Mother's Day - Take 2

Happy Saturday!  I hope you are all having a fabulous start to your weekend!  Mine started out great....yesterday was my Anniversary.....Hubby and I have been married for 5 years; we spend the afternoon together and then went out for dinner last night....it was a very nice day!

Today I have the Mother's Day card that I made for my Mom to share with you!

My Mom LOVES Magnolia stamps so I knew I had to use a cute Tilda for her Mother's Day card!  When I saw Tilda with Cozy Heart I knew that this was the cutie that I had to use for my Mom's card!  For papers I have used the MME Lost & Found Breeze Collection (which is 20% off right now at SCACD).

Tilda was colored with Copics and pastel pencils.  Her heart and hair ties got a coat of Star Dust Stickles (look at all of the glitz and sparkle...I love it!)  She was cut out using a SB Circle and popped up onto a SB Scalloped Circle.  While she was still in the Circle die I airbrushed lightly around the edges to give that clean white frame.  The beautiful butterflies coming to join Tilda are Small Sequin Butterflies that are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

WOC Flower arrangement consists of a Chrysanthemum, 25mm Roses, 15mm Roses, 8mm Semi-opened Rosebud, Heart Pin, and a Decorative Crown Pin.

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to all my family and friends!  Today I want to share the card that I made for my Mother-in-law for Mother's Day....I can't share the card that I made for my Mom yet because she's on my blog and will see it before I can give it to her tonight :)

 I've used one of the gorgeous Guardian Angels from the SCACD collection....isn't she a beauty!!!  This is Sentimental Angel...I love her to pieces!!!  Papers are from the gorgeous MME Indie Chic Saffron Collection.  Sentiment comes from the Verve Joyful Blooms Collection.

Little Miss Sentimental Angel was colored with Copics and pastels.  Her wings got a coat of Diamond Stickles.  Her headband, hair tie, and flower on her jeans were coated with Illuminate Smooch.  Her belt buckle was dazzled up with my Gold Spica.  Now for the beautiful heart....this is a Studio Calico wooden heart from the Hearts & Arrows Collection that Susana carries in the store -->here<--.  I took this plain wooden heart and then grabbed my Gum Arabic Powder and my Luminarte Pink Azalea Mica Powder.  I mixed equal parts of the Gum Arabic Powder and Mica powder....added some water to it with my paint brush and got this gorgeous "paint" to cover my wooden hearts with.  I absolutely LOVE the shimmer and sparkle in these Mica powders...they are AMAZING!  Remember: if you want the sparkle of the Mica to stick you need to add the Gum Arabic powder with it :)  However you can get a gorgeous watercolor with just the Mica and water.

Wild Orchid Crafts arrangement consists of a beautiful Large Wild Rosebud, 30mm Wild Rose, 15mm Rose, Aster Daisy, Sweetheart Blossoms, 8mm Semi Opened Rosebuds, 4mm Rosebuds, and another Studio Calico Heart that was painted like the one above.  Flowers got a coat of Star Dust Stickles for glitz.

WOC arrangement #2 consists of a 15mm Rose, Sweetheart Blossoms, and 4mm Rosebuds. These flowers too got a coat of Star Dust Stickles.

Pinterest Project #1

Happy Sunday...I hope you all are having a fabulous weekend!  Today I have a different type of project that I am so excited to share with you all!!!

How many of you are addicted to Pinterest?  My sister and I are very addicted and LOVE Pinterest....we have MANY projects in the waiting to complete and every day the list keeps getting longer and longer of things we want to make!

Yesterday we competed our very first Pinterest project!  In April my sister had the opportunity to head over seas and visit Germany, Italy and France.  Her boyfriend is in the U.S. Army and is stationed in Germany at the moment.  On her trip she took some AMAZING photos and found a project on Pinterest to take your photos and adhere them to canvas to hang on the wall as a collage.  She went and bought the canvases in three different sizes and then picked out which photos she wanted to blow up to those sizes.  I had some black metallic acrylic paint so she painted the edges of each canvas; and yesterday we used spray adhesive to attach the photos.

Here is the finished collage!  What do you think?  Of course these aren't on the wall yet; as my sister's boyfriend is coming back to the states in August so she will be moving, but we wanted to get the canvases complete now since she had the photos  :)  Aren't her photos gorgeous?   I can't wait to see this on the wall of her new home!!!

And one side view so that you can see the beautiful canvas edges!  We absolutely LOVE how this turned out!  Now we can say we actually completed a Pinterest Project! :)  I can't wait until my house is build so that I can make a photo collage with some photos of mine!  I hope we have inspired you to make a project that you have found on Pinterest! :)

Peeker Fever is on.....

My first card today features the precious My Family Peeker who is a part of the Sweet Home Peekers Collection!  Isn't she the sweetest?   Papers is from Simple Stories Documented Collection.  I love the neutral tones in this collection!

She was colored with Copics....her skirt and shoes got a coat of star dust stickles.  The outside of the picture frame was coated with Diamond Glaze for some shine!

WOC Flower arrangement consists of a Zva Creative Rose, 25mm Roses, 15mm Roses, Hip Roses, and Gypsophilas.  The punched border was accented with self adhesive pearls.

Copic Colors Used: Shoes/Skirt: R56, R59, Blender with R56 tip to tip, Shirt: T2, T4, T6, T8, Hair: E35, E53, E57, E59, Skin: E000, E00, E11, Table: E42, E43, E44, E47, Picture Frame: R56, R59, E30, E31, T4, T6, T8, E00, E11, B21, B24, R83, R85.

My second card features the super cute Seashell Peeker from the Summer Time Peekers Collection.   Papers are from the MME Lost & Found Breeze Collection (which is on sale right now as SCACD).

She was colored with Copics and pastel pencils.  The water and ground were made using the ultimate fabulous Luminarte Silks and micas.  For the water I used Clear Silk and Stargazer Mica.  I dipped my paint brush into my clear Silk and then just dipped it into the mica and painted away!  Easy Peesey! For the sand I used Honey Amber Silk, Harvest Sol Silk, and Dragonfly Wing Mica....I absolutely LOVE the shimmer of the Luminarte products!  If you haven't gotten any yet you really need too!!  The seashell was coated with Diamond Glaze Stickles.

WOC flower arrangement consists of a 35mm Trellis Rose, 25mm Roses, 15mm Roses, 10mm Rose, 8mm Semi-Opened Rosebuds, Sweetheart Blossoms, 4mm Rosebuds, and 15mm Leaves.

Eyes of....
