Peeking In to Say HI!

Hi Everyone~

I hope you are enjoying your week....good news it's the weekend!! YAY!!  I hope you all are controlling your PEEKER FEVER by purchasing your very own The Peeker #2 Collection by Elisabeth Bell for SCACD?!?!  I can tell you that I totally am controlling my fever by creating with this cuties!  Today I am sharing my creation using Secret Garden Peeker!  Make sure you grab a cup of coffee, tea, or hot cocoa, as this post is a bit lengthy....hee hee
Seriously I am soooo in love with all of these adorable Peekers!!!  Miss. Secret Garden Peeker is so cute, I love how she is so shy, but yet wants to hop on over the fence to go and play with her friends!  The papers I have used on this cutie are the gorgeous and oh-so-stunning Kaisercraft Blae & Ivy!  OMG if you haven't ordered yours yet you sooooo need to get this pad...I love the elegance and beauty in each and every sheet in this pad!  And it has to be good if I love it and there is NO pink in it! LOL!  Susana has some AMAZING new 6x6 paper pads in too....you best go and order your favorites now before they are sold out!  Click -->here<-- to go and see what I'm talking about! :)
Sweet Garden Peeker was colored with Copics and accented with my pastel pencil.  I airbrushed the sky around her.
The moment I saw this adorable Peeker I knew that I wanted to make a shaker card with her (Kylie has an amazing tutorial that I followed)!  The scene of this stamp is perfect to add some Green German Glass Glitter (80 Grit) mixed with some Kelly Green German Glass Glitter (100 Grit) ...have you seen the German Glass Glitter that Wild Orchid Crafts carries...oh my word....this stuff take glitter to a WHOLE new level!  The sparkle this glass glitter gives is totally out of this world....so much more sparkly that regular glitter!!!  I'm totally in love!!! WOC carries this is many colors and in medium and fine grit levels...which also mix very well together!t

To make the shaker part of my card:
1.  I cut my colored image out with my Labels 1 Spellbinder Die.
2.  I also cut out a piece of acetate using the same die that I used in step 1.
3.  I took my designer piece of paper and my Square Spellbinder Die and cut out a square. *Make sure that you leave enough edge around the square because you will also be cutting out the Label 1 again over top of the square.*
4.  Now with the same piece of paper that you have from Step 3 with the missing square in the middle, take that Labels 1 die again from step 1 and place the die over the square opening (see I told you that you would be using this piece of paper again :)  When you cut this out it will give you the deisgner paper  frame.
5.  Now Glue/tape (I used scor tape because it holds the best, in my opinion) your acetate piece to the back side of the frame that you just made in step 4.
6.  Now you will place foam tape all the way around the back side edges of the frame, do not leave any gaps. (If you leave gaps then you will have glitter all over when you shake your card.)
7.  Pour your glitter into the middle of your frame on the acetate.
8.  Attach your colored image to the foam tape.
9.  Finally, shake and look at the beauty you just created!

Now back to the contents of the card:
The lace is also from WOC!  This is actually two types of the lace at the store.  The top layer with the blue edging is White Kniting Lace with Baby Blue Edging which is layered on top of some Wide White Guipure Lace.  The bow is created with some gorgeous silk ribbon and my Bow Easy...Gotta love being able to get the perfect bow every time!  The corner was accented using a decorative metal corner...I so love the elegance that these add!
My flower arrangement was made using Wild Orchid flowers that consists of:  25mm Rose, Cherry Blossoms, 15mm Roses, the green 15mm roses are the moss green roses from the classic colour collection (love the beautiful deep color of these!), 5mm closed rosebuds, and Gypsophilas.  The beautiful crochet butterfly is NEW Venise Lace at Wild Orchid...these appliques are stunning!!!  I then added some gorgeous self adhesive pearls to accent this beauty as well as the sentiment on the card (sentiment is from Kraftin Kimmie)!  Foam tape was used to pop up the wings to appear that the butterfly has just landed on the card.
From here you can see all the dimension of the card! :)  I hope you have enjoyed this cutie!  I can't wait to see the beautiful shaker cards you all make now!!!  Please drop by and leave me a link to your shaker card...I'd LOVE to see what you create!

