbinders Create A Flake 1 dies to create these beauty! I also used my Twinklets for the very first time and I have to say I love this product! The crystal look that they give is amazing and makes your paper look exactly like a snowflake! So what do you think?
I used my Copics to color my image, and then went over the Snowman with my Twinkling H2O in Icicles to give him some shimmer. I hope you like how this card turned out!