WOC Blog Hop & Candy

Welcome to the Wild Orchid Crafts Classic Colour Roses Blog Hop!  Today the WOC DT are bringing to you some beautiful new roses called:
CLASSIC COLOUR RANGE OF
MULBERRY PAPER ROSES!!
This collection is an all new colour range and is a mixture of Vintage and Soft Faded colours!!!  They are all BEAUTIFUL!!!

If you've come here from the fabulous Jacqui's blog then you are in the right spot.  If not, please go to Bev's blog to start at the beginning of the hop....because you don't want to miss a stop along this amazing hop...plus you HAVE to check out these NEW Classic Colour Roses....they are gorgeous!!!
For my card I have used 2 new to me techniques.  First I stamped my image on some kraft cardstock and then took my paint brush with a little bleach and bleached out the stamped image so that I could use my Copics to color the beautiful image.  After it was colored I ran it through my embossing folder to give the image a faux cross-stiched/fabric look.  I think it's perfect for a vintage theme!  Cotton Lace (from Wild Orchid) adds to the  beautiful vintage look of this card.  Decorative Metal Corners (also from Wild Orchid) were the perfect touch to add even a little more vintage to this card....I absolutely adore these corners...they are so light weight and I adhere them and my flowers to my creations using the fabulous Crafters Pick Incredibly Tacky Glue.  Papers are from the Kaisercraft English Rose Collection.
Flowers from Wild Orchid make up my arrangement which consists of a NEW 35mm Classic Colour Trellis Rose, NEW Classic Colour 25mm Roses, Cherry Blossoms, NEW Classic Colour 10mm Roses, Hip Rosebuds, 4mm Closed Rosebuds, and Burgundy Crystal Stems.
Image corners have been accented with Self Adhesive 3mm Pearls.  I can't believe how many of these pearls come in one package...you definitely are getting more than your $$ worth when purchasing these...and the wide arrangement of colors to choose from at Wild Orchid means that you can match your pearls to any creation you make!!!

Thanks to a very generous Paul and Siri at Wild Orchid Crafts, I'm lucky enough to be able to give away some of these fabulous NEW Classic Colour Roses!!  Make sure you leave a comment for your chance to win the following prize:

Bring on Summer or at least Spring.....

Happy Saturday Friends!  Are you getting ready for your Easter Celebrations?  I hope the weather is nice where you are at...in WI we are having some unseasonable cold weather....I'm soooo ready for summer....or at least spring!  We still had snow this past week....YUCKO!  Thank you to everyone for the prayers for my friend's family...they are greatly appreciated during this difficult time for them!

Now onto some crafty fun....Today I have yet another post it note holder to share with you....are you getting sick of these yet? LOL
This creation was made for another co-worker of mine!  This features Fresh Picked by Carmen Medlin for SCACD.  She is from the Reflection #2 Collection.  I sooo adore how Carmen's images are so realistic!!!
Papers are from the beautiful Prima Madeline Collection.  I seriously can't get over the amount of paper you get in these paper packs for the $$$....a WONDERFUL purchase!  Plus this collection has the wonderful balance of bold and soft colors...one of my favorite 6x6 pads!
Miss. Freshed Picked was colored with Copics.  She was cut out and popped up on a combination of SB Mega Oval and Mega Scalloped Oval nesties.
Flower arrangement consists of a De Soie Suffolk Prima beauty.  The rest of the arrangement are white flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts which have been airbrushed to match my color combo.  These flowers are: 25mm rose, 20mm rose, Hip Rosebuds, Heather Stem, and a 25mm Rose leaf.
Here is the bottom of the easel card which is the home for the post it notes.  Has been accented with more Wild Orchid Crafts flowers that are 10mm Roses, and 4mm closed Rosebuds.  I hope you've enjoyed this beauty!

Enjoy your time with your family this weekend and remember to tell them that you love them!!!!

SURPRISE....It's A New Day Blog Hop!

Happy Friday Everyone!  I hope you all had a FABULOUS week and are gearing up for the weekend!  For those of you who got hammered with the snowstorm I hope you are finally able to dig out from all that snow!  I can't imagine 2 feet of snow...YIKES!  I hope those of you who were traveling (especially Marti and Suzanne who were at CHA) are now home safe and sound!

This weekend we are gearing up for the SUPER BOWL....I tell you I am not a huge football girl but when the GREEN BAY PACKERS are in the Super Bowl you can bet that I will be watching...for those of you who don't know I only live an hour away from Green Bay...I work and go to school in Green Bay so I am a true fan!!!!  I have my Rodger's jersey all set to wear that day...hopefully I can get all my homework done before the big game!

Now onto my fun for today....soooo DID YOU HEAR.....
SCACD has some FANTASTIC NEW STAMPS available today!  OMG these are all adorable and I tell ya I have been coloring like crazy having so much fun with all of these newbies!  Sooooo......if you are here from the fabulous Elaine's Blog then you are in the correct spot!  If not....head over to the SCACD Blog to start at the beginning of our fantastic hop....TRUST ME you don't want to miss a stop along the hop!  Plus there are prizes to be won!!!
This little girl is near and dear to my heart!  I am so happy to introduce you to Kim in Awe by Elisabeth Bell for SCACD! She is a part of the Spring Sampler by Elisabeth Bell for SCACD! Isn't she precious?  I am so thrilled and excited to tell you that this cutie pie was named after moi!  I was thrilled beyond words when Susana told me that this sweetie was named after me!  Isn't she sooooo cute how she's exploring new things....yep takes after me....as I love exploring new things...from the wonderful world of accounting, to different crafting items, to books....everything I tell ya!  So that is the story behind Kim! ;)  Thanks again Susana...you truly have blessed me with your friendship (heart ya lots!)

Now, enough of my babbling in excitement and back to my card!  The papers are from the wonderful Bo Bunny Crazy Love (hurry and get yours as it's 15% off right now!)  I love this pad as it's all full of brown and pink combinations....as many of you know my favorite color combo!  lol!
Kim in Awe as been colored with Copics and accented with a White Gel Pen.  I also too my Sakura star dust pen and accented the folds in her dress and on her bow to add a soft subtle glimmer to the image!  The background has been airbrushed with my Copic ABS while it was still in the SB Labels 9 die to get the crisp white edge!
Flower arrangement 1 consists of a 30mm Wild Rose, 15mm roses, 10mm roses, 8mm semi-opened rosebuds, and 4mm closed rosebuds.
I felt this sentiment fit this card so beautifully!  I truly believe that it is the little things in the life that matter the most....I have to remind myself of that all of the time...It's the I Love Yous and Hugs and Kisses that matter the most in life!  And it's so funny how little things can trigger such wonderful memories!!!!  The little flower that you see on the sentiment is an embellishment that I have made myself!  This beautiful flower as been made with Clay!  I've used the Hearty Lightweight Air Dry Clay that Susana carries!  This stuff is absolutely AMAZING and easy to work with!  At first when I got it I was thinking it was going to be hard to use....but it's so fun and easy and LOVE it for embellishments because when it dries (I let mine dry overnight)it really is lightweight...I think my paper flowers are way more heavy then the clay!  I found my flower mold on etsy but Susana has some SUPER FUN products for clay which you can find, -->here<--Then I took my Viva Decor Lilac Pearl Pen (of course after the clay is dry) and coated the clay to make it colorful!  My next venture is to try the AMAZING Viva Decor Percious Metal Paints on the clay...I think this will be out of this world gorgeous!!!

I hope you have enjoyed my card and my namesake stamp!  The layout and design of my card was inspiration from the fabulously talented Claudia Rosa!  I so adore her work and you can find the card that she made that inspired me here.

Now if that wasn't enough I have ONE MORE card to share with you today!  By now you are probably getting sick of reading my LONGGGG post....but trust me....if you hang in there until the end you will be pleasently surprised....as I think there's a chance to win some fabulous candy....*wink wink*
This card features Celebrate by Victoria Case for SCACD!  Oh my word is this such a fun stamp!  I seriously have tons of ideas floating around in my head of what I want to create with this stamp yet!  The possibilities are truly endless....it can be used for a wedding card, birthday card, anniversary card, graduation card....or in this case a Welcome Baby Card!  Our friends are pregnant with twin boys....we are so excited for them!  She is due in April and I already have her Baby Card made for the arrival of little Blake and Alex!  Papers I have used are from K&Company, .but you really need to check out the fun Best Creations Paper Packs that Susana has at the store...they are full of glittery goodness!  I am soooo ordering mine this weekend!!!  I think the Safari Boy and Safari Girl would sure make cute baby cards with this Celebrate stamp!
The image has been colored with Copics and accented with lots of fun products!  The swirls have been accented with my Sakura star dust pen again for that soft subtle glittery effect.  Then I have used Illuminate Smooch on the hearts on the bottom tier of the cake and the circles on the top tier!  (Don't forget Susana has the BRAND NEW Smooch colors available now too!)  The bottom tier pearls were accented with my Viva Decor Light Blue Pearl Pen and the ruffle was glittered up with my Viva Decor Hologram Glitter Liner!  The centers of the flower and the candle flame were shined up with my Viva Decor Sunny Yellow Gloss Pen.  And finally the top melted wax on the candle was "frosted" with my Viva Decor Ice White Pearl Pen to make it look like the candle was really melting.
Then to make this image even MORE fun I I stamped it 3 times and dimensionalized the cake! As you can see the bottom tier is popped up 2 times, the middle layer and top layer are both popped up once.  One of the little flowers on top was also popped up to make it look like it was hanging over the top cake layer!  I hope I have inspired you!  I soooo can't wait to create some of the other fun ideas I have for this cake and of course to share them with all of you!
Flower arrangement 1 consists of a 25mm Wild Rose, cherry blossoms, 15mm roses, 10mm roses, and blue crystal stems.
Flower arrangement 2 consists of a 25mm Wild Rose, 15mm roses, and a stork charm.
And finally one more picture to share another view of the 3D-ness of the cake with you!  For those of you who have stayed with me through this super long post...I thank you very much from the bottom of my heart.....and as a reward....and because I am soooo excited to have a stamp named after me....I have some FUN CANDY that I am offering to you all!  I will be giving away a Kim in Awe stamp to one of my fantastic readers!  All you need to do to win is to comment on this post and tell me what is your favorite SCACD stamp that released today? TIOT #88 - Suzanne's Sketch

Hi Everyone~

Yes, it's Friday and I am finally posting my TIOT!  Sorry it's a day late...it's been a crazy school week!  Had an exam on Tuesday so I didn't get any crafty time this week.  This week over at the SCACD Blog Suzanne has challenged us to use a super fun sketch!
Today I have used the super fun Little Sprite from the New Mini Little Acorns Collection by Victoria Case for SCACD.  Papers are from the Basic Grey Euphoria Collection.
Little Sprite was colored with Copics and accented with a white gel pen.  I've used the two different color technique that I also made on -->this little acorn card<--.  She's been popped up on top of a SB Labels 14 which was then popped up on top of a SB Labels 4.  The glitter around the edge of the Labels 14 has been created with my TonerTex pen and glitters, I've used the teal colored glitter.  I've also used the TonerTex Foils on the middle of the flowers of Sprite's dress.
These gorgeous Epoxy Baubles were made using the Ephiphany Crafts Solid Round 14 Maker and Round 14 Bubble Caps. If you haven't read my post on the Ephiphany Crafts, click -->HERE<-- to go and see more info regarding them!  They truly are amazing products!
Flowers of course are from the fabulous Wild Orchid Crafts!  For my arrangment I have used a Gardenia, 20mm Roses, 15mm Roses, 10mm Roses, and 4mm Closed Rosebuds.

SHOPPING NEWS~ SCACD has gotten some AMAZING NEW paper pads in!  Check out the Brand New Kaisercraft After 5 , English Rose. and Seaside!  Then there are also Brand New Webster Pages Santa/Sweet Season and Wonder Fall/Hollywood Vogue! All of these are amazing...I just ordered mine today...and can't wait to get them!  While you are at the store make sure you check out the Viva Decor products, Susana recently reduced the price of the AMAZING Pearl Pens!  Happy Shopping!

Wild Orchid - Flower Premiere & TIOT #86

Happy Thursday....wow the week is winding down for me....I'm very excited for this weekend, I'm in need of a little down time.  I've now gone through 3 interviews and have an exam in my nutrition class today.  I'm hoping to hear back on the interviews next week....I'm definitely saying my prayers, and crossing every body part that I can that I get a call back from the firm that I really want to work for! :)

Well today I have some EXTRA FUN CRAFT NEWS for you!  Wild Orchid Crafts has some BRAND NEW flowers in stock and boy are these beauties!!!!  WOC is now carrying Poppies!  I've used them in my flower arrangements on both the top and bottom of my easel card for today!  Seriously these flowers are must haves in my opinion!
I've decided to create a fun easel card...this actually was the card that I made for my Mom for her Birthday card!  This card also ties in over at the SCACD Blog for TIOT where this week Suzanne has challenged us to create a fun card using an image with an animal....well an insect is still an animal, right?! lol!
Here you can see the main panel of my card.  I've used the cutie pie Little Acorn by Victoria Case for SCACD.  She of course is from the Mini Little Acorn Set!  I've used a new coloring technique on this card too....the other day I was at my mom's using her Copics and she didn't have a specific color, so I mixed two different color families and like how the coloring turned out (I will have a sample with this other image soon)!  So I tried the fun coloring technique on this image too!  For Little Acorn's pants I've used Y and YR colors, for her shirt and hat I've used RV and YR colors!  I really like the mixed look it gives!  I've used papers from the Prima Fairy Flower Collection.  Little Acorn has been popped up onto a SB Beaded oval which then had been glamored up with my Viva Decor Lilac Pearl Pen.  The ladybug has been glitzed up with my TonerTex Pen and Red Glitter!
Here you can see the fun bottom panel with a cute ladybug that I had in my stash and I thought would be perfect for this card!  Flowers in this arrangement are White Poppy (that was airbrushed), 15mm roses, and 6mm closed rosebuds.
Finally is my main panel flower arranemgent that consists of Champagne Pink Curly Wild Rose, White Poppies (that have been airbrushed pink), 20mm Roses, 15mm roses, 6mm closed rosebuds, and 3mm pearls.

Challenge I would like to enter:
Sketch Saturday - Sketch (although I tweeked it a bit...lol!)

TIOT 84 - Anything But a Square

Happy Weekend!

I hope you are having some fun this weekend!  WOW another week of school has gone by!  This semester sure is flying by....must be because I am really enjoying my classes!  However, with a busy week full of homework means not a lot of crafty time. :(  I did finally get my TIO*T* card done for this week! YAY!  Suzanne has challenged us to create a card that is ANYTHING BUT A SQUARE!  Oh I love making fun shaped easel cards!!!  So I grabbed my SB Labels 11 and went to work!
The cutie on this card is one of the new Animapeeps from the newest Elisabeth Bell for SCACD collection....her name is Just Ducky.  Speaking on NEW....I have a bunch of NEW goodies on this card!  The wonderful papers are from the Cosmo Cricket Mitten Weather collection.  These papers are so beautiful....there are gorgeous holiday papers in here as well as papers that can be used for any occasion, like those that I've used on this card.  And my FAVORITE new tool  that I have used on this card is the Epiphany Crafts flower button maker!  See those oh so cute flower buttons....I made them myself with the papers from the Mitten Weather Cosmo Cricket collection!  I love how easy it was to make buttons that matched my project perfectly!  These makers are a dream to use, SUPER easy, and MEGA fun!  I think it took me less than 2 minutes to make both customized buttons!  You seriously need to get one of these!  I can't wait to use my solid round one now! :)
Isn't Just Ducky so adorable?  She seriously is a dream to color!  I've colored her with Copics and and then accented her with my TonerTex Pen and have used Diamond Glaze on her eyes.  I've used the TonerTex pen and Glitters on her hair bow and boots.  Then this sweetie's umbrella was accented using the TonerTex pen and Foils.  Love the holographic foils, they are so gorgeous!  Here you can see a close up of the Epiphany button too!
The bottom of the card holds a sentiment so this card can be used for any occasion, and again showcases the Epiphany button!
Finally, a side view to share the dimension and shine with you.  The umbrella has been double popped up so that it sits higher than Just Ducky.  I hope you have enjoyed my Anything But a Square card, make sure you head over to the SCACD Blog to see what my DT Sisters have made!  I hope you come back soon, as I have some more goodies to share with you soon!
